Or...if you don't want to, I'll sum it up for you. Basically, Fantasyland is goiing to be changing. I know some of you guys had been talking about that layout picture on another thread and...well...obviously it was more than just a simple prank or rumor. They really are doing it!

I'm excited...but sad all at the same time. I don't want to see Toontown go.

I'm very angry that they're taking out Mickey and Minnie's house.

Have they already started the refurbishment, if not, when's it starting?
I'm not going to be happy if I go on my trip in July and not be able to go on Peter Pan, or Winnie the Pooh.

Toontown doesn't interest me. It was only supposed to be temporary, so i'm not too sad to see it go. I heard it starts in 2012, and they're aiming to finish it 2013 (so I think they'll start earlier. Maybe next year?) They'll still keep Fantasyland open, as the refurbishment doesn't seem to affect much (but might close off the area around the castle to add the castle walls, and move Dumbo) Here's some concept art:

Birds eye view of the refurished area. Note that there are no changes to the side with Philharmagic, Small World, etc.

The main attraction being added, Ariel's Adventure. It's supposed to be similar to the Little Mermaid ride being added to DCA, but smaller, I think.

Doubling up Dumbo! The queue is interactive, and it looks like it's gonna be in a tent (but the bird's eye view shows it outside) Also, is that a carousel on the left hand side? They're not moving the one behind the castle, so is this new? Oh, and that clown is creepy!

I remember when I first went to WDW when I was like 2 the first thing we did was go to Minnie's house and I told my mom I wanted a big pink chair like Minnies! I'm gonna miss it :[

Does anyone know when they're starting the re-decorating/re-building? Or did someone already answer that question and I missed it?

GOOD! Toontown is so old. Im almost positive it was built for one of Mickey's birthday milestones and was supposed to close but it got a positive reaction from guests. Mabye since there going to put the Fantasyland meet & greets up they will keep the fairies. I'm suprised Toontown wasnt closed years ago. Disney is always trying to make improvements.

They're keeping everything in Fantasyland. They're just expanding it. Nothing in Fantasyland has to close either during the work (well probably Dumbo as they move it to Toontown, and the carousel as they add a wall between Snow White's Scary Adventures and Pinocchio's Village House to make a courtyard)

those look really cool.

i'm frankly glad they're getting rid of toon town. i hated toon town.
