Got on without a problem around 5:30pm.I was able to view all the tours and get the countdown going.I think the site looks great and I look forward to online account management.

What is the purpose of having this "brand new" site, when it doesn't offer any new features??

As a web developer by trade, I can't understand why Disney does not offer "REAL" online reservations (Think Expedia/Travelocity) and point account management. Do they think we are too dumb to figure it out?

They can take their new site and put it on the shelf. It is a new fancy package for the old site...in my opinion.

I have personally met some web developers that work at Disney. It doesn't surprise me that they can't get their act together. Their computer department is segmented and they don't pool their resources together. They have some talented people there, but if they would just work together, maybe they could launch a site that isn't just eye-candy, but is actually helpful to its users.

Sorry for venting....I have been waiting for this site, now the sour taste of disappointment has gotten to me. :rolleyes:
 
At least you all received your passwords and info in the mail. We didn't even get that much. :( Instead, we were told they were mailed. If we didn't get them, "it must be a problem with the post office." For two of the three people listed on my contract???? I doubt it. Especially, since I've gotten nothing from them since sometime last year -- not even the update to the member guidebook.

It doesn't sound like we're missing much, but it sure is aggravating.

Took two trys after my initial failure, it said my user name was already being used, so I had to pick a new one. I didn't have any expectations for the site, so i can't say that I'm disappointed, but I can't say that I'm impressed either.
 
I got in with no problem after work today. Just a few minutes ago I tried again, and now it says my Vacation Club ID is invalid. How frustrating!
 
It says my vacation club ID number is invalid, too. You're not alone!

Inky, we didn't receive anything in the mail either although, in our case, it's probably due to the fact that we are new members. If you still haven't received your Vacation ID's and PINS, you might want to call MS tomorrow. We did this morning and they provided this information to us over the phone!

I just keep trying and trying but cannot get it to accept my registration.:(

Have you first logged-in using your general disney.com ID/password ? These are the ones you've most likely been using for awhile now to register for contests or make ressies online etc. Once you do this on the sign-in page, it will take you to the DVC Member exclusive ID/PIN page. Took me a couple of tries before I figured this one out. Good luck. Hope this works for you :fish:
