Just had to pop in and say...um...er...I mean ...scream ONLY 2 MORE DAYS AND WE'LL BE BOARDING A PLANE TO DISNEY WORLD! :hippie: :cool1: :thumbsup2 :dance3: :yay: :cheer2:

Now, if I can only get through the flight (I hate to fly)....

You will be fine :)......just keep thinking "GRAND FLORIDIAN" :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2. I'm so excited for you   .

OK, my inner teenager came out today! :rotfl2:

I went to Abercrombie and Fitch's website to browse the sales and ended up doing some early Christmas shopping for DH! He loves their stuff (shh!! I do too!!) I also ordered a couple of sale sweaters and a new hoodie for my birthday. I just emailed DH and told him he has great taste! All he wanted to know was whether or not he had to wrap them! :rotfl:

Chan- I am so, so sorry about the camera. I thought ours broke at CP right after we arrived once (DH dropped it the day before), but it turned out to be the batteries. But if the zoom was messed up, this is a GREAT excuse to buy a new one!! :thumbsup2

Since I am the queen of banning, can we not talk about Pop Tarts anymore?? :rotfl: (J/K!!!) I am off carbs again until the trip so I can squeeze myself back into my shorts and dresses!!! I have such a weakness for brown sugar Pop Tarts!!

Dawn! Check your PM! SW has slightly lower fares again for November but I am not sure about your dates

Tonight is the last night for soccer (Hooray!! ) But it is about 45 degrees, windy and cloudy :sad2: I don't think I am getting out of the car! :rotfl:

TTFN!

K~thanks for the tip...I will check when i get home tonight....crossing my fingers its lower...maybe a credit for the future????

TTFN!

Yes - please no pop tart talk!! I am sitting here eating my salad with skinless, tasteless chicken on it! Doing it for the same reason as you Kristin! That and so I can eat more good ,fattening WDW food!! Goofy's Make-your-own Rice Krispy Treat here I come!!:)

Kristin and Princesses At least you are dieting for a good reason...there are sooooo many great treats at WDW...have you ever made your own sundae at Gasparillas (soft serve icecream, hot fudge and caramel)...YUM!!

You gals are cracking me up with your no carbs and tasteless chicken salads :rotfl: :rotfl:. My trip isn't until July so I have time to eat all the good stuff before having to worry :lmao: :lmao:.

Chan ~ I hope you're having a great time at the GF :goodvibes. Hopefully you and the girls have had a fun-filled day with less crowds :wizard: :wizard:.

Kristin ~ I have actually started thinking about Christmas shopping even though I'm not ready for it :sad2:. I was just telling DH the other day that I really should start buying a little here and there before it REALLY creeps up on me :rolleyes1. Both DSs are pretty easy.....DS15 wants a guitar and that gets ordered online....and DS13 wants a laptop.....another online (or phone) order through Dell (most likely).....so other than anything else I find for them, they'll be done in a matter of minutes :thumbsup2. My problem ones are my parents and DH's parents.....never have a clue what to get any of them :headache:. But being Christmas is a mere 9 weeks away :scared1:.....I better get thinkin'.

BlueSkies ~ You got that right about the MANY good treats at Disney :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2. Disney is a GREAT place to eat :rotfl:.

Hope everyone is having a good night :).

Deb :cool2:

I was just saying to DH that I have a pretty good handle on my Christmas shopping already! :santa: I am limiting the kids this year...I think I say that every year though! :rotfl: 3 out of my 4 nieces/nephew are done and we do a $75 Yankee Swap in my family instead of buying gifts I already have that! Like I said, off to a nice start! I am just waiting for the new American Girl to open near us and then I can finish DD.

I am ready for bed! :rotfl: Sad..I know but it was a terrible cold and rainy day here and I think it has done me in! I am thankful that I don't have to take DD to school tomorrow morning! It is suppose to be 28 degrees! :faint: I am so not ready!

I have gotten a good start on the Christmas shopping too!! And I always tell the kids theres a limit:rotfl: We have yet to figure out what it is....:santa:

Deb You do have some time before your trip but remember you'll be at Disney during bathing suit weather... I dont know about you but that always strikes a little fear in my heart:scared1:

Tete I hate the cold weather...:scared:

Wheres Maxie we need to know how many more days until spring:flower3:

/
Siobhan ~ I tell DH every year that we are going to set a limit for DSs but it never happens......I keep finding things for them after I've supposedly finished shopping :rotfl: :rotfl:. Cold, rainy weather does me in all the time, too :sad2:. It was nice and sunny today but I think rain is headed our way tomorrow, Friday, AND Saturday :rolleyes1.

