Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

I got my first Pfizer almost exactly 72 hours ago. My sore arm is gone but today I woke up with a slight headache and dizziness. Also very nauseous. I ended up having to take a leftover Zofran to make it through the day. My legs are a little tingly and achy. No idea if it’s from the vaccine or not... I assume so?

Many thanks to everyone here on this thread for listening and enduring my rants while trying to get my parents vaccinated. I have been on a mission of late calling and signing them up anywhere even remotely reasonable. Less than a week ago, I signed them up in a neighboring county and got a call a couple days ago for an event being held today. They just called and are on their way home from getting their first Moderna vaccine! Very happy day here! :cheer2: :flower1:

That's great news! Very happy for your family.

Moderna 2nd dose day 1: (got the shot at 9 something this morning)
Arm is ridiculously sore, (ranges from 0 if not moving to tearing up 7 if poked) headache mild, minor irregular chills, runny nose, can’t sleep a lick. It’s 2am and I just took a hit of NyQuil. Wish me luck. (Tylenol took the edge off earlier today. I also took a 24 hr cetirizine at 4pm for the headache.)

got pfizer shot one. slight sore arm nbd but had a weird taste in my mouth and nose for a full day that's now gone also nbd. i started to obssess about how it was injected after reading on this thread how not to squeeze the arm as they inject it and the nurse squeezed my upper arm. dh says that's ok as long as it was put in the muscle/deltoid but i keep obssessing in my head about the squeezed upper arm and it wasn't effective. opinions?

my parents who had two vaccines, in two weeks time, want to come into my house but one person in my home has not been vaccinated. i assume i need to tell them to wear masks for him? what are the rules on that and how strict would i need to be for that as they aren't so great with compliance. the person not vaccinated is healthy and younger adult. i don't think people know the post vaccinated 'rules' yet...

Advice from Mayo Clinic:

The governor here made people 65 and older eligible Thursday. My BIL is 66, today he was able to get an appointment Monday at a Walgreens in Port Allen across the river from us. My sister just turned 64 this week, she will have to wait until the governor decides to add residents with underlying conditions. She would qualify under that.

Had my first vaccination of Moderna Friday. Sore arm only. Appointment for my second dose is March 5. My parents will have their second dose the week before mine.

DW and I will be in the line to receive 2nd Moderna in 7 hours

BOTH SHOTS in 2 weeks???? Wondering where that was and what protocol allowed that rapid injection time frame.

Can I request that posts include the state you are in? I'm in PA. We signed up with county, signed up with local heath care center, hunt several times a day at a few other spots and nothing.

I have no idea what the official protocol would be, but I guess it really just matters what your personal comfort level is. If I was in that situation I would not ask anyone to wear a mask, especially if the unvaccinated person is young and healthy. But that's just me.

I’ve been working the local clinic. I always grab the muscle, especially in the elderly whose muscles aren’t bulky anymore. I don’t squeeze hard, just enough so I can feel the muscle in my hand. The needles used are long enough to get to the muscle, it’s extremely unlikely it was given inaccurately.
