Deb :)

Good Morning Gals!

Looks like I am the early bird today...

Is everyone else off voting already...

Dawn I didnt know you cancelled your Thanksgiving trip..I must have missed that post ...sorry to hear that:sad2: ...DH wont go in the summer again so I'm thinking June next year...I wish I could join you girls for breakfast but being in NY would make that a little hard to do:laughing: ...BTW didnt get to really enjoy DWTS last night because DH was his usual channel changing self...and I kept missing stuff!!

Traci Although I really enjoy cooking and a little baking too I like to keep things simple..if I have to buy a spice that I've never heard of or anything like that for a recipe its not for me...Good luck with your Thanksgiving cooking!

I think in December I'm going to make reservations at Citricos for dinner and I was thinking maybe one dinner at DTD..any ideas...havent been there in a while...

Deb I think the smilies are rearranged again!!!

Off to get some things done around here..TTYL:flower3:

Good Morning!

Kids have no school today....I have to take them with me to vote!
Anyone else have no school?

I hope the title comes to my new car today...Wish me :wizard: !

ttyl

Kelly I cant believe you have been out to vote already!!! I'm still in my PJs...

Dont you just hate it when the kids have no school in the middle of the week:rotfl: At least make it on a Monday or a Friday...of course this being election day Tuesday it is...

Tete Hope you get your title today...a new car how nice...what kind of car did you get?

Since I'm going to start working on our (hopefully) June trip next year anyone have any ideas...how is the weather...what about the crowds(I'm thinking middle of the month) for such a very long time we always took fall or winter trips that I've forgotten alot about the other months....

Morning Gals :coffee:

Kelly ~ Up and out and already voted.......you've really got the energy . I'm like BlueSkies....still in my pjs with my first cup of coffee :surfweb:. Voting is the only thing on my agenda today as far as going out......other than that I'll be home chatting with you gals and doing :laundy:......or just chatting :rotfl: :rotfl:.

BlueSKies ~ We've always taken our trips in the fall/winter as well the last 4 or 5 years so it will be a change for us when we go in July since we haven't been in the summer time since 2002 . Even though July is very hot and humid I'm kind of looking forward to it because it will be our first stay at the GF and we are planning on spending ALOT of time at the resort swimming ;). And I can't forget the 1 or 2 days we'll rent a cabana :cloud9:. Plus with both DSs in high school next year, we're looking at taking our trips in the summer for the next couple years.....so I guess I need to get used to it :rotfl:. You'll have a great time in June....even if it is a little crowded :goodvibes.

Siobhan ~ How exciting to get the title to your new car :yay:.

Hi to the rest of you gals :wave2: (Traci, Kristin, Dawn, Sheli, Amy, Chan, Mandy.....and anyone else I'm forgetting :rolleyes1).

Deb :)

Deb I have almost the same agenda today... going to vote ,:laundy: and some grocery shopping too...and of course talking to you girls:)

When in July are you planning your trip?? the really nice thing about those summer months is the great park hours...not to mention it being cabana weather...you're gonna love them....:lovestruc thats for sure...you're gonna love the GF too...

What I'm not so sure about in June is when the park hours get longer...and I think the croweds dont start to pick up until late in the month...not sure...hope someone else can fill me in...

Hey Everyone!!

Sorry I've been MIA for awhile!! Traci great pictures and welcome back!!! I haven't caught up on all the posts. Still waiting for my DH to sit down and figure out when we can go to WDW!!! First it was early August and now we are back to July!!! I am glad he's busy at work, but this is not fun at all!!! This is the longest I've waited to book my next trip!!!

Hi Annette! Glad to see you back:) I've been working on the same thing...I love having a trip planned...just cant help it...;) After our last trip DH says no more August..I just think it was a particularly stormy year:rotfl: Probably next year will be much better...at least I hope so for everyone planning trips for then...I'm thinking June...:confused3 Hope you can book your trip soon too...:flower3: Thanks for the Gobbler..not sure how to get it to show up in my signature...so technically challanged here...