BlueSKies ~ Fear strikes me as well when summer starts approaching :lmao:. I do have some time, but spring will be here before I know it and I'll be doing a countdown to Disney and I won't be ready for bathing suit weather .

I have to run and get DS from his buddy's house and then it's back home and to bed :cloud9:. I'll catch you gals tomorrow :).

Deb :flower3:

I am going to unload so here goes...WHAT a TERRIBLE DAY!:sad2:

I have not seen our outdoor cat since Sunday night and she had babies under our fireplace area outside about 3 weeks ago. I went out to check on them this morning and the poor things were crying their little heads off so I put them in a box and tried to feed them. They just could not eat anything so I called our local animal shelter who told me to bring them in and they would try to feed them. I felt so bad leaving them there and told them if they survived I would take them back. My daughters do not know any of this yet. Our mommy kitty- Miley is still missing and I have grown quite fond of her.

So I get back and pick up the girls and my mother in law calls and states she put a nail through her foot and I needed to take her into the hospital because her doctor could not see her. 4 hours later we are finally home. She is fine but pretty sore.

THEN.....We have our first trampline/tumbling meet this weekend. Both my girls have been practicing and we drive 45 minutes one way 3 times a week for this stuff. Lily is only 4 and she is supposed to compete and has no idea what she is doing because no one has showed her. She has to do a 10 move pass on the trampline and has no idea. I was so upset. We have driven up there for 2 months and you are telling me no one has showed her what to do. The coach says that some 4 year olds progress faster than others. I DO NOT WANT her to progress...I want her to know what the hell she is doing (can I say that on here). This coach is a college kid who is 22 years old and in his second year. He basically spends all his time with the advanced kids and gives little or no time to the younger ones. You have just gotta know Lily but this little girls picks up on everything. She even knows how to start a tractor and put it in reverse. You tell her to do something and she will do it but you have to TELL HER FIRST. So I spend $200 a month in class/practices fees, $200 a year booster club fees, $70 meet fees and $500 for both the girls leotards and warm up and all you can do is tell me some progress more than others. WHAT CRAP. I am so frustrated. I hate when I get myself into something like this and then have to deal with people who only care about themselves and how it is going to benefit them. This coach knows the advanced kids will benefit his overall score and his reputation so that is all he cares about. Well ya know what...I care about my kids and how they do and if I am spending all this money you better act like you do too!

Anyone have there kids in a competetive gymnastics team or tumbling team and can you give me some words of advice here??

Sorry so long. I just had to vent. PMS must be setting in. Ron is still working and no one to talk to.

So anyway- how was everyone's day. Anyone hear from Channing. Sioban- where are you staying??

I heard from Chan! She is having fun! The GF has made our girl happy

Hi! I don't have time to catch up ....I need a shower desperately and I have to get ready for bed...Jojo has her pirate adventure tomorrow early...well early for us lazy boneses.

The GF is the best. The CMs are the best and we are having fun....who cares about my wonderful $500 camera lying smooshed and crushed?:rotfl:

I am homesick but I do love it here anyway. The crowds are still pretty big.....we didn't get to do a whole lot at the party. The lines were long for everything special. I don't think the ride lines were that long but we didn't ride anything except Small World to take a rest off our tired feet and HM for kicks.

We had a fun and nice day today....went to MK for a few hours....ate lunch at CP, OMG....this is the SECOND time we got PP fast passes and didn't use them.:rotfl: We are not doing much at the parks at all. I think my girls are burned out on the parks, really. They have pin traded and shopped and that stuff, but they have no interest in waiting in lines for ANYTHING.:rotfl:

We were in teh lounge enjoying some yummy appetizers when this really nice couple invited the girls and myself to join them on their Wishes cruise....their treat.:goodvibes SUPER SWEET. I swear the nicest people work and stay here. So I asked the kids and they said YES they'd love to....so we got ourselves "bundled" up and had a really nice time. And do you know who the boat driver was?? Chris from the cabanas.:goodvibes So it was a really good time. I brought some champagne out there and the man opened it...and it sprayed all over like crazy....totally embarrassing. :rotfl: But...that's how our trip has been going. Gotta laugh.:rotfl: :confused3 Or cry.:rotfl2: I had my cry over my camera.....It's done. I told Lucy I am not mad at HER...it was a team effort of carelessness and I am just sad that it happened. We have her camera so we are using that one at this point....but you know me...totally technically challenged and I KNEW how to use my camera!!!!! So it's just not comfortable using hers...but we are managing.

