Yes - my DD threw a surprise birthday party for me a number of years ago (I thought I was going to a house warming at their first new home)..
It was very nice - lots of people there - had a good time - but truth be told, I don't like "surprise" parties.. Never have.. I don't like being the center of attention.. Ironically, she feels the exact same way.. LOL..
DH made me think we were going to a wedding, but he really had a limo pick us up and take us out for the evening. We went to dinner in Dallas at The Mansion on Turtle Creek and he proposed there. That was memorable enough, but.......
We then drove to Reunion Tower (you may recognize it from the opening credits of Dallas) and when we arrived, I was surprised to find out it wouldn't be just the two of us celebrating, but instead, a large group of friends! DH (to be) had arranged a surprise engagement/she accepted the proposal party. So we had a wonderful evening there, revolving over Dallas.
It was a fantastic night.![]()
