WOW chan~ sounds like a wonderful trip! We too loved Mama melrose this last time. I love the smell in there

Glad you liked Toy story. Savannah and I loved it! I really thought i would be disapointed in it as it was a kid ride but I really enjoyed myself!

the Toy Story ride was MY FAVORITE!!! We all had so much fun on it, and even Alex was allowed on. I can't wait to ride it again!

Channing- Thanks for the report. It is now a sure thing - I need an RPC fix! (Mary is running to get her calendar)...:moped:

Chan do funny about the bird and the burrito!!!

ITA about Ghiradelli vs Beaches N Cream (and that DTD is boring- we only go to World of Disney anymore)

More! More!

Thats the great thing about that ride... there is nothing scary and anyone can ride on it.

my nephew can be a freak when it comes to anything remotely creepy... he even hates IASW as he feels the dolls are staring at him :rotfl2: 4 year olds are lots of fun

this was HIS favorite ride by far! My brother and I were able to "compete" ..got to love sybling competition :rotfl2:

and the kids had a ton of fun on it too.

I don't think that is competely true- I think you must be able to sit upright. I would think they offer a babyswap though, if not Lesely might be out of luck in January with the wee one :confused3

thats true ... no lap babies allowed... i guess what i meant was its not scary for the little ones. There are a lot of rides my niece and nephew had to by pass for the scare factor. my nephew is even scared of the buzz lightyear ride :rolleyes1

We will have our tour guide again in Jan so he should help us with the baby swap issue (if there is one). He actually works at DHS and he knows all the CMs there so we got extra awesome treatment at DHS. As long as it's not Star Wars Weekends when we go, I will be happy though!!! :rotfl:

Heck I have not even been on 1/2 of the rides at WDW. DD 8 is scared to death of most everything so I just do not go. I am hoping with the other family and my inlaws etc on this next trip she will get a little braver.

Hey Lesley you might want to post those photos on the GF resort photo thread. Just a thought.

Channing-Thanks for all your great details. :goodvibes You are a FAB storyteller!!Thanks for sharing all your dining details:rotfl: We are doing deluxe on this trip and lots of food is in store for us. Good to hear Mama Melrose was great, we are trying in Jan. I love that you got to see Abba at Epcot, we saw The British Invasion and my kids just danced and danced:banana:

Glad Toy Story was a hit!! Along the scary ride details, has anyone enjoyed The Stitch ride? We took our 3 year old on and she could not wait to get out of there. I really did not get that ride:confused3 or enjoy!! The Monsters Comedy Club was hysterical though!!

Have a great night:cloud9: evie

well...i just spent flippin 2 hours going thru my pics and rotating them haha...and trying to deal with the new software of whatever the **** it is that is different on this stupid butt laptop than the pc and I QUIT. I am sooooo miffed. Colin is mad at me becuase I have no patience AT ALL. I am AGGRAVATED. So...tomorrow...i am doing it on the PC the OLD way. ugh. FRUSTRATION. I HATE COMPUTERS.

So...i am trying to remember more. It was sooo long and soooo crazy even though it was relaxing too..it seems we crammed a lot in.

Well...looking at the pics I am going OMG I totally forgot. Well that first night we ate at Brown Derby and it was good as usual. They DID not bring out Bday desserts like I really thought they would. That was odd. :confused3 I didn't say anything but I was disappointed for Lucy. Colin didn't care I know, but kids still like the fuss. We hung out a little tiny bit at DHS and then went back to YC to relax and unpack ...it had been a LONG day.

Oh...on our last day - going over to the Dolphin to get the car we won the 2008 dreams ears! I couldn't believe it. All along i had not seen ANY dream squad peeps and then walking to International Gateway there were like 7 of them standing there and once you crossed an imaginary line they handed us hats! :rotfl: On our LAST DAY!! That was cool. Of course Zack wasn't with us so no Dreams Ears for him.

