By 10 days out I am completly packed. (maybe 1 or 2 things in daily use that go in the last second (lovey blankie stuff), but that's it.)

:worship: :worship: :worship: I am amazed!!!!!!

I can't pack clothing this far out because we have the same weather here and my kids need the clothes!..... that, or I'm just procrastinating..... take a guess ;)

Hey Brook, are YOU packed yet??????? Make me feel better and say no, please!!!!! :)

hmmm I am half packed :rotfl2:

I have our clothes ironed and in the suitcase ...except for my new outfit I just bought... got to pack it.

I don't have all the "crap" packed yet but I know where it is in the house....

Lesley, you might want to run to Walmart and pick up a bunch of those clear plastic cheapy rain ponchos and throw them in your suitcase. It rains most afternoons in June...fast summer showers which to you northerners are like drenching rains :rotfl2:
They never last more than an hour but can put a damper on things if your in the park. The good news is it cools you off in the heat of the afternoon ...and the ride lines go WAY down when its raining but you do get wet LOL
I usually pack a bunch of those cheapy rain ponchos and keep them in my back pack. That way I can just throw them away when we are done and not bothering trying to re fold them .... AAACKKKK you need to be an engineer or a rocket scientist to fold those things right :rotfl2:

Also, look for those little key chain face stick sun screen things. They are super light weight and great to use so the kids don't get burnt while in the park. Carrying a big old can of sun screen can be a pain but those little sticks keep the cheeks and shoulders from burning!

Where'd ya guys see the advanced test?? Maybe I need to go back and check that out too......

Still waiting on cabana info! :rotfl:

Chan:goodvibes

Good Morning everyone!!!

I am married 17 years today!!! Amazing!!!

Anyway, Channing I don't know what info you waiting for either from the GF or one of us. But I will tell you that last July the two plain cabanas were not FREE!!! One of the women there asked me what I paid because she was flipping out over the price of the plain one. I think it was only $20 cheaper or something like that!!

GREAT IDEA on the ponchos and sunblock!!!!!!!! Thank you! That's why I love this board so much!~

Brook~ Hope you have a great trip! I want to know all about that VIP guide!

Lesley~ Get to packing!! I know it is hard when you are trying to do undies and jammies but try and get outfits together or at least have it written down what you are going to bring. This will make it much easier! I have a suitcase already started for our Dec trip. I know...CRAZY!!

Hope everyone has a great day! Kids are out of school so today is the dentist day and tomorrow is the eye appointments.

Recital went great. Lily was super cute. She did a tumbling number to the "All for One" song from HS Musical. She stood and sang to the crowd the entire time and stuck her finger up for the 1 part. So cute! She is a quite a performer!

Channing~ Your thread on the cabanas gave me quite a laugh this morning!:thumbsup2 You go girl!

Hi Dawn, Mandy and Kelly!!:flower3:

I never knew about the ponchos on our first trip. It poured rain and so I had to buy 4 ponchos at the Disney price which is WAY EXPENSIVE!

Annette, congratulations on your anniversary! Do you get to go out or do something special??

Well I got the news straight from the GF that they will rent the cabanas that are reserved BUT any RESERVED cabanas will be decked out with the SAME ammenitites and extras for the SAME PRICE of $60/half day and whatever it is...$110 for the whole day.

The UNreserved cabanas will be FREE....they always have been and continue to be. This directly from THREE CMS at the GF. So I would believe them over some woman at the side of the pool. :rotfl: Or some pot stirrers on the GF thread.:rotfl2:

If they rent all four, all four will be equal in ammenitites and all teh same in every way.:thumbsup2

Channing :)

We always buy the Disney ones:rotfl: ....they are better quality and last the whole trip....if they tear you can have them replaced for free...plus they have Mickey on them.:rotfl:

That stupid tent thing was STUPID:rotfl: ....there are just some really pissy people. THey don't have any CONSIDERATION for how it might effect anybody else....It won't effect them so they can get as jerky as they are happy to be.:(

Happy Anniversary!

Good mornig to the rest of you naughty trouble makers! ::yes::

Channing~ I did not know you could replace them if they were torn. I take mine back each trip and they are good quality but I remember them being kind of expensive.

Glad the debate on the cabanas is over and we have the true info! Thanks!

We keep those Mickey Ponchos from years back! We have them rolled up in a zipper bag and we keep them on our Disney backpack! I love em!

You couldn't be talkin' to me......I was just out for the truth.:rotfl: I am sick of the negative pissy attitude some people like the throw around over there.::yes:: It gets old and they sit there and act like they don't realize how they come off??!?!:confused3 Too bad because they might be like that in real life, too.:rolleyes1

Save your receipt....they are about $7/each but that' expensive if you can only wear them once. :rotfl: You can get them replaced at any store that sells them - anywhere. It does take an engineer to refold them...that's why I bring DH to WDW.:rotfl2: He's my backpack carrier and poncho folder.

Ya...I think they're cute!:thumbsup2

Dh complained because he told me they were $15 a piece. Probably just something to complain about. $7.00 is not bad at all. Heprobably bought himself something else with the rest of the money.

Anyway- if it is your first trip...buy them somewhere and carry them with you for rainy days!!

At our walmart you can get the cheapy ones for .99 :rotfl2:

I hate carrying them around after using them... wet, messy and a pain to refold as they tend to get bulky. I just buy a bunch of cheapy ones and toss and go for the day :rotfl2:

I usually buy enough for 1/2 the days we will be there in summer. Its not so much the cost of them... its the carrying them around after that I find to be a pain. I hate carrying stuff in the parks so I try to keep it as light as possible.
