Sounds crazy I know. We recently won a fabulous double joggin stroller on Ebay. We live in a historic section of town, and the old trees have wreaked havoc on the side walks. The jogger is a dream to push! I have a double maclaren as well, and this jogger beats it to pieces!

We plan on taking our Maclaren to Disney. But this jogger is tempting me to bring him along. We will be driving our vehicle to the parks so space and bus hassle isn't an issue. Though I can imagine it would be difficult to manuever through crowds.

I guess I just want to hear if anyone else has experience with a double jogger in Disney so I can put it out of my head.

Thanks! :)

Hi, we took a double stroller to disney when we went earlier this year. however it was one that its one in front and one in back. The disney strollers that you can rent are made like the jogging strollers, even the double ones. well except they are hard plastic. but they are triangle shaped, like the joggers (the ones that i have seen at least). if you have the extra room in the vehicle, go for it! see how it works for you. Have fun!! jen

I haven't done it, but I considered taking a all-terrain (jogger with a swivel wheel) and here is what I have gathered (mostly from these boards!)...

The problem with a jogger/all-terrain is taking it on/off the bus. I think that you have to fold strollers to take them on the buses. An umbrella-style would be much easier to deal with. If you will have a car to use to take to the parks, this wouldn't be a problem.

The other thing that I could see being a problem is the fixed wheel of the jogger. I wonder if it would cause trouble with the larger turning radius in some of the smaller areas/stroller parking areas of the parks. Maybe someone can give you more insight in this area. (I had a jogger and had to lift up the front wheel to turn it...bugged the daylights out of me since I don't jog!) .

Again, I have no experience in the parks with strollers, but those are just some things that I have considered. I have the all-terrain and an umbrella style, and I'm going with the umbrella style, mainly because of the bus situation. I also like that I can hang things (backpack diaper bag) off the handles!

I would take it if you have your own vehicle. I looked at them since they look so much more comfortable for the kiddos but we will be using the disney buses and they are a pain in the you know what to fold up and are pretty heavy so I had to get a standard side by side lightweight double.

We have taken our double jogging stroller to Disney twice now. Both times it worked wonderfully! We were there in value season both times (Jan 2005, Sept 2006), so we didnd't have issues iwht it being super crowded on the busses with it (folded down of course). That won't even be an issue for you though since you'll be driving. It was nice because the kids could lay the seat back and nap if needed.

I'm a double jogger fan myself. I have hauled my jogger through both Disneyland and Disneyworld. (I packed it in a modified Christmas tree bag and checked it with all our baggage - DH was mortified!!! :rotfl2: ) At this point I won't go without it. Indeed collapsing it on the bus was a pain but we quickly found a system that worked and we had no trouble. It makes such a huge difference for everyone when my kids(3 and 5) can rest comfortably!! I did not find my jogger that much bigger than the double Disney rental strollers. If you are used to maneuvering one it's not that big a deal. When things got very crowded (park closing etc.) we put a lead person in front of us to clear a path. That way, if i caught a heel I only had to deal with my DH and not some stranger! :rotfl: I also put battery operated christmas lights on it making it easy to spot at night. Got lots of compliments from cast members for my decorated stroller. Having a car minimizes the collapsing issues so I'd go whith what is most comfortable for the little ones. Have Fun!!!
