Good Morning, Good Morning!!!

Humidity is gone for a day or two and my goodness it is beautiful.

Wasn't it nice this morning? I opened some windows when i woke up and this huge cool breeze just flew through the house ahhhhh.

The family was eating cheese doodles last night. I couldnt help myself...they were so good.

:rotfl: :rotfl: We just had them too, its the one snack my kids aren't allowed to eat in the house!! I know I am crazy, but there is orange everywhere when their done!! But they are addicting!!!

Channing, I can't wait to hear about the KTTKtour. We are doing this in August and heard nothing but awsome reviews on it. Have a magical day!!:)

Finally a day here without rain!:thumbsup2

hey cheese ball doodles...

I am back in the room...not having a magical day. Jojo feels sick to her stomach and tucked herself back into bed. Ugh.:sad2:

The guys are doing the tour...I wanted to, but you have to be 16 yrs old....not that I am not 16..God knows I am way past that, haha...but I have younger baggage that is under 16. I hope they enjoy it though. It is good that Z agreed to go. So I am praying they enjoy it. They have done the Segway tours a lot and always had fun on those...exccpt the wl one..that was a letdown..but they did the first ones so maybe they've improved them.

So...anyway.....Boring.....:guilty: I am sure whatever it is will pass and shell feel better soon....(crossing fingers)

Chan:goodvibes

oh no! hopefully its just a combo of heat and too much Disney:sick: ....my kids get that once in awhile

My sister and I are planning to take my mother for a girls' trip to Chicago in September, assuming I can free myself up. I was hoping for more of a boutique hotel, but one that is central to places like the Art Institute, some good shopping and dining. We'd like someplace nice, but not way over the top. I wouldn't say money's not an object at all, because we do want to make this a special trip. Our mother is 80 and her health is failing, so we know she won't be travelling much in the future. I'd love to have great service, and the ability to either have a suite w separate bedroom or we'll get 2 rooms.

Alison
:goodvibes Hi Allison, I have a suggestion for you. We are from central IL, and love to visit Chicago downtown. We have stayed at a great boutique hotel called the Whitehall (right across from Hancock building). I used to get a great rate from my employer, but when I joined DVC I noticed this hotel is on their concierge collection, which says a lot. It has a lot of history and great location to shopping and all the museums. The most amazing beds I have ever slept in. Also, in the lounge is the best chocolate martini I have ever had:) They have a website and you could also go to tripadvisor to get more reviews on. Let me know if you need anything else.:wizard:

Chan- I hope Jo feels better soon and your magic re-appears.:wizard:

Can't wait to hear about the tour but C is alot like my Dh...he'll say "it was good."
And Z is a normal teen he will probably tell you about the tunnels, and that's it :)

Sixisenough: Thanks for the heads up about the Whitehall - I'll certainly check it out...and if is part of the DVC Concierge collection, that's very promising!

Once we make some plans, I'll ask again about restuarant ideas.

Thank you!
Alison

Channing~ Maybe we can do tea after we take you to Hooters next week!!:lmao:

I say we all chip in and buy her HER OWN Hooters outfit!!!

Poor JoJo!! Sounds like the heat is getting to her. A nap will do her good (then take her for some of the yummy mac and cheese she loves so much there!!!) I hope the guys enjoy the tour- hopefully it will be male bonding at its best!

We went to the pool this AM and I am not kidding, but as soon as we walked in our beautiful sunny weather turned grey and windy  We stayed for about an hour then hightailed it outta there before the rain hit. Now I am at home with a cranky 5 year old- CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!!

Channing - hope JoJO feels better soon!:)

I know how she feels, I have a little tummy problem myself! I got the kids off to camps and went back to bed! The nausea is terrible! I wanted to Chat last night but was just starting to feel bad so I went to bed early! Hopefully I'll be chatting tonight!:)

How do you guys convince your husbands to take multiple trips to Disney each year? I'm just curious. I can't believe that DH agreed to go back in January (7 months after our first visit) but I'm wondering if we can make it a yearly thing??

I just say do you want to go in April or May, and then when we get back, do you want to go in October or December?:rotfl2:

Good strategy!!!!! I'll try it in Jan! I guess we've had luck so far since we just got back less than a month ago and are already booked for Jan! :)

Can I borrow your dh for awhile?? 2 suites in one year...you got yourself a catch!

By the way...I tell dh about a year in advance when our trips are. He grumbles but never says a word once it comes time to going and always has a blast. He knows I have a Disney obsession! He loves it also but just would never admit it!

We usually get a trip in about ever 8-10 months.

Good morning everyone!!

Channing~ Hope you have a goody day! Is Jo feeling better?? Get home safe so we can do the IL girls meet next week! Hope you have some $$ left for a little shopping!
