Haven't been for 2 years...pre-park open AK ADR

I haven't had a pre-park open ADR past 8:00 am, so I want to know if a pre-park open ADR at Tusker for 8:35 is too late? Assuming CMs will call in people with reservations based on times, will I actually be called in this late or will I get in before 8:35? I haven't been to WDW in 2 years (ie no Pandora), so the answer to this question is especially important since it would occur on the day we are visiting AK in the am with no plans to FP+ that park. We plan to do Na'Vi standby at RD (not planning to do FOP on this day unless I was fortunate to get a 9:00 FP+ at which point I might be inclined to change our pm plans.) If we won't actually get into the restaurant until 8:35 then I will obviously pass. Regardless, is there still benefit to an ADR at AK now with Pandora? TIA

EDITED for clarity. Thanks @sharonabe :wave2:

You might be ok if you eat quickly and leave without worrying about meeting the characters.

There hasn’t been any benefit in having a PPO ADR to get into Pandora. Most head to FoP at RD so NRJ might still be doable after breakfast. But if you made the ADR solely to give you a jump into Pandora tthen you may be disappointed.

Get to DAK early enough to check in with the 8:05 folks. This can help with an early seating. It may not help with getting to FOP if that is your motivation, in fact that might just ruin a pretty expensive breakfast.

since it would occur on the day we are visiting AK in the am with no FP+ selections and planned to do Na'vi standby at RD with hopefully a 9:00 FP for FOP. (I'm hopeful for that since it would be on my 9th day)

How do you have NO selections, but hope for a 9:00 FP? You've confused me.

However, even if you do get into Tusker at 8:00, which is entirely possible, this will actually hurt your chances of getting on Na'vi at rope drop as the crowd heading to Pandora will already be in the park and in Pandora by 8:30. When you exit Tusker, you'll have to go back across the bridge and find the end of the line that could be somewhere in Oasis. They do NOT open the back path to Pandora until later. Even though you are heading to Na'vi, you'll be in the masses of people going to FoP.

Check out Robo's maps to get an idea of what I'm talking about: https://www.disboards.com/threads/maps-of-wdw-by-robo-65-maps-more.3545729/

Another vote to pass. Since Pandora opened, AK has opened earlier than posted to let the crowds get in line for FoP and Navi'. By park opening time, the lines an easily be 90 minutes plus before the rides open.
If you don't care about either of those rides, then having breakfast at Tusker is still a good option.