Good Morning Everyone!

Well, the line to vote was wrapped around the building this morning after I dropped the kids off at school! So I'm going to check again around 10:30 before the lunch crowd gets there. Then try again at 2 or so after lunch if the 10:30 attempt doesn't work. I'm getting in there to vote sometime today, that's for sure!

Siobhan - so exciting about your new car! What did you end up getting?

Annette - I'm a computer dork and I put the wrong turkey in! I need to go back in and change it!

I've got to go clean my refrigerator. You know to impress all my family when they come for Thanksgiving! :rolleyes1

Good Morning all!!! :goodvibes

I just put DS on the bus dressed in his Sunday best. Today is "Day at the Opera" in music class so EVERYONE had to dress up. He looked so handsome!!!!!!

I need to shower and head out to vote before meeting a friend for lunch. I am going back to the same place Chan and I had breakfast at yesterday! :rotfl: Think we can keep it to uder 3 hours? ;)

I know I have missed a lot, and I didn't even think to hit multi quote when I was reading :flower3: SO here is what I remember

Traci- Welcome home!!! It sounds like you had a wonderful time!!! I can't wait to hear details!!! (I think I am the closest now that Dawn cancelled her trip :sad1: We are at 31 Days!! )

Re: Thanksgiving- we used to travel to both sides of the family on turkey day and Easter. We saw my IL's first and my family second. DS was always such an overtired monster by the time we got to my family's that I finally called it quits 3 years ago :sad2: It wasn't fair to him to make him spend so much time in the car and we were always rushing around. Now we see one family on Easter (the other the day before) and one on Thanksgiving (the other usually the day after) They alternate years as to who gets what holiday. This year it was my family for Easter (but DS got sick so we saw NO ONE!) and his family for Thanksgving. Next year it will be the reverse. It works quite well. Christmas is a lot easier. We see his family on Christmas Eve and mine Christmas Day (in the afternoon only- we do Santa presents etc. just the 3 of us :santa: )

Dawn- Anytime, anyplace for breakfast (or cocktails ;) ) my friend!!

Annette- - don't be a stranger!! :goodvibes

Hi to everyone else!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember, no matter which candidate you support, please do your civic duty and head to your local polling place today and cast your vote!! :thumbsup2 Like, Kel, I intend on being up late today glued to the news... has been a tradition for me since the 1992 election.

Later Taters!
Kristin

Hi! :)

My kids have off.:upsidedow Well my DDs do...DS has school. I was up early and watching the news and then passed out...:rotfl: I am on my 2nd cup of coffee now.:thumbsup2

We might go see HSM3 today depending if Jo would prefer to have a friend over or not.

Traci, you have to post more pics!:) I still have a bunch to post actually.....maybe I will later today.

Dawn...let us know when you can go. We are game.:goodvibes With you there we'd probably even be there for more than 3 hours.:rotfl:

Blue Skies....For some reason I thought you were in IL, too.:rolleyes1

Thanks for the cute turkeys!

Chan

Princesses Hope when I go to vote the lines arent too long...the good thing is that means lots of folks are voting...hope there are no lines for you later...

Kristin How adorable Day at the Opera...its great to give kids the exposure to different music so young...so they'll learn to appreciate it all...hope you took his picture...I often look at the pics of the kids growing up...great memories:) (of course alot of them happen to be at Disney:rotfl: ) enjoy your lunch...

OK I definitely have to go get some stuff done....:rotfl:

TTYL...

We are booked for 7/17-7/24......although I'm always trying to find ways to add a day or two :rotfl:. Even with the heat and humidity.....the longer park hours kinda make it worth it ;). I'm just so excited about staying at the GF :wizard:.

I bet your little guy looked so cute going to school this morning.....how fun :).

