Firsttimer ~ Glad you had a great stay at the GF . We are staying at the GF for the first time in July and we can't wait . The gals here have given me LOTS of info and I get more excited every day .

Yucky, cold rainy day here. I have papers to write and my first dress fitting today. Oh, and I might want to do some work hile I am here at work too, LOL...

How fun about your dress fitting! So you still have the two piece or have you changed your mind?

I loved putting on my wedding dress, before and after we got married! LOL! One day my hubby came home and I was wearing my veil while I was studying for an anatomy test! I guess I am a little girl at heart and just love to feel like a princess!

My dress fit me like a glove, but it needed to be shortened big time (which meant the skirt had to be ripped off the bodice because of all the embroidery and bead work on the bottom) and I had a custom bustle that had 30 hooks to gather up my massive train! We didn't use the shops seamstress, we took it to a lady in Tampa and she did an awesome job but the alterations and bustle cost $600! That was 9 years ago! The bustle was amazing and she had hand sewn loops that were beaded all down my train and were not even noticeable among all the other embroidery and beading. It took her over 2 hours to design the bustle the way i liked it and she did it while i was wearing it! I had to stand forever on a little stool on an off and she was on her hand and knees and squatting most of the time. She joked that it was a workout. That was a crazy day! Oh, and the best part was she HAND embroidered my new married initials and our wedding date on my train in lite lite blue, you couldn't notice it. It was a surprise and I loved it! It was my something blue.

OMG that was so about me me me, sorry Amy! I cant wait to see pictures of your awesome wedding!

Yes - please no pop tart talk!! I am sitting here eating my salad with skinless, tasteless chicken on it! Doing it for the same reason as you Kristin! That and so I can eat more good ,fattening WDW food!! Goofy's Make-your-own Rice Krispy Treat here I come!!

Siobhan- we are booked in a GW room at the CR next year. If I am gonna pay that kind of money to stay in the tower, then I am going back to a GV at the GF!! We just wanted to be on the monorail the cheapest way possible! It will be fine

Amy- Hooray for the first dress fitting!!! I still remember mine like it was yeserday (and it was more than 11 years ago ) Have fun and cherish the memory!!

Chan- I am glad the GF magic is working! I see nothing wrong with skipping the rides and doing what the girls want. They needed the vacation too! Enjoy your last couple of days!

To everyone else who chimed in, I am glad I am not the only one thinking about Christmas shopping I am determined to be done and wrapped before we leave on 12/5 DS is almost done, I started DH, and I know what I am getting my brother and his wife. I just need to start on my niece, figure out my parents and IL's and the grandparents...

We also need a new Christmas tree for the family room since our old one was 5 years old and a large section of the lights blew up right after Christmas day last year Prelit trees are awfully convenient, but not very economical over the long run We have a GORGEOUS one in the living room, but I want one in the family room too, since it goes near the fireplace. Wouldn't want Santa to have to hunt through the house to find a place to put his loot!

I need to work out and hit the grocery store...TTFN!

Mandy I LOVE hearing everybody's wedding stories! OMG, I so hope I don't have to stand for 2 hours on a stool. I would die!
I still have the two piece dress. I was just telling DF last night "what if I hate it now". He said "Too bad!" The store I got the dress from guaranteed their alterations never go over $200, including the bustle so it shouldn't be TOO bad. It needs taken in at the top, I know, and to have a bustle put in, but I'm not sure about anything else.

Thanks for all the kinds words everyone. I am having a better day! I am going up to the gym tonight and I am going to watch the practice and see how things go. I really would not have done the competition thing with Lily but Lexi was doing it and I knew Lily would have a hard time figuring out why she was not. I think all the kids get a trophy or medal so that is good. It is still the fact that she has gone this long and no one has taught her what to do when she actually gets to the meet. I will talk to the coach tonight if I still feel he is not helping her.

Amy- Soo exciting about the dress. I loved getting married. I was a Christmas bride and still remember the first time I put on my dress. I felt like a princess. I did not want to have Ron see me before the wedding but wanted to get the pictures out of the way first. We decided that he would stand at the alter facing the wall. I walked up the aisle and tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around to see me. I will never forget those tears in his eyes. It was just he and I in the church at the time. Very special moment. Time is flying by so fast you will be married before you know it!!

Siobhan- You make me laugh. You are just like me. I have changed my mind a million times. It sounds like you will be happiest at a deluxe resort so that is probably what I would do for Christmas. I can usually skimp a little any other time of year but I am not too sure about Christmas. Is the GF available and what about the BC concierge?? I have never stayed at the Comtemporary so no advice there. I am not too sure if I would like it at Christmas...but that is just me.

Channing- It sounds like you are having a blast now!! So fun about the Wishes cruise.

We are loving it here. I am over my camera and the other stuff with the kids that was driving me a bit nuts. We had some bad luck on the first couple days....we usually do, though...but now we are wishing we could change our flight....Hey! Maybe I will!!! I am going to check SWA NOW!

I just checked SWA and the fares are ridiculous.....I miss the days you could book a day in advance and not get ripped. So.....we are leaving tomorrow night as planned. IT's ok...Jojo has a soccer game Saturday and I promised she'd be there. WE will be back. YOu all have a great time Saturday!!!!!

There is something here....I am totally not into free dining...so didn't look...here is the deal....SELECT DISNEY DELUXE RESORTS....5 nt/6 day vaation package....$133/day per person based on a family of 4 in a GV room at the GF...total pakage price $3171 ...a savings of $654..(whoohoo ) Available for stays most nights 8/23/09 to 10/01/09

Also says to heck about packages for other resorts and lengths of stay and packages for stays from October 2 to 8.

OK...gonna run. The girls are vegging and watching a movie..and I was cleaning up a bit.

We just had lunch at GF Cafe...and it was good.

HEY!!!! The cabanas are redone!!!!! They have the sofa/loveseats, smaller teak tables (I think smaller) and there are NEW thick burgondy cushions on the lounge chairs. VERY NICE!!! They did move the two pre rented cabanas to 1 & 2...farthest from the pool store...and then 3 and 4 are nearer....also 3 and 4 don't seem to have TVs. Everything else looks the same...I took pics with LUcy's camera...I have a ton to post....except we used up her card and don't know how to empty it!!!! OMG...we are so girly.

TTFN!! We are going to MK...after we get a ton of stuff together to ship home.

I am going to check on that Xmas wrap for you, V!

Hi! OK...one more check in thing before we head to MK....which apparently will be BUSY....ugh....it closes at 7 pm for a halloween party but there was NOTHING available for a dinner ressie early...bummer....

Mickey comes tonight!!! I have all the goodies ready to set out after they go to bed. I am going to pick up some balloons this evening and tie them to my daughter's Mickey and Minnie dolls as well! This is a huge deal in our house.

This morning my son woke up and the very first thing out of his little mouth was "I wanna go see if Mickey came!!" I followed closely behind so I could quicky distract him since I knew Mickey didn't fly in on the Barnstormer last night....anyway WHAT A TREAT THEY ARE IN FOR TOMORROW!!!

I hope can can sleep tonight - I am sooo excited it will be difficult.
