I had them my junior year about 3 weeks before school was out. Lucky for me they weren't a very bad case. I had been exposed both in Kindergarten and first grade. Everyone in my class by the end of 1st grade had had them but me. Then I catch them from a kid on the bus my junior year.

I had them when I was two, and on vacation nonetheless. My mom had to stay inside with me the whole time!

I had them when I was eight, DH just got them LAST YEAR! He was just MISERABLE! He said he was never so annoyed when he tried to sleep, he just couldn't get comfortable. I slept on the couch so he have the bed all to himself. That was the longest 10-14 days that I can remember!
Was also told by the nurse we caught DH's just in time. There's a time period where chicken pox have to be stopped especially in older adults or it gets very, very dangerous. The nurse gave DH some medicine and told him to take every pill til they were gone. For relief, I gave him Aveeno Oatmeal Baths and put calamine lotion all over him. He had them everywhere....and I mean everywhere!

My mom had them as a child, then as an adult (in her late 30s) got a mean combination of shingles and mono...talk about feeling rough! I was 5, and caught chicken pox from her! (You can catch it from shingles) So she didn't feel like taking care of me, and I had the worst case my doctor had ever seen (my mom did when she had them too). They were on my eyelids, between my fingers and toes, EVERYWHERE! Thank goodness for my grandmother coming to help, or we would've been in bad shape! Dad was an elementary school principal and couldn't get out of work...YUCK!

twice when I was 16 and 5 years ago when I was 27 my oldest who was 6 got them first then he gave them to my youngest who was under one, then I got them.

I've never had them. I have a large family and most of my siblings had them but I never had CP or Mumps. My escape from those didn't make me poplular during the times most of my siblings were sick.

My older DD had them when I was pregnant, Dr thought I was probably immune and seems that I am since I still didn't get them.

I had a very mild case when I was 16 years old. I ended up missing my mid-term exams because of them. I was exposed to them when I was like 8, but never got them so they thought I was immune, but I guess they were wrong.

I had them when I was 5 years old. I had a broken arm at the same time and most of my spots were on that arm! My mum had to pour the lotion down the cast and poke it down with a knitting needle!!

I got CP when I was 6.

There was this kid in my apartment complex who tortured me endlessly - he and his pack of friends would beat me up, chase me around, etc. Well, I had been sequestered because of the CP, and I begged my mom one day to let me out to play. She gave in, and the moment I stepped onto the playground, Bully Boy and his friends showed up.

So I walked up to him and gave him a GREAT BIG HUG.

He and all his friends got it, and got it bad.

I don't remember how old I was when I got them but I remember all 4 of us had them and the rest of the kids in the neighborhood had them. It was like a vacation cause we could still all play together.

OMG Yes, I had them in my late 20s and they were absolutely terrible. Took me weeks to get over them.

My parents went to NYC for a long weekend. My Aunt who was about 19 at the time came and stayed with us. I was about 7 or so meaning my sisters were 10 and 8 and my brother was 5. All 4 of us had the chicken pox by the time my parents got home!! The funny thing is that my Mom exposed us all on purpose. I think it was my brother who either had them or she knew was going to get them and she wanted us all to get them at the same time and when we were young. It worked!!