So, Jojo goes on her pirate thingy tomorrow...I will let ya all know how it goes.

Yay for Poptarts!! I like em cold...well not COLD...but not toasted.

TTFN! Which reminds me of Dawn.....Dawn I hope all is well and went well fro you today.

OH!! They have given us tons of shampoos etc...and some silly cute towel animals!!!!! :rotfl:

Talk to ya all later
Channing

Vanessa So sorry about your kitties, I hope momma kitty comes back soon...
None of my kids did gymnastics or tumbling, but what I do know is everyone should be coached equally...if the coach cant do it alone then they should provide an assistant...thats a lot of time and money spent not to feel satisfied...Hope you have a better day today:)

Channing How nice of that couple to invite you on their fireworks cruise...

Traci is the countdown down to 1 day!!! Dawn and Kristin are not far behind you:thumbsup2

Is anyone doing a photo session..I imagine with the holiday decorations up would be a great time..

Have to go get some stuff (:laundy: ) done..:rotfl:

TTYL

Morning Ladies :surfweb:.

Vanessa - Sorry to hear about the kitties......I hope they're ok and you can bring them home :flower3:. And I hope their momma comes back soon. I have boys so no gymnastics in this house......but I would be mad too . That coach should teach everyone equally and not just focus on the ones that are advanced....that's really crappy . That's alot of money to be spending to have someone tell you that some kids progress faster than others and don't teach the younger ones what to do :sad2:. I hope things get better and I'm sure Lily will do just great :thumbsup2.

Chan - I'm so glad you're having a great time at the GF....I knew things would change once you got over there :wizard:. How cool about the invite on the Wishes cruise :goodvibes. It's really not a bad thing that you haven't done alot in the parks :rolleyes1. We haven't been going to Disney as long as you and we're already to the point of spending more time hanging at the resort and shopping more than doing the parks . We do go to the parks.....but we ride what we like and are usually out of there after only about 2 hours.....then it's back to the resort or shopping . And with girls I can imagine how they probably like the SHOPPING maybe even more than rides :rotfl:.

BlueSkies - I would LOVE to do one of those photo sessions....especially around Christmas time :santa:. Wouldn't that be so cool???? I'm a picture freak and can't ever have enough pics :rotfl: :rotfl:. I was thinking of doing the photo session in July.....but now I'm wondering if I should wait until we go back in December and do it with all the decorations around :confused3??? What do you think?? OR.....I could do it BOTH times :lmao: :lmao: (JK ).....I think DH would have something to say about that.....I'm sure he'd say once is enough :rolleyes1. But we all know I overrule him :rotfl2:.

Traci - ONE MORE DAY.....WOO HOO :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:.

Gotta get scootin' to get DS to school. Catch ya all later.

Deb :)

Morning :surfweb:

V~ What a crappy day! So sorry about everything...... I have no clue about giving advice and all that (well I was a gymnast as a kid and did meets and stuff but I was 8 when i began), but I would defiantly say something to the coach..... I know my 4 yo would be clueless too, and that is what you are paying them for!

So sad about your cat, my BF Rhonda had a cat that had kitties and they slowly disappeared and one got run over by her hubby on accident. It was a mess! She finally had to get her DD a new puppy to help her get over her grief about the kittens. :guilty:

 Hope today is better!

