Have You Forgotten?

I haven't forgotten nor do I ever want to...

Are they doing anything in NY to mark the 5 year anniversary? I think one of these years I will take DH and the kids to NY...maybe when the kids are old enough to understand...

I think about it at least once a day.. It still frightens me when I hear an airplane that sounds like it's flying too low and I become very startled by unexpected loud noises..

I wasn't even in New York at the time.. We were in Disney World and I'll never, ever forget how frightened and confused we were.. :(

I will never forget either. Thank you for starting this thread.

I went to my volunteer job of cat-socialization on 9/11/2001 at 8:30 AM.

I had no radio or communication with anyone.

I came out at 11 AM and it was all over.

To this day, the first thing I do is put on the news to be sure I know what is going on.

No, I will never forget :grouphug: .

I have not forgotten. :sad2: (military wife)

C.Ann, we were at WDW too. We had no clue till about noon. :sad2:

Me too! It was the 4th of July and the military planes flew over our house and I almost had a heart attack till I looked out my window. I'm always checking when a loud plane flies by...

I remember sitting on my deck on 9/11 and staring at the sky thinking how strange it was there were no planes flying overhead. I just sat there forever crying and staring at the sky...

I was in 4th grade. I was in math. I was on problem number 22 on page number 124 on set number 5. The answer was 44.

No. I haven't forgotten.

I was laying on my back in the grass, listening to the kids playing catch. I was amazed at how blue and clear the sky was. I did see a plane however, we now believe it was either AF1 or the refuler plane. Very scary moment when I saw it.

I will never forget that day.

I remember the first time I heard Alan Jackson sing that song, it was at the Pentagon on GMA, and seeing the survivors nodding and crying at "do you feel guilty because you are a survivor, in a crowded room do you feel alone" gave me such chills.

I won't forget. It was my girls first day of preschool and I wasnt sure if I should take them or not. I ultimately decided that it was better to take them then to have them watch tv all day with me. The second tower fell on the way there. Their preschool teacher was crying and I just gave her a hug because I knew that had to be the hardest day she ever taught.

I haven't forgotten. But this song came out when we invaded Iraq, which had nothing to do with 9/11. I have always disliked this song, it is misleading, and I think you left out the line about some people say we don't need this war. This song was about the war in Iraq.

Alan Jackson's song is what brings it back for me. His song is about 9/11 and it captures the way I felt that day.
