Have You Received Your 1098?

I just realized I have not received my 1098 from DVC and I am supposed to have my taxes done tomorrow! Have you received yours yet? Annmarie

I thought there was some sort of law or something that they had to be received by Jan 31 ? Maybe this is just specific to PA ? But I got both my employer and the DVC 1098 on Jan 31.

I thought there was a law about having to SEND them by the 31st. Last year all ours arrived the first week in Feb. We got this years ones here in NY on 1/30th.

Because they can!

The law requires that the forms be MAILED by Jan 31st. You don't actually NEED the 1098 to file your taxes if you know how much you paid. Perhaps you can call the MS accounting office tomorrow morning and get the figure.

We received ours last Tuesday here in Alabama. I believe that someone said that the statements were mailed on the 26th, so if you don't have your forms yet, you should get them in the next couple of days.