Channing ~ Glad you guys are enjoying the GF! Hoping you have more fun today! :wizard:

HI everyone else! :flower3:

Good Morning!
Chan how wonderful that you got to go on the cruise!:goodvibes What you are experiencing with the girls is what I am fearing for my trip....I am afraid they are going to be disinterested in rides because we have been there, done that. It happened last trip and I will be more concerned this trip because it might there last time until next year this time! I am definitely do an adults only trip myself but they wont be going for a while. Like Christmas gifts, I say that all the time, too! But seriously, I want them to do it all this time because it might be a while before they get back! Another reason to not stay at Shades...enjoying the resort! :rotfl: Well, I have a reservation there and a room at the CR on hold. If I stay at CR then I have to chop a day off in the beginning?:confused3 And it is a stupid Garden Wing room. I know I asked yesterday but anyone stay in one? Will it be that bad? I like the rooms and the computer in them is nice and I keep telling myself it is no different than staying at an outside building at GF! Well walking distance I mean. But then I think if I have to walk then why aren't I just staying at Shades where I walk to get the monorail? I said it before but I think I have issues! Seriously....:headache: I said to DH last night...Just let me do a split and I will be worry free...He says he wont go. Normally, really, I would just do it and tell him after but he keeps reminding me of how last time I said no split stays but I keep telling him we did 3 different resorts (SoG, YC and Poly)~ I also think it is the fear of the unknown. I know what I like and I am afraid I am going to not like something because lets face it, I am not the person that says, "I am just happy to be at WDW". :rotfl: :rotfl: I love my WDW but I want to love my resort, too! Ughh!
Wow, thanks for letting me vent about something so trivial when other peeps like V are having real problems! Oh my! I am sorry about your kitty! What do you think happen? I am sure the kittens are in good hands! You did the right thing by taking them to the shelter. My DDs birthday party is at the local animal shelter this weekend! They are great! Competitive stuff stinks! My DD irish danced and competed in feises. She was 4 and 5. At that age, everyone got a medal. Do you think the same thing will happen with tumbling? She doesn't do it anymore...Mega Mega expensive now that she is older...She does a form of dance called Acro...Cirque du Soleil...Really cool stuff and no competitions!

Traci have a wonderful time! Safe travels!

well thanks again for listening! Siobhan :dance3:

Tete Before we became big GF fans all of our stays were at the CR and when my kids were little we would always book a room in the garden wing...very convenient to the pool and from most rooms not a long walk to the main building (I'll take a look at the map I have and let you know what rooms are close to the pool if you like)...the new rooms are beautifully decorated (with computers and free internet access!!) and they have movies on the beach in the evenings...as a matter of fact my sons are big CR fans...If I wasnt staying at the GF my next choice would be CR for sure...also I believe there is a major pool rehab going on soon...I guess you can tell I've been reading the CR FAQ thread too:rotfl: No matter what you're at Disney!! Enjoy;)

Hi Ladies, I'm back and I must say I had a GRAND time at the GF. However my biggest regret will remain that our trip was so short. You need alteast a week at WDW to be able to enjoy the parks and enjoy the resort.
Anyway, I can't wait to go back!

Channing: Glad things are looking up for you now that you have moved over to the GF! How wonderful about the cruise!

Traci: One more day!

Vanessa: I never did tumbling/dance/gymnastics (well, a couple of disasterous weeks of each, but we won't go there...) but I have been coaching horseback riding for nearly ten years. We have cut way back now, but there was a time when I would have 2-3 kids showing in the same class, ranging from beginner/intermediate to world level. I had to coach them ALL, not just my top kids! As I said, I know nothing about tumbling, but just using my own experience: before their first show, I would make it very clear to each child what they should expect, what they should do while in the ring, and how to handle common mishaps (ie dropping the crop, losing a stirrup, etc.). After the first show, we went over things on the child's level in the warm-up. A little refresher never hurt anyone! I always felt this was helpful to the child, as how will they know what to expect if not taught? And we even had an advantage: the announcer tells you which gait to perform and at what time! I would DEFINITELY talk to the coach and explain your concerns. His behavior is inexcusable, and he should be told so. He may be overwhelmed (coaching competative riding is A LOT of pressure, so he may feel the same) but he either needs to get over it or find another profession. JMTC!
Sorry about you kitties as well! I hope Miley turns up!

Yucky, cold rainy day here. I have papers to write and my first dress fitting today. Oh, and I might want to do some work hile I am here at work too, LOL...

Have a great day everyone!

Irisbud~ Your first dress fitting!! Your wedding will be here before you know it...:)

Firsttimer~ glad to hear you had a grand time...thats the thing about th GF once you go you cant wait to go back....:thumbsup2
