Siobhan So jealous of your Tahoe, we want a suburban or yukon, we like Chevy product for trucks and SUV's! :thumbsup2

We need a bigger car...... shoot we need bigger everything car, house, refrigerator, those big front loading washers ...... are you seeing a trend? LOL! We have a mini van but it is a short wheeled base ..... so dumb, not picking a bigger van will always be the dumbest thing I every did! :confused3

OK, I gotta run! Have a great day!

Morning Gals :)

Just got back from taking DS to school and I have my coffee so I'm good to go :surfweb:.

Siobhan........Great choice on the Tahoe :thumbsup2. I have a Yukon and I LOVE it :goodvibes (we are GMC people ). Of course you're right about it being a gas hog.....but I am a truck gal and I just love my SUV.....wouldn't give it up for anything :upsidedow.

Vanessa & Mandy......I agree with you gals......Obama has a tough road ahead of him . I was just telling DH last week that whoever got elected has his work cut out for him because fixing the mess this country is in isn't going to be easy :sad2:.

Beautiful day again today :sunny:. Although not looking forward for the COLD to kick in for the weekend :headache:.

Deb :flower3:

Like Mandy, I Obama was not my pick but not only do I pray for him with this mess, I pray for his safety! There are a lot of wackos in the world and I just hope they have double the secret service on him!

I am bummed that I wasnt able to get my free Starbucks...any one get one? :goodvibes

Ahhh...a well deserved day for me! Both of my children go to school all day today and I cant wait! :goodvibes I just have 1 nail client then I am off to do what I want to do! It was a tough day yesterday!!! My voice was killing me!! :rotfl: I must have said my kids names at least a 1000 times yesterday! So glad it is Wednesday!! :goodvibes

No title yesterday so hopefully today! Oh yeah, we got a Tahoe! Gas lovin' SUV that it is! But it has nice heated leather seats and a DVD player for the kids and a third row! I need all that! :goodvibes It is just sitting in my driveway waiting for me to come and drive it! LOL:rolleyes1[/QUOTE]

I had a Tahoe...it was my fav car I ever had....it too was loaded...drove too much and the gas was killin me! I still wish i had it though

make sure this is around it
this at the end

V~ you gotta click on the little yellow box that has like the mountain in it and then paste your turkey code into that box and then it should work!

I was just thinking the same thing !!

Well...I hadn't realized it....but NOW I AM STOKED!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Besides being a smart guy, I think Obama has morals, character and integrity. I was all about Hillary at first...and I still like HER...but I think Barack Obama is going to be awesome for this country. :thumbsup2 I love how around the world they are thrilled with the choice, too. That is big.

WTG on the new car Siobhan! I love getting a new car! So clean and fresh & fun.:goodvibes

I am VERY happy Barack Obama won.....did I mention that yet?? I can't wait to watch The View......:rotfl: :rotfl:

Elsabeth is going to be pouty...... :rotfl:

His speech made me cry, talking about the 106 year old that voted and all she went through...... getting chills again! :goodvibes

I can't believe I missed the speech! I'm sure I will find it on the internet somewhere! I went to bed at 7 with a monster headache so it was on WAY after I was asleep I'm sure.

Cool new car Sibohan!

Thanks for the turkey instructions everyone! I couldn't get it to work before!

Have a great day everyone!

Well, I cried too, but for a whole different reason!!! :rotfl:

A president Hillary I could have lived with, but this is a VERY bitter pill to swallow for me :sad2:

That being said, I am overjoyed with the voter turnout this year!!! There was a lot of hype about HUGE new voter registrations in 2004, but the numbers on election day never matched up with the hype. This year, both candidates had a great turnout from their respective bases. In that sense it is a great day for Americans- enjoying one of this country's great freedoms that is so often taken for granted...

So ends my political speech since I have been so opposed to discussing it in public throughout the course of the campaign. It is VERY hard being a red girl living in a blue state...

I leave 1 month from today and I am starting to panic about everything I want to get done first! And I need to head out and find a new fake Christmas tree today since half off the lights on our famiy room tree blew up right after Christmas last year :sad2: I may be done by pre-lit trees if they are only going to last 3-4 years

I have DS's parent/teaher conference tonight, so that should be interesting :teacher: He is also off for the rest of the week, and those 4 day weekends can be a killer sometimes! ;) We have his end of season soccer party on Saturday (Can you believe I didn't bake???? I ordered from the bakery-shh!! don't tell Martha on me!) We are also going to see Madagascar 2 after the party (can I say that on a Disney chat board :rotfl2: )

Anyway, I need to workout and shower and then head off to see what is new in the world of fake Christmas trees! :santa:

TTYL!

