have you ever had to walk out of a movie?

Yes, I have walked out of numerous movies. The last movie I walked out of was Sin City.

History of the World pt 2 - the movie we were supposed to see was sold out, so we wandered into this one. We were on a double date and we were all so embarrassed we finally left.

Terminator 2, Plattoon - Both of these movies I was pregnant and felt fine going in, but when violent stuff started happening I kept having to run out and throw up.

Many, many years ago (when I was young) I walked out on "The Last House on the Left". I've always thought it was the worst movie ever made. Imagine my surprise when they remade this movie recently. :scared1: I couldn't believe it. I kept saying to myself "Why would they remake that movie? It was the worse movie EVER" ! No accounting for taste, I guess.

Two that I can think of ... Flashdance, and Urban Cowboy. Just execreble, both of them.

I walked out of Kill Bill vol 2. I had never seen a Q. Tarantino movie before and this one seemed just violent for the sake of violent. Although every one raves about his pics, I can't stomach them.

The only other one was Schindlers list, maybe because it was a factual event I just couldn't take it. Man's inhumanity to man at it's worst.

I came ver close to walking out of Leaving Las Vagas with Nicholas Cage. Hated it, but was with MIL and she loves Cage, so I stayed. Turns out, she hated the movie, too and wanted to leave! Wish I had spoken up - that was two hours I'll never get back!

dh and I walked out of the flintstones. AWFUL. we had so looked forward to it, too.

I would have walked out of stepbrothers but dh was enjoying it.

I wish I could have my time back and should have walked out of made of honor. I thought it would be a cute romantic comedy and kept waiting for it to get better. blech.

Yup. The Deerhunter, so long ago.

I didn't walk out on The Deerhunter, but I should have. I had nightmares over that movie for weeks.

The only film I've ever walked out on was Helstrom Chronicles. For some reason, I thought it was going to be a sci-fi movie. It turned out to be a documentary on bugs! Yuck!

I've never walked out of a movie, but I did fall completely asleep during one once. It was a Robin Williams film called "Toys", one of the most boring movies ever made IMO.

We walked out of the same exact movie. It was horrible

When I was 15 some friends and I walked out of Howard the Duck after about 10 minutes. It was so bad that even we teens wouldn't watch it. We snuck in to Aliens instead.

Oh yes, I walked out on "The Fifth Element." Just not my type of movie. I had to wait in the lobby for dh though, he loved it :confused3

The only one I walked out on was Rainman with Dustin Hoffman & Tom Cruise. I just could not take the scene where the smoke alarm was going off. Stupid, I know, but I have a hard time with movies and people not being nice to one another. Not violence per se, but he was mentally challenged and people were mean to him and things scared him...I couldn't take it.

Now some I wish I had walked out on....Cotton Club, Event Horizon, Talledega Nights, In the Bedroom (please shoot me now! most boring movie EVER!!), Runaway Bride and Master & Commander.

Who could walk out on Howard the Duck? It's a classic!!!!!:rotfl2:

No never. I figured I paid my $9 and dangit, I'm sticking ut out to the bitter, bitter end. But there were several we wished we had...

The Happening
8mm
The Thin Red Line
No Country For Old Men (watched in on video and wanted to shut it off soooo bad)

yesterday, my friends and i went to see 'Inglorious Basterds' at the movies. i dont do well with violence, but its usually ok if i just close my eyes. so thats what i did. the only problem was that i could still hear everything and was getting some pretty horrific mental images.
40 minutes into the movie, i had to leave. i was traumatised and crying my eyes out.

anyway, my question is, has anyone else ever had to walk out of a movie?

Only Shrek when my DS was acting up. We saw Inglorious Basterds and I was very disturbed by the audience. During the violent scenes, the crowd was LAUGHING! I kid you not. At least 50% of the packed theater laughing out loud like it was a comedy. (this was on opening night) I walked out of that movie telling Dh I was more disturbed by the audience reaction to the violence than I was the movie.

I walked out on Hi Fidelity with John Cusack-who I love. Just couldn't stand the movie so we went for drinks instead:thumbsup2

There were several moments during the violence that were laugh worthy. Can't recall them now, but I remember laughing a time or two.

I can't handle much violence in a movie either. Just makes me sick to my stomach. No way would I have even considered this movie, the violence in the previews turned me off big time.

The only movie I ever walked out of was Talladega Nights. I saw it at the second run theater, so I only paid $5, which included my popcorn and pop.

Ate the popcorn, drank the pop... then left. What a hideously idiotic movie.

This movie is truly AWFUL...that said, I was given it as a Xmas gift from DH along with a trip to the real Talladega Nascar race. So in spite of its awfulness I have a certain fondness for the movie. My 3 year old (who hasn't actually watched it) likes to quote "I'm all jacked up on Mountain Dew!!" every time he sees a package at the store:rolleyes1 I'm not sure what people think about us when they hear that!

I walked out ONCE...it was the Movie, "Wisdom" back in the 80's...really, really bad.

I can't stand any level of violence, so I don't even ever go see anything that looks remotely violent, so no chance to walk out, but I have walked out of Treasure Planet and the Rugrats movie.

This is not walking out because I saw it on video, but I actually turned off Mama Mia, just couldn't get into it at all and it was no longer worth my time. I know that is a movie most people really enjoyed, but it was just stupid to me.
