Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

I received my first Moderna vaccine Wednesday afternoon. Only mild discomfort in my arm the following day. However, Thursday night I went to sleep feeling fine, woke up 30 minutes later throwing up like never before. Every 10 minutes for about 2.5 hours. No nausea but horrible stomach pain. Mild fever and chills. As quickly as it started it ended.

2nd Moderna shot 2/10. Reported yesterday DH had chills, headache, and sore arm...that continued along with body ache and sleeplessness last night. I still have no side effects except for a sore arm that is better today. I take good probiotics, zinc, Vit. C , D, elderberry and multivitamin daily so maybe that has helped?

My dad is 74 and had a mild case of Covid. He had his 1st shot a week ago today (Pfizer) and did fine with it with just a little arm pain (or at least that's what they've told us but knowing my mom it's true because she will tell you like it is) Still trying to get her an appointment...

I have to update - my mom was able to get an appointment yesterday for her first shot! She had to go over an hour away but her and my dad made a day out of it with lunch and all. I actually just called her a short time ago to see how she was doing and she said other then her arm being sore and her not being able to lift it all the way, she is doing good.

My parents are booked in tomorrow, which under UK plans is sooner than planned. My work is offering vaccines to family bubbles/CEV people but hadn't hit the age range my parents fall into until yesterday so have left it to go to their GP one as much closer.

I was due to have my 2nd jab in January but it got pushed back to 12 weeks as plans had changed here to give more people opportunity to have their first. Now getting my 2nd late March

Both my Mom and Aunt got their second shot yesterday. Mom-Orlando, Fl Moderna, so far only has a sore arm and a headache. We think the headache is actually from stress. Aunt-Detroit, Mi Pfizer, sore arm and a little bit of an upset stomach. Could have been from the food she ate this morning though. All in all, they haven’t had major symptoms at all. I‘m so grateful.

Just got word from our hospital that if you are 14 days past second vaccination with moderna or 7 days past second vaccination with Pfizer there is no need to quarantine if you are exposed to covid.

At least some benefit to the vaccine.

Just back from 1st shot of Pfizer vaccine. Very well organized location at Cal Poly Pomona. Through waiting maze line with no stops, then they checked our appointment number and ID, took temperature and put us on through to the cubicles. 4 rows of cubicles. Took seat and answered questions, then the nurse came in and administered shot. Yes, it hurt. Much like all other shots except tetanus (which is worse). Back home now, eating In-N-Out, arm not sore (hopefully not going to be), but I have a little bit of a funny taste in my mouth.

Got my first shot this afternoon (Pfizer). About an hour or two later I got an aural migraine (I get those about once a year. These migraines don't hurt. It just causes an odd visual disturbance). It may have been due to the shot, or it may have been a coincident. The shot didn't hurt AT ALL. I feel totally fine. I get second dose in March.

I had my first dose of Moderna today. I also had an aural migraine an hour or two later. I thought it may have just been a coincidence. Interesting to see that someone else had the same experience, albeit with a different brand of vaccine.

party:DH and I got our second shots of the Pfizer vaccine tonight. Quick process in Orange County (Orlando) - it's all drive-thru, nobody leaves their vehicle. We were in and out of the convention center (including 15 minute holding) in about 35 minutes.

A few differences from 4 weeks ago: They have National Guard soldiers on traffic duty, routing you to the right bay to get your shots. They don't engage in any other way with the people coming in. Shots are still administered by Fire Dept. EMTs. They give you a printed card now about what to do if you suffer a reaction while in the holding area. They didn't scan us in or out of the holding area. When we left, they gave us 6 white fabric masks.

So far (just 2 hours later), no problems. We didn't have anything with our first shots, so fingers crossed here. I'll check in if anything interesting happens.