Hmmm......we had LOTS of luck with the MK after 9:30 pm. We would either enter just before or after Wishes and stay til closing or almost. We would get to walk on the Adventureland rides, low lines at BTM, and HM and pretty good at Pooh, the Speedway, Teacups etc. Those were our best times! Late at night at the MK was magical. AND the weather was great during that time. It was muggy but not dreadfully hot or uncomfortable. We did not have the usual luck at MGM..the new ride is packing them into that park. usually that is our low crowd park! Epcot was fairly decent except tt (which we got FP TWICE for and TWICE it was broken and we couldn't ride!:guilty: ) and MS was busy but we waited the posted 30 min and guess what./?? it broke down and our wait was doubled. We were ALMOST up there and invested that 30 min so didn't want to leave! ANNOYING. We also had issues with SM. It broke a lot! Once on the People Mover we rode thru SM with the lights on...that was cool. Dummy me didn't get my camera out fast enough. LOL....on MK EMH nights it was ugly though. Peeps stayed til WAY late. So we didn't bother again on EMH nights. Zack stayed once til 2 am and it was still crappy lines. Weird but true.

I have pics of the GF's 20th anniversary. That was on Col and Lucy's bday, July 1. The CMs were given magazines with retro pics of the GF etc and guests were given nice notes with old original keys. Kinda neat. There was a huge cake display int eh lobby and then a time capsule of the GF the next day. Luckily we were there and got to take pics.

hm....what else? We had a lot of laughs. It was kind of a drag that Zack was not having them though.:rotfl: :rotfl: He can be a riot, but it wasn't in him this time at all. I have lots of pics of him looking dejected and miserable. He did NOT want to be there. He was pretty good about it though other than sleeping til 1 or 2 pm and not hanging out with us at all......he would spend his time at DTD in Disney Quest, Virgin Megastore or the movies. BORING. I felt bad for him.

Colin and Z took that tour....the Keys to the Kingdom. Well....I think they had a bum guide. Neither was too happy about the tour. Colin had read that Neil Gabler(?)Walt Disney bio and he felt like the guide gave false info, even. There was minimal - like 2 minutes behind the scenes- and that was like some garbage area...the rest was out in public, riding rides, or walking the perimeter of the park - like where the EWP is parked. Now..they were both interested and happy to take this tour but it turned out to be a total disappointment. I think it truly must matter about who your guide is. I think their guide didn't have a real interest in WDW or WD for that matter. Maybe it was just hot? They were less than thrilled with the whole thing for the most part. Colin wants to do the steam train tour next time but Z is saying to count him out.:rotfl: No kidding....I think this was his last family vacation for a long time.

While they were on that tour is when the girls and I planned to be in the MK early and it didn't happen due to Jojo being sickly. That whole day was pretty much toast. ALTHOUGH we called from the MK and were able to rent a cabana so we did that again from 3 - 7. The fridges are MEGA STOCKED now....they have more variety of soda and the bottled water and apple juice boxes.

I did take pics of the Mouseketeer Club. It's super small and not as long even as I remember it.

Once I see and post those pics it will come back to me more. :goodvibes Getting old. :rolleyes1 Nothing stands out in my mind particularly other than it was a wonderful blur of a trip.:)

HOPING to get those pics up tomorrow.

PS...Brook...LOL...we did make it to the make your own ears!! OMG...it was painful though. Jojo and Lucy were sooo excited BUT when Jojo had her hot pink bling ears ready and she had decided on it all...guess what? it didn't fit!!!!!! OMG....it was CHILD size and I guess she had a big head?:rotfl: It was totally wacky on her. THEN...Lucy had hers all done and the stupid ears would NOT stay snapped on. :headache: :headache: :headache: I couldn't talk Jojo into anything other than HOT PINK and that didn't FIT no way no how..she only wanted that hot pink. We tried several combinations of hats/ears for Lucy's and the snaps were crappy!!! :rolleyes1 So it turned into a fuss....Jojo wound up getting a Hannah Montana hat that is super cute on her...she is wearing it in lots of pics. Lucy?? she has several ears already so she dropped it. :rotfl: It's a cute idea but they need more options other than gray, black, and small hot pink! Oh well.....one less thing to ship home.

Chan:)

savannah was having the hardest time with her snaps too!!!

We kept losing the ears and I ended up having to put it in my bag. I thought it was just hers that were defective :rotfl2:

i bet jojo looked cute in her hat with her hm flips!:thumbsup2
