I cant even contain myself!!!! Thank you room peeps for making a room come open! I am going to pass out! It is SL but GF nonetheless! Yippie!!!

Maxie Packing by flashlight!! Thats what I call determination As for a power outage...when youre trying to pack I'd have lots of mismatched stuff in my suitcase....

I did have a couple of other little GF updates...the second floor railing that was changed a few months back is back to the lovely railing again...thank goodness...

The nice GF plates that they were selling in Sandy Cove are no longer available-discontinued...they still have the mugs though....

And there is a beautiful GF Christmas ball out...not just the usual one this is a big round ball...very nice I think it was $35....(should I mention that I needed one!!! )

Also there was a bounce back offer in the room part of the offer was 30% off select deluxes...not sure what that included..what it didnt include was the summer dates that we are planning to go (your dates either Chan and Deb) (I think the 4/3 is a better offer anyway )...Feb trip gals I think your dates were included in that....

Well I'm off to try and finish the Christmas cards...

Hey Blues, I just pulled out that discount card that has the dates on it. You are right, the bonus days are better. This is what the card in the room says:

Chan and Deb...Ya Blago's hair is a real doozy...what a piece of lying sack of sh**..I feel scummy just talking about him...and his wife is right there with him

One of the HS in our district (not DS's) was on lockdown for the whole morning...A guy was in the bathroom with a gun...cops and swat team came into each room with weapons drawn...SCARY TIMES...no one hurt thankfully

Robin, have a great time!!! We have stayed at teh Poly a few times and it is OK....(and that is a stretch from me ) but the GF is MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better. GF is wonderful.

Thanks Channing! DH thinks Poly is just "eh". He didn't want to stay there again and insisted on the GF. He didn't have to twist my arm. I had a lot of misconceptions about the GF until I started reading this thread and the FAQ. Now I think of it as very family oriented! I honestly can't wait!!

Deb, I think we're going to have a new favorite place to stay after our trips!!! I hope the MK view is worth it. I wanted to go concierge but DH wanted TPV. I wasn't going to argue- I just wanted to go to Disney!!!

Thanks again for all of your great tips! I'll let you know how the trip went!

Robin.......I was the same as you.....I had alot of misconceptions as well about the GF and then I started to read the FAQ thread and my thoughts quickly changed . And then when I found this chat thread....that was it . Now I am more excited than ever to stay there . I think you will enjoy your MK view . We booked GV for our June trip but I'm seriously considering RPC for our December '09 trip . That's something I have to give some thought to as 3 or 4 nights would be during holiday pricing .....so we'll see . You are going to have a great trip . Enjoy the GF and all the beautiful decorations .

DF got me a kit because I mentioned I would like to make one. OMG it is horriffic! It's a little skewed and the icing is all globby and yucko looking! He was howling with laughter while he was watching me do it, and the dog was trying to "help"...it was just an all around fiasco...really fun to do but the end result is soooo bad I am embarassed to have it in my house! I was going to try to "improve" it this evening while watching Top Chef!

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. The power stayed on. Just trying to finish up some last minute stuff and then off to bed. Have to get up at 5 tomorrow to head to the airport. I'll try to check in, I think DS is taking his laptop.

Robin: Enjoy your stay at the Grand. I know you will love it, but be warned it is hard to stay anywhere else after you have stayed at the GF.

I was up at 5:45 today! I am just too excited to sleep! I am super excited to be out of BWI....I would have made the best of it but ahhh the Grand! When my DH called on his way home from work it was so funny! I was so excited and I didnt even have to say why!!! He said, "Let me guess, we are now at the GF!"

Now I dont have to worry about the small stuff! Someone will greet me off the bus, there is a kids area in the lounge, and my favorite green H20 products!!!

Did I mention how excited I am??? Sorry but before I was blah about the trip but now I am counting the hours!!!! 48 hours and I will be on a plane....

Oh and by the by...I am sick,again! But I dont care!!!!!!!!!

Morning

Ugh the weather is nasty here.....rainy and we have about 20 MPH winds and we are under a tornado watch till noon. I am not sure if I am sending my kids to school under these conditions. When I was a kid I sat in the hallways as tornado warnings went off and I just don't know if I want my kids to go through that and be away from me. I remember being scared and wanting my mom or dad and wondering why I had to be away from them in bad weather.

Maxie~ Have a great trip!!!!! I cant wait to hear about the Gaylord! I have stayed at the one in Nashville twice and the one in Texas. I the Nashville one, that is where I stay when I have gone there to work. I have never stayed at the Orlando one but have been several times to visit and I just LOVE the atrium's! My kids can spend hours exploring!

Channing: Thanks for asking! 6 weeks today (and 40 days to Disney )! Everything is going well now, LOL if you KWIM. It's been smooth sailing since early December. I am waiting for my final bill and I am sure I will pass out when I see it ...I had my last dress fitting a week ago and get to pick it up soon. They had to sew in a second set of bra cups...one just didn't do it

I am so relieved you got out of the BWI!!! You will have a perfect vacation at the GF! I missed the green H20 products too! I had to stop by the GF and buy DH a bottle of the shampoo! Didn't quite care for the blue products. I really love the GF shea butter!! I have a HUGE stash in my closet!

Oh, you made me laugh! My dress too!! I needed extra cups to balance off the dress. The bottom of the dress was huge and my top was too small I just couldn't believe they charged $10 per cup!!

I'm getting really annoyed they haven't released the EMH for June yet!! Everyday I check and NOTHING! Jet Blue still hasn't opened up selling seats of June either! WTH????

Off to wrap presents. I picked up some cute Disney wrapping paper on sale at the Disney Store yesterday. $2.99 a roll!

Definitely take Airborne and keep taking it for a few days every 4 hours or so! I got cocky and stopped taking it after 2 days and I think with the record lows last week it allowed me to catch another cold virus!

Mare, it was $10 a cup for me to, so $40 . I guess it's a better price than plastic surgery ...then my mother told the sales lady, "that's fine, but what is she (meaning me) going to put in them?"

ETA: when the lady told me the price she was like "and the best part is you can reuse them". Oh yeah, great. I'm going to take them out of me wedding dress and sew them into my other clothes every morning. Yeah right!
