Having a GRAND time - The Official GF Chat Thread PART 2

Good morning!
We had a TON of rain last night. It was horrible. I was driving to the recital rehearsal and it just poured buckets. They had streets shut down and everything. We were soaking wet by the time we got there. What a crappy night.

WE need that rain in FLA! Please send it our way! Our yard is dead and we are on very strong water restrictions and we choose to not water anyways. I don't feel right keeping my yard green when rivers, lakes, and even worse peoples wells are drying up around here. My grass is brown and crunches when you walk on it. We are just so prone to wild fires around here and you have to be careful to not let your car idle in grassy areas or you could get a fire started that way! Our neighbors are having a yard sale and tons of people are parking their cars in OUR yard and letting the engines idle. I don't feel like calling the I'm about ready to put down astro turf out front!

My 2 and 3 are playing Fancy Nancy this morning. Anybody ever read that book to their little girls? They are so cute and what they are dressing up in reminds me of Punky Brewster! My DD3 found a baby Lulu hat that is part if a fall outfit and has worn it every where! It is cute when worn with the stuff that matches but not on it's own, they look like hobos! Gotta love dress up time!

Dawn I hope your son gets better soon! No fun taking care of sick guys, they get so needy and whiny! My DH and DS are the worse!

That is the most ridiculous rule..Who the H**L makes up that crap???? I thought it was about the students..obviously not!

I know...it's total BS...the suits in the offices make the decisions and the poor people that do the graet work with the kids have to suck it up and go with it or risk losing their jobs. I cannot tell you the dirty dealings and fight we had to do last yr to get Lucy to be able to keep her itinerant during this middle school transition year. The suits do not care about the kids. It is shameful. It's all administration crap and their convenience and such and other baloney. It is SAD.

Morning Ladies...

Arrrrr I have been up since 6am with a sick son ..no sleeping in today He has the stomach flu since Thurs night, didnt go to school yesterday and now had to cancel 3 umping games today. I felt horrible calling the coordinator to tell her he couldn't ump today, cause now she has to scramble and he is out $60!

It is a beautiful day here in Chicago after yesterday's horrible weather...Vanessa I hope your DH gets his planting done

love that stupid clown. Aw...I am sorry about your son. He's been sick that long?!?!?!? OMG...must be something hideous. Poor kid. Keep washing!! open windows!!! Stay healthy!! That is too bd about missing out on the job and money, too....and on a nice day. Hope he feels better soon.

DH is definately out of the field for a few days. Is this ever going to end??? I have to say this has been the worst winter/spring that I can remember.

Vanessa...It's sunny and nice hrere today...I hope your DH can get that planting done. Yesterday was sooo nasty up here. We had wind and rain in the morning and then it was sunny and muggy for the rest of the day. It even rained a bit with the sun out.

I love Fancy Nancy! We just came back from Target and they are selling dress up things with the Fancy Nancy name. Also they had a doll like AG with seperate outfits! Loved it but DD was like, "it's alright". I was ready to buy it all!!!!

My computer acts funky at night and I can't chat

My computer is so slow at night and i can jump into the chat room but after a few seconds it freezes up and no more post appear.... ugh!

Also, the Crocs Capri Canvas in the patterns are ADORABLE! Saw them in a store today. I wish I would've ordered the Mango ones too. They only had 2 pairs left. Very cute - I think we'll be happy and I'm glad I went out on a limb and ordered the black and white ones

Ok Wendy, Chan, Mandy, Andrea (and anyone else who wears these)..I saw all of the crocs styles at the store today...the capri sandals and the 2 other sandal styles are really cute....both me and my mom are buying a pair! Oooh they were squishy and comfy on my feet!

By 10 days out I am completly packed. (maybe 1 or 2 things in daily use that go in the last second (lovey blankie stuff), but that's it.)