PS: Kel, did you get my email?? Book that sucker for June- I need the pick me up today! :upsidedow

Hey K I got your email and I working now and will email you soon.

I feel so great today, full of hope!! I am so tired though I didnt go to bed til after 1am.

Just checking in before heading out to run some errands :).

Kristin ~ Only a month to go......WOO HOO :woohoo: :woohoo:.....you'll be there before you know it :santa:. I'm behind the times and may be one of the only ones who doesn't have a pre-lit tree :rotfl:. I've thought about getting one but now after hearing they only last 3-4 years.......I might rethink that . I've often wondered how those held up and what you do if some of the lights burn out :confused3. Good luck with DS's conference :teacher:.

I see you're already planning your next trip :yay:......how exciting  . June must be a popular month next year as BlueSkies was looking into June as well :). That was our original plan to go over our anniversary until DH's nephew decided to plan his wedding right when we were thinking of going :headache:. Oh well......July is good too......plus it saves some money since we're going during value season instead of regular ;).

Have fun Christmas tree shopping :goodvibes. Enjoy this great weather we're having :sunny:.

Hi to everyone else . TTYL :upsidedow.

Deb :)

I CAN"T WAIT TO SEE ELIZABETH EAT CROW!!!!! Yesterday she was mouthing off about how it's going to be closer than we think!!!!:sad2: :rotfl: popcorn:: WRONG! She's gonna be a crank. Oooh...it's up next!!!!:cool1: :rotfl:

I LOVED Obama's speech. Amy, I am sure you can find it on youtube. I definitely wanted anybody over McCain...but B Obama really has impressed me with how he's handled himself through this whole thing. He has grace and class IMO. And a nice even temperament. I think he will unify the country. I am proud of America.:thumbsup2

Deb...LOL...I am way behind the times.....we do REAL trees.:rotfl: We used to go chop them down...now we go to the garden store...but still.

Kristin!! Whoohooo one month!!! You're gonna be busy now....times going to fly by fast. How exciting.:goodvibes

TTYL...off to watch the fighting on The View.:thumbsup2

Chan:)

That Democratic soap sure came in handy...........

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl:

Wow! What a historic night! My pick did not win, but I know how much this means to so many and it is great that this election had no issues like years past (esp in FL ;) ) I am glad to be able to move on and know that we are done for 4 years! Now it's time to start praying for Barack Obama as he prepares to take office as the 44th president and try and fix the mess America is in!

I am in total agreement with you Mandy!

Like Mandy, I Obama was not my pick but not only do I pray for him with this mess, I pray for his safety! There are a lot of wackos in the world and I just hope they have double the secret service on him!

We are getting a new SUV in the next year and Tahoe is one we really like! Also the Acadia (GMC) and Saturn Outlook! Let me know how you like the Tahoe!
I didn't have time to get a Starbucks yesterday after I waited an hour and a half to vote... had to get the kids places instead!!

I know Kristin - I was bummed too, although I'm in a red state.

I'm praying that he'll make the right decisions for our country- he seems like a decent guy.

Thank goodness the election is over and we can move Forward!! And I'm so happy that voter turnout was so great, like others have said!

Glad you're booking that June trip!!

And since I need a little pick -me-up , Let me just say this:

I only have 26 days to go!!

K~ I was bummed and even cried when McCain gave his concession speech..... he was VERY gracious...... I felt for him when he said he had failed not his supporters.

I will tell ya, now it is time for Obama to live up to the big expectations this country is putting in him. January is gonna come at him fast and the worlds eyes are gonna be fixed on us fro a while. All Americans should support the president no matter red or blue as a example of the strength of democracy to the country's we are trying to bring freedom too. I personally believe that we should support any president in prayer also, because no matter who the people choose I believe the God this country was founded on can still do great and mighty things through anyone and this result is by design....... I just pray that the things this country was founded on will NEVER be forgotten by ANY president!

