Have you seen the price increases for lightning lane!?

Don't worry I'm sure Dave will cover the difference when its more than $45 Xmas week. :P
Sure we are on the Internet so it is all Virtual money anyway.

I sure hope so! 🤣
I will wait here for you both to apologize when the max price is $45 for MK during Xmas week. The $45 price is already a 15.4% increase over the max of $39 for October 2024 / October 2025.

Tom Bricker of Disney Tourist Blog has his own theory with respect to the October 29 LL prices:

". . . my best guess here is that Walt Disney World did this strategically, knowing that today is “price increase day.” They likely wanted as many negative headlines all at once in order to avoid prolonging the negative news cycle. A flood the zone with garbage approach, if you will.

My guess is that, in the coming days, Lightning Lane Multi-Pass (and Single Pass) prices will retreat from their record highs during those shoulder season dates. That this was just done to establish new records, and that’s it. I wouldn’t even be surprised if Veterans Day and Thanksgiving end up being less expensive than this despite higher attendance and crowds."

Oh well, lucky for all of us going on 10/29. 😄

Dave, I want you to be right for sure. I'd be scared to see my daily increase if they go up another $2-15. It's not as a big of a deal if it's just DH and I, but with 10 of us, it hurts a bit more lol

Edited to note: It does not hurt enough to not go at all or go without LLMP/LLSP during holiday crowds 🤣

My assumption is that not enough people are purchasing the basic Magic Band, or there might be efforts to discourage people from buying a basic Magic Band altogether.

Let's stop arguing the max value of LLMP and LLSP for 2025 as nobody really knows the max for 2025 until DISNEY posts prices up to Dec 31st.

We are not getting anywhere trying to convince one another that we have the correct information.

Agree to disagree and move on. Future posts trying to convince why they are right about future dates will be deleted.

Gotta squeeze every last nickel out of the guests. This will definitely affect my vacation planning. I can only do about 3-4 standby lines a day. Between this and every other “we need to max our bonuses” adjustment in a tough economy, I’m going to start examining alternatives. I’m a DVC member, so I expect I’ll be there annually, but I’m going to back on days or meals or something. And this year, went several times, but that won’t happen again. Staycations are starting to look great!

Prices for the 30th are back down to $32 as the highest at MK vs $45 on the 29th. So my hypothesis may have been correct that they are expecting a busy day on the 29th

We are going in Dec and I don't know whether we will buy any LL because of the prices. However, I thought that, during covid reopening, when there were no fastpasses and everyone had to wait in standby, it was actually nice. Maybe it will be this way if enough people don't buy. 🤞:)

I'm on the fence about buying it for 10/24. My goals are to get at least four tier 1's with park hopping. Looking at today at 8:30am the pickings are getting slim, and the parks will only get busier. Hardly seems worth it so I can skip the line at rides like Figment. :scratchin:scratchin

Have you looked at the attractions you want (Tier 1/2) to see if/when they add extra LL capacity added during the day?

I know I've done it and gotten Tiana's before. Knowing me I'll end up buying it and then be mad when everything I want is gone by 10am. :rotfl:

I can't even decide which park I want to start in. MK closes at 6pm so supposedly the park will be less crowded but I've tried that strategy before and wasn't super successful.

What I like is to have at least one tier 1 for the night and save my other two LL's to book things for the current time. I'll eventually use those 2 LL's for night time in the park I want to end in. I keep an eye on the things I want for night and jump on them if availability starts running low. All of this only works though if the parks aren't crowded.

That's my issue. You pay big bucks every day for a CHANCE to get a short line at your favorite attraction. Unless your favorite attraction is the best ride there - then you have to pay for that one by itself. Either way, you have to pay for the right to get up early 7 days out, filled with anxiety, hoping to get what you want. Complete garbage.
