Maxie Is it 75 days until spring...did I remember it correctly from reading your post earlier today... I sure hope so...I think I might have mentioned also that I hate cold weather....

There is definitely no other kind of coffee IMO either...in 75 days I'll be changing from a nice large hot cup to some yummy iced coffee....cant wait!!
There are lots of DD shops here too...good thing makes it easy to stop for a midday boost...

Now if only they'd sell it at WDW....

Evening Gals


Chan......Have fun painting . We painted the whole house in Nov. '07 except the living room and the boys bathroom since I couldn't decide what colors I wanted those 2 rooms . And we still haven't gotten around to doing them . Back in October DH said we'll do it after the holidays so maybe I'll follow you and get that painted soon.....then I'll be all set for awhile . What color are you going with???


Shel........OMG.....you're right there with me with a 16 year old . Isn't it just horrible what we're going to have to go through . I am so NOT looking forward to that . Of course it doesn't do anything for me as far as DS15 driving DS13 anywhere because here in Indiana they have a 90 day probation period where they can't have anyone under the age of 21 in the car with them (unless there is an adult there also). In a way it's not so bad because I'm going to be a basket case with just him driving.....I don't need BOTH of them in the car at first . Glad your inlaw visit was good .


Vanessa......WELCOME BACK . I'm glad you had a great time at WDW for Christmas . My boys really don't have any desire to be gone over Christmas either . We've been gone the last 2 years over spring break and we decided to stay home this year and they both said they were glad......I think they just want to be off school and veg at home rather than be gone .


BlueSkies......That's right.....your DD is getting her license too......scary isn't it . Although don't you have older ones in college ? Of course I don't think it makes it any easier......just more times to be stressed .


Maxie.......OMG.....is DS alright??? How scary......but atleast it was right there at home and not out somewhere else . All I can say is my DS will have a rude awakening if he thinks he's going to have free reign and take off whenever he wants for however long he wants . I told him he will be checking in with me CONSTANTLY .

and I clean up at cvs as well with there extra bucks. I have a coupon for shaws next week that is 30 bucks off an order. Thats right 30 bucks....no need cheer there is no charge for awesomeness!!

I didnt got anywhere to today but DD and I have been home all night watching football go eagles and doing laundry and chatting with peeps.

BlueSkies: Yup, 75 days until spring. The one thing that I do not like about going to Disney or Florida is that there are very few DD's. They are very hard to find. Here you can walk from one to another. That brown stuff they serve in Disney is not coffee.

Deb: DS is fine, he didn't hit anything, just got stuck in the snow. There was a big tree very close though and he just missed it. Do you have Onstar on the car your DS will be driving? My car has it and DS new car does too, but his old car didn't. I always liked when he drove mine before, at least I knew he wouldn't be in a ditch for a week and nobody would know it. I don't know if it is any safer, but it makes me feel better. Plus it has the phone in it that's voice activated, just push one button, and you can't leave it home or turn it off

Sheli - I hate when I accidentally delete a post because it takes me forever to type! Let me know how Burn After Reading is - it looks good.

Chan - My DH hates to go shopping - clothes, grocery, whatever. You are lucky your DH will go along. I don't even want to tell you how much I spent at Publix - it made my stomach turn! I got a lot of good deals and I go to Hot coupon World too ( Thanks Kel!) but I guess because we needed EVERYTHING , it just all added up.

To everyone with teen drivers- is how I feel as my DS approaches driving age! I'm glad I'm not alone.

We will be at Disney the 19-26 of June! Hopefully it all works out scheduling wise, but that is what we are planning on and what I have booked! I know Chan will be there around the same time. Who else will be there then?

Vanessa - Welcome back! Glad you had a great trip! Our friends stayed at Old Key West last year and they enjoyed it! Its out there by itself, but they didn't mind the buses. They liked Saratoga too because it was close to DTD.

I love the Candlelight too and I always cry. It gives me the chills! Doogie Howser was our narrator and he was so good!

Maxie.......DS will most likely take DH's truck since it just sits in the garage every day (unless I don't want to get mine dirty and I drive it )....and it does NOT have OnStar .....mine does but he has no desire to drive it since it's an SUV . I think DH's pickup suits him a little better anyway .


Wendy........THOSE ARE OUR EXACT DATES FOR JUNE . We are booked at the GF from Fri 6/19-Fri 6/26 . I think Chan is booked for June 20-27 but she's thinking of switching to July . Kristin leaves just a few days before we get there too . I think BlueSkies is there sometime around those dates as well .


Chan.....My DH will go shopping with me if I really want him to.....but it's not his first choice of things to do . Plus when he's along for grocery shopping I end up buying alot more candy and junk than I would by myself......so it's just as well he stays home .

Hey GALS!!!

I am between coats...so here I AM!

I have definite opinions on decorating so I am lucky my DH is easy and lets me be free with my creativity. My bedroom - which we painted last Nov...and have been meaning to do the master bath since....is a RL color called "Kauai Jungle" (I am NOT a paint snob...I didn't even use RL paint I prefer Behr...but RL has some killer colors)....and I have a dormer high ceiling with a cedar beam and that ceiling is a lighter shade called "Toast"...very milky coffee IMO...and then the back wall where my bed is...there is this funky triangle high window about 16 feet up..and under that is hanging an antique quilt - white background with a broken star design in red, yellow, green, and blue. So I painted that one quilt wall RED! "Long John REd." I LOVE REDS.....red is a mega theme in my house ...anyway....so the bathroom is mostly that coffee colored "Kauai Jungle"...and then accented with a couple walls or RED..."Long John Red". to be exact...the same as the quilt wall. I LOVE IT! My house is very woodsy and cosy & I love warm colors and easy casual fabrics. I love color!

