Hi all

Well I was happy as a clam walking through target when my DS told me he didnt feel good and he had to go to the bathroom....We just made it! He threw up and threw up! Not good! Thank God he didnt make a mess though...On the way home we just ran into the Mom and Pop market to get 2 things that I was in need of and he lost it all there, too! We came right home and he is not doing good....Ugghhh! I am telling ya, it is always something!

Well I hope you all have a better day than me!

Deb After all of that holiday baking you wwre baking today...:worship: what a good mom...I'll be picking up cookies at the store....

Mare I think you might be right about when the emh are going to be released...makes sense...I have my list ready too...although I keep revising it according to dining reports that I keep reading:rotfl: have to stop reading those...

I keep checking all of the airlines...we will fly with who ever has the best fare...although I agree Jet Blue is very nice even my big kids like the tvs...SW has the best policies though in reguards to changing things...

Deb: I noticed you stayed at the Country Inn and Suites, I'm considering them for a stay in Lancaster this Sept. There's going to be a "Day out with Thomas" event at the Strasburg Rail Road there. We went two years ago and it was cute. We stayed at a very nice Best Western, but it wasn't on the main strip. They have a Country Inn and Suites right on the strip, what did you think of it?

I hate going somewhere where there's only budget chain motels. You never know what you're going to get.

Mare: DF and I stayed in one of these for the first time over Christmas. It was okay. We stay in this type of hotel alot for his work stuff. It was cleaner than average for this range of hotel (though that will vary from property to property, of course), I would say, the room was decent size, and the bedding was alright. The breakfast was nothing special. We had a handicapped room, though, and I HATE them  . I hate the showers in them and the utter lack of counter space. I guess if I needed one it would be fine, but I don't. Also, we weren't told it was HA beforehand, which was odd. :confused3 :headache:

The staff was nice enough. Our biggest issue was noise. :scared1: The temp. was controlled by a wall unit. Whenever the blower started, it sounded like a jet taking off and we didn't sleep well (we never do our first night away from home, though). :guilty:

So I guess it depends what you are used to. It was alright for us for what we were doing and would stay again. If we always did higher end stuff like we do at WDW though it wouldn't have been okay, if that makes sense.

For our business stuff we usually do Best Western, Red Roof :scared: , comfort Suites, fairfield, etc. The higher end for us for business is Holiday in/ weston/sheraton (W/S is by far MY preference :rotfl: , DF would sleep in the car if I let him :confused3 ), if that gives you a frame of reference :)

HTH :goodvibes

Mare......We like Country Inn & Suites or Fairfield Inn as far as the bigger chains with not outrageous prices just because those are the ones we're familiar with :goodvibes. I totally agree on the budget chains........not knowing what you're going to get does NOT sit well with me :headache:. I also look into Hyatt or Westins depending on where we're going because sometimes they have decent prices . You could probably call both DH and I "hotel snobs" because we will NOT stay someplace we're not familiar with, let alone a "budget" :rolleyes1. Not to sound uppity, but I have to know I'm getting a nice place, no matter the cost . We have never had any bad experiences with any Country Inn & Suites we've stayed at. Of course like Amy mentioned.....things vary from property to property.....but Country Inn & Suites is the first hotel I look up if we go away for a weekend or something........and then I compare what else is around from that ;). When we stayed at the one in Orlando on our first trip to Disney, that one was only 3 years old so I KNEW it was going to be nice since it was so new. I think some of them have more for breakfast than just donuts, cold cereal, and things like that.......but I think it just depends on the property :confused3. HTH :).

Siobhan.....I'm sorry about your little guy . I hope he feels better soon :flower3:.

BlueSkies.......Yes....can you believe it.......I'm baking again . I bought 14 rolls of that Pillsbury peanut butter cookie dough to make those peanut butter blossoms for Christmas and I didn't use them all for the holidays so DS has been on me to make some more :sad2:. I was supposed to make them yesterday but at first I forgot :rolleyes1.....and then by the time he asked me to bake them it was 7:00 last night and I was NOT in the mood to bake :rotfl: :rotfl:. So I figured I needed to do them this afternoon before he gets home from school .
