not me, but, when DH's grandmother died, he inherited 75 acres of land. it wasn't totally unexpected, as he is the only grandson, and land passes down through the men in his family, but still a bit of a surprise. DH's aunt & uncle got a copy of the deed and took it to an attorney to try to sue us for it, but the attorney told them it was ironclad, and there was nothing they could do. we don't make any money off of it; in fact, it costs us several hundred dollars in property taxes each year; however, DH adored his "nanny" and took excellent care of her after his grandfather (who was his favorite person growing up) died, so it means a lot to him to have the family land.
i will never inherit anything from anyone in my family. my mother can't even pay her bills every month (my DGM helps her; mom will really be up a creek when DGM dies, because none of the rest of us can afford to support her), and my dad's 3rd wife will get what little he has. there was a time when each of us would've gotten a small amount of money from my DGM, but i'm pretty sure all of that has been spent keeping my mother afloat.