I also love painting because its gonna force me to do a mega clean on the scary bathroom tomorrow. EEK....the dust and crud ya find when you paint.

Channing Those colors sound so nice! You hit the nail on the head as they say with the teens...they always have the that only happens to other people take on things...hard to get them to see the whole picture...hard to keep from getting gray hair from it!!!

Princesses We'll be there at almost the same time too 16th to 23rd...I think Mare and Annette will be too

Good Morning....NOT!

I want my kids to go back to school but I want someone else to come and get them ready and take them! Isnt that terrible! I wasnt planning on being up this early but I had a coughing attack at a little before 6 so here I am!!! UGGHHH! I am calling the doctor again today!

Chan your colors sound real nice! I used to only use RL paint then I found Benjamin Moore and wondered how I ever painted with anything else! It is so easy to paint with! Well as easy as painting goes...I would rather watch the paint dry than paint....

Shel and Dawn I am sure you are feeling the same way I am about today!!!!

Time to get back to reality and get back on a schedule . This morning actually went pretty good here . Both DSs got up with no problems......they were tired.......but they got up and got ready with no grumpiness or arguing .


Siobhan......I hope the doctor can give you something to get rid of your nasty cough . I hear ya about getting the kids to school ......DS13 gets on the bus and I take DS15 so he can have more time in the morning (high school starts a little later than middle school)...and sometimes I wonder WHY I chose to do that .


Kelly.....Sorry about Anty . Those things happen....we've all been there one time or another.

Wow it was quiet here last night. I got into bed at 9, but I had to watch Rock of Love Bus. So I was up until about 11:30. Not bad considering the 3am nights over vacation. This morning wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Day 1 on the diet ladies. I have 10 holiday pounds to peel off!!!

Vanessa- It sounds like you had a great time. I know what you mean about the kids wanting to be home for holidays. I personally would love to go away, like Chan said, We are the ones who do all the stuff that makes them love holidays at home, they just sit back and enjoy. Just once I want someone else to make all the magic.

Deb- Our boys are so close in age. Oldest turns 16 in August, he's in 10th grade. And the next one just turned 14, he's in 8th like yours. I will also have to in High School next year...mind boggling! I don't feel old, but 2 kids in HS makes me think I must be getting older. UGH! I don't want to be old yet!

Dawn- no pressure but....RPC! RPC! RPC!

Kel- I always hate those accidents, Em was so upset 2 weeks ago when she had one, and she thought she was in trouble, so that made it even worse. Crying hysterically and a wed bed at 2 am...NOT FUN!!!

Chan- Your room colors sound beautiful. I love reds too. I need to figure out what color to paint my living room. Maybe I will take pics of the current (HIDEOUS) decor, and you guys can help. I am terrible with colors.

Siobhan- You had me giggling! I want the kids to go back to school but someone else to get them ready too. And I would rather watch paint dry too! Call that doctor, being sick stinks.

Wendy - last night I had written more than THIS POST...and wiped the whole thing out. I felt like an idiot with what I ended up with time to type. None of it even made sense.

OMG!!! This morning has been the worst!!! Sorry to be so unpleasant this early in the morning but, I can't believe this!!!
It started off well...made myself a Mii on Wiifit...that went well. Had my Slimfast for breakfast but, it's been downhill from there.
I had to change my password on my work computer...did that and haven't been able to log into the network since. I figured I'd get the kids off to school and then get my computer up and running, get organized from home and then head out. Well, it has taken an hour and a half...still not on. Finally,had to get the kids out the door...they were five minutes late...because as we go flying out the backdoor, they all slip and fall. Everything is covered in a layer of black ice. They're all crying...I can't get the car doors open...the windshield is frozen solid...I said no to the automatic starter for Christmas...WHAT WAS I THINKING??? I was able to scrape off a tiny hole that I could see through in the ice to get them around the corner to the school...kissed them goodbye...they're probably scarred for life after this morning!!! But, they're at school and I'm sitting here...still needing to shower...waiting for this freakin computer!!!

Good morning! Happy Monday!!

DS4 woke up at 6:30 am and was so happy to go back to school. He missed all his friends! I'm so happy to finally have him out of the house. DS1 is still sleeping!!!

I don't mind DD coffee, the shops are just really really tiny in NYC. The majority of them you can't enter with a stroller and 90% of the time I'm with a stroller. Starbuck are just more roomy and have nice large restrooms with baby changers. At first I didn't care for their coffee, but now with the new Pike Place roast, I really like it. It doesn't have that "burnt" taste, it's very smooth and mild. I also love Skinny s/f vanilla Lattes. Yum

This June trip I'm bringing my own coffee. I always say I'm going to and never do. But that WDW stuff is just YUCK! In Nov, I finally found one of those Joffey outside-sourced coffee kiosks in the US pavillion of Epcot and have to say that was the best hazelnut latte I ever had. I was also lacking coffee for 7 days! Praline had found this great article on WDW coffee (you have to read it backwards and start at the bottom of the page as it's in a blog)

A friend of mine sold Creative Memories and got me to purchase a book and some accessories. I made a few pages then lost interest. I recently discovered making photo books on Snapfish. Oprah had a give away for a $30 hard cover book, it came out really nice and only cost me $6 for shipping. DH was really impressed. I'm making one now for our Nov trip. I also made a pocket 4x7 book for $11 with our photo shoot photos. I'm hooked. It's easy and quick and looks so professional.
