Have you shipped a box home after trip?

I was thinking i would like to send all my souveniers home in a box, instead of trying to squeeze in our suitcases.

How do i send this?

I think I could get a prepaid UPS label to send it back home, but where do i drop my box off? Is there somewhere at Disney World?


Has anyone ever done this?

I've done this several times when I was staying somewhere and didn't want to carry all the extra stuff home. I would just go to the post office, get a Priority Mail box, throw everything in, use their PM tape and label, get delivery conf (for tracking), and send it on home. Very simple.

In o6 my husband and I stayed at pop the gift shop there boxed everything for us and shipped it out for us as well. It was so nice it arrived about 2 days after we got home. Jo

Yes, one trip DH and I got so many souvenirs so we decided to pack those in our suitcase and we shipped all our dirty laundry home! The front desk at our hotel provided us a box and a shipping label.

We had a medium box shipped home from AKL, and it cost us atleast $15.00 I believe.

We did this from CBR. Just go to the concierge. They gave us a box, labeled it, taped it, etc, everything. It cost around $15.00.

I know there is a FedEx center nearby, also. My cousin works for FedEx and gets a nice discount, so we dropped our suitcases off to be shipped home.

In the past we have been able to box up our items and check them as luggage at the airport. With the current baggage fees it may be cheaper to ship home but its worth looking into.

we have done it 2x's...1st was a rifle DS purchased at Frontierland, and we were told by airline it would have to go underneath the plane(requiring us to buy a box anyway) so we took it to the desk at CBR, they took care of everythng , total cost was under $20. Second time, DS stikes again, but for his monorail train set. Had it shipped directly from the Polynesian to our home, $15 shipping fee..and it arrived about 15 minutes after we walked in the door! It was very nice not having to worry about trying to pack it up ourselves each time.

My daughter wanted us to purchase many kitchen items for her while we were at the Disney Store in Downtown Disney. When we were paying, the clerk asked us if we wanted the items shipped to our home. It was a blessing! I think this trip we will save souvenier shopping for the last day and have everything sent home again. It worked out really well for us.

I do this every trip -- and ship mine via FedEx Ground -- as I have a (free) account, all I need to do is print-out the label in advance and schedule the package to be picked-up. Exact charges will be applied to my CC from FedEx on the day the parcel is delivered.

As for "where" to drop off, your resort's front desk is the best place, since both FedEx and UPS make their appointed rounds to all WDW resorts (the USPS, OTOH, only services WDW via the Lake Buena Vista post office).

Absoulely -- you can use your account number and schedule a pickup from your hotel or resort...
