Have you tried "miracle products" that did absolutly nothing?

Also there was some kind of stuff you were supposed to drink that helped you lose weight awhile back. Sorry can't think of the name but it was expensive and tasted horrendous. Didn't do a darned thing except make me want to vomit. I believe it's been taken off the market.

Was it "Jogging in a Jug?" That was a vingear based substance(or maybe just expensive plain vinger touting healthy body and weight loss. Always looked a little scary and the commercials made me want to hide!

Anyone ever have any luck with those hair wraps, or bands, or whatever they were called? On tv, it shows the girls using it and within literally seconds, their hair is all pulled up in some sort of neat style. I bought one of them at a local K-Mart or Caldors and I'll be darned if I could get my hair to do anything with it! I won't buy anything anymore that I have to send back, no unless I am 100% sure I know what I am getting! ::yes::

BJ's and Sam's normally sell those 'tv only' things. My DH saw this ladder recently...........only 5 payments of $39.99..............I looked at him and said "Don't even think about it!" :earseek:

Any product that says:

"to reduce fine lines and wrinkles" does not work :p

I've got one! Tried those little wipes you're supposed to set in your microwave and heat up for a few seconds. Then everything is supposed to magically wipe out of the microwave so easily. Waste of money!

really? those worked out well for me! well - maybe din't wipe out EASILY...but it got a bunch egg off the microwave.

ahh...the epilady...torture of the 80's...i remember that well!

It wasn't called "jogging in a jug" but it may have been similar. It was this amber colored syrup that definately could have been vinegar flavored :crazy2: .

Maybe I expected too much :D . To me it wasn't any easier than just spraying down the microwave with 409 and then taking a damp sponge to it which is my normal microwave cleaning method. I expected effortless cleaning :teeth: .

Just thought of another. I bought Zap to combat my DH's soap scummy shower. Did nothing except make me cough due to the fumes.

LOL! Me too!! :rotfl:

Another one I sprung for was the "Edgemaster" paint roller that's supposed to prevent you from having to mask around trim and doorways. You're just supposed to be able to wheel this little baby around all that stuff and have the plastic guard protecting your trim

Oh I fell for that one too! It's a piece of worthless crap, I spent over an hour trying to get that stupid thing to work. Finally I just gave up and stepped on it and smashed it to pieces. DH looked at me and said two words- anger management. ;)

Another one - ProActive acne treatment. It was no better than the junk you can buy over the counter. And it came in such little bottles - scam city.