Traci- Welcome home!!! It sounds like you had a wonderful time!!! I can't wait to hear details!!! (I think I am the closest now that Dawn cancelled her trip :sad1: We are at 31 Days!! )

31 days is not a long time.......the days will fly by :cool1: :cool1:. You will be at the GF before you know it :thumbsup2.

We do the same for Christmas......DH's family Christmas Eve and mine Christmas Day :santa:. But Thanksgiving we do both on that day......but both sets of parents live close so not really much traveling :rolleyes1.

Deb

Good morning ladies!

Kelly, where do you get all of your energy? I feel like I have to force myself to do ANYTHING most of the time!

I vote where I work, so that is done. There are lots of people voting here, and we are a very small precinct, so that is great!

Kristin, 31 days! you must be getting excited!

Anyone flying on SW check your fares! Mine just went down $20 for our departing flight so now we have a SW credit and APs for WDW... I wonder what we can do with those things...

Have a great day everyone!

Your lucky..... we have to do Thanksgiving and Christmas at BOTH family's on the same day! I actually hate all the running around and being told "well you spent this many hours there but you only spend so many hours here" Wah wah! I HATE it! We are right now in the process of trying to plan from both days and my in laws are being jerks and of course my grandmother will not budge because "it's tradition". It's like both side are mad at us because we won't dedicate to them only.

I could go on and on but i wont......

:headache:

We have been doing Christmas morning with my family and Christmas Dinner with my wife's family. I hate the back and forth. I've said it before and will say it again..the best Christmas we had was when one of our kids were born and we got to stay home with NO visiters.

That was one of the reasons for our Disney/Universal Christmas trip this year...by the way did i mention we told the inlaws. Never in a million years did i expect the response we got.

I also finally ordered the neverland tree for our room. I didnt know if i should get that one or the 'year of a million dreams' tree but the choice was taken from me....only the neverland tree was left.

Mandy I am sorry you are dealing with the pulled from both sides holiday junk! I decided about 5 years ago that I am no longer dragging my children all over the planet on a holiday that (IMHO) is meant for kids. It took 2 years before anyone got over it. But it was so worth it!

You sound like a very smart woman!!

Good Morning Gals!

I wish I could join you girls for breakfast but being in NY would make that a little hard to do:laughing:

Finally another New Yorker!! I know there is someone else besides me on this chat but its good to add to our ranks!! 8 million people in the city..i knew there had to be more of us here.

Deb I have almost the same agenda today... going to vote

Where in NY are you. I'm curious about your voting experience. Im in the city and never once have I ever experienced any kind of wait or line like I see on TV. I always wondered if that was just where i am :confused3

I voted this morning at 7am and had only one person in front of me.

HI all! :goodvibes

I voted early today too! :woohoo: I dropped DS off and ran back by to see what the line was like at our precinct an there were hardly any cars there. I ran back home and got my self and dd's dressed in our red, white, and blue and off to vote we went! I walk right in and was able to vote RIGHT away! For the primary's, I had to wait for about 45 min then they ran out of ballots 2 people in front of me so that was a mess waiting from more ballots to be brought from the election office.

Anyways, I enjoyed telling my girls what mommy was about to do and how I cared about their future so much that I had to go let my voice be heard! I felt so proud that as a woman I had the right to go vote and wanted my daughters to see from a young age how important it is to take part in elections. We are blessed to live in such a great country, no matter how screwed up it may seem right now! I feel Lee Greenwoods "Proud to be and American" coming on!

Oh, DS is the class president! Wooo Hooo! He has to help other students resolve conflicts and he has a desk that he can go sit at and he also gets to help tutor lower students..... how a 6 yo is gonna do that I don't know :confused3 but his teacher is great and i trust her! I am so proud of how he is doing, the transition from home school to public school was rough but he is loving it!

Kristin how cute about your DS, sounds very fancy nancy but for a boy! Operas are so juicy and good and full of affairs, lies, murders, and jealousy, just musical soap operas! :rotfl: I went to a arts school in HS and it was opera day every day! LOL!

Have a good day gals and M&P!
