Yup. The Deerhunter, so long ago.
I've never walked out of a movie, but I did fall completely asleep during one once. It was a Robin Williams film called "Toys", one of the most boring movies ever made IMO.
yesterday, my friends and i went to see 'Inglorious Basterds' at the movies. i dont do well with violence, but its usually ok if i just close my eyes. so thats what i did. the only problem was that i could still hear everything and was getting some pretty horrific mental images.
40 minutes into the movie, i had to leave. i was traumatised and crying my eyes out.
anyway, my question is, has anyone else ever had to walk out of a movie?
Only Shrek when my DS was acting up. We saw Inglorious Basterds and I was very disturbed by the audience. During the violent scenes, the crowd was LAUGHING! I kid you not. At least 50% of the packed theater laughing out loud like it was a comedy. (this was on opening night) I walked out of that movie telling Dh I was more disturbed by the audience reaction to the violence than I was the movie.
The only movie I ever walked out of was Talladega Nights. I saw it at the second run theater, so I only paid $5, which included my popcorn and pop.
Ate the popcorn, drank the pop... then left. What a hideously idiotic movie.
