not me, but one of my former hairdresser's elder clients won one of the massive paying sweepstakes (well over a million dollars). noone knew about it because it was'nt one that went overboard publicizing the winners, except for a chosen few close friends AND those like my hairdresser who became recipients of surpise gifts for what this gentleman perceived as acts of kindness (she went out of her way to help her elderly clients-picking up groceries for them, taking them soup if they were ill, running them on errands...).
he called her one day and asked if she could take him on an errand-the errand she learned was a trip to the local cadilac dealership where he had preselected a top model with all the bells and whistles. he told her he knew she had been saving for a few years to replace her old clunker, and he figured she had enough saved to make up the difference the car insurance would run for several years to come