He WAS very gracious....unfortunately a day late, dollar short. And that's all I will say...because I could keep going but it might get ugly.:rotfl:

I agree....I think he is will come thru. :thumbsup2 He has honor and integrity and he didn't dump those characteristics during this nasty race.

Barbara must have slipped Elizabeth a Xanax in her cappuccino. She hasn't been this calm in a LOOOOOONG time.

OK, I bought a tree!!!!!!!!!!! :santa: It is taking every ounce of willpower in me not to put it up RIGHT NOW!! :rotfl: (Maybe since it is 74 degrees instead of 40 degrees that is dampening my spirit! ;) )

Anyway, it is a 9 foot tree (a full 1.5 taller than our old one- yes, when it comes to trees, SIZE MATTERS!!! :thumbsup2 ) I decided not to get a prelit one though. If the lights burned out in 3 years like the last one, DH would resort to putting up a Festivus Pole (Seinfeld reference) instead of a tree!! This one comes in 3 parts (like the prelit do) instead of the branch by branch assembly (which I HATED!!!) So I bought 1200 clear lights to go on it and if they burn out, off they come and new one comes on- good as new!!

The main reason we don't get a real tree is because we like to have the house decorated for at least 6 weeks at Christmas (week or so before Thanksgiving until New years day). The poor thing would be dry as a bone by Christmas if we did. Plus, we are done for 10 days early in December and it would dry out completely by the time we got back :sad2: (And let's face it, I don't want to deal with the mess of the needles either :rolleyes1 )

Later Taters!

Kristin! You lucky girl getting such a huge tree! We use to have a huge tree because our first place had very high ceilings but we got rid of it when we moved in here with much lower ceilings :sad1:

I am dying to know what your DS had to say about Opera? I love to hear kids reactions to it! My son says they are just screaming! :rotfl:

This is a video I had to watch at the beginning of every year in my studio class with my voice teacher. It is pretty funny and I thought about it yesterday when you mentioned opera day!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vNReqUGtsc

He thought the opera was "really neat" He said there were people "singing about space" and they "had lightsabers" ( a little Star Wars on the brain, perhaps? :darth:) It was in the gym, on the bleachers and he said it was "65 minutes" (our little Big Ben!)

As for my tall tree- my main floor ceilings are 9 feet, so the tree might need a slight "haircut" to make it fit, if necessary ;)

Siobhan and Mandy- You two are so amazing..in a wonderful way! (Both of you are better people than I am.)

Thanks Sheli! You are pretty awesome yourself!

Siobhan So jealous of your Tahoe, we want a suburban or yukon, we like Chevy product for trucks and SUV's! :thumbsup2

I am excited about it but I just wish I could actually drive the sucker! :rotfl:

Well, I cried too, but for a whole different reason!!! :rotfl:

LMAO!!! :rotfl:

Nice tree! Every year we get a real one and I say...Lets get a small one but it ends up being the Griswald family Christmas tree! Seriously, last year I thought the branches were going to go through my windows!:rotfl: I am cracking myself up thinking about it! :lmao: This year I think I have to do a fake one because if I go in Dec then no one will be here to water it!

DD came home sick from school! :confused3 Headache, low grade fever and the dreaded....STOMACHACHE!!! :scared1: Let hope for no throughups!

TTYL!!!

Afternoon chatty gals :chat:.

Deb...LOL...I am way behind the times.....we do REAL trees.:rotfl: We used to go chop them down...now we go to the garden store...but still.
Chan:)

I'm too afraid to get a real tree because I probably wouldn't remember to keep it watered enough and it would catch on fire or something :scared1:. Plus like Kristin mentioned....all the mess with the needles . But I think real trees are very pretty......and if I wasn't such a chicken I'd get one :rotfl: :rotfl:.

I hope you don't mind me giving my 2 cents ......but you will LOVE the Tahoe :goodvibes. I love my Yukon......although it's a GMC they're pretty much the same truck....but very roomy and extra seating with that third row seat......plus the butt warmers (as I call them) are GREAT ;). I think you would be very happy with one :goodvibes. The Acadia's are nice, too :thumbsup2.

Thank goodness the election is over and we can move Forward!! And I'm so happy that voter turnout was so great, like others have said!

I agree :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2.

But this weather is great, isn't it???? I just love that it's November and it feels like spring :thumbsup2.
