Ok, embarrassing but funny story....yesterday I was feeling very tired and overwhelmed (naturally, it's Christmas time!!).

As I sat at my desk typing away, my eyelids slowly creeping downward, my body was clearly telling me that I needed a time-out. I got up and headed to the ladies room where I thought "lemme just sit down for a second or two, then I'll feel refreshed". It was 11:30 am, so I knew that lunchtime was just around the corner.

That was the last thing I remember.

Then, all of a sudden, I woke up to a loud, crashing noise that sounded like thunder.....(little did I know but it was the noise of someone closing the next stall door!). I opened my eyes & looked at my watch....NOON!!!

I can't believe I did that! Thank God no one came looking for me :teeth:

yes - but I usually curl up under my desk...after I shut the door of course!

I'm a bank teller in a VERY SLOW bank. I was feeling so sleepy yesterday and as I was sitting here at my station I just drifted off to sleep. It wasn't a long time, but it was long enough to have a quick dream. My coworkers were laughing at me when I told them I had a dream. If only I could sleep half as well at home, LOL.

I often catch myself with heavy eyelids at work (my job is boring) but the most embarassing nap I took happened last month. Luckily it was during Thanksgiving week so not many people were here. I am nursing my baby so I make use of an empty office to take care of my "mommy duty". On this particular day I had brought my oldest daughter with me to work. She was sitting in my cube playing on my computer while I went to do my "duty". I was sooo tired so I thought I would close my eyes for a few minutes.....and woke up AN HOUR LATER :earseek: I jumped up and ran to the bathroom but I was afraid to come out of the stall because I knew I had a big mark on my face from laying on the sleeve of my corduroy dress. There was someone else in the restroom but they wouldn't leave so I had no choice but to come out of the stall. The person lurking in the restroom was my poor DD--her first question-"Did you fall asleep?" She then proceeded to tell me that while she was waiting for me she had fallen asleep on the floor of my cube :rotfl:

My 2 1/2 year old never slept more than 2-3 hours a night for the first 18 months. I drifted off at work one day and woke up in the floor. I had fallen out of my chair into the floor and never batted an eye. I had about 5 people at my office door rolling when I finally woke up. :rotfl:

YES....that's the most embarrassing part of all! Hey, you catch a few zzz's wherever you can! Luckily the facilities at work are almost Disney-esque in cleanliness

Only when I was newly pregnant. Falling asleep at the drop of a hat was the first sign I had.

Yes. I work in dimly lit rooms with a TV set. It's only natural.

Almost, when I was pregnant. I was a first grade teacher and we were doing reading. Well the child that was reading was very slow and I could feel my eyes going I had to keep shaking my head to keep awake. :wave2:

I have a recurring dream that I've fallen asleep at work.......................but no, I haven't actually slept at work.

Oh yeah, when the kids are taking a test, or when I'm grading some very boring work. On my plan time I have gone into the art office and snoozed a bit. The bell will always wake me up!

I have never fallen asleep at work before but my eyes have gotten really heavy where they close for about 3 minutes!!!!

Not at my desk, no. But when I was very pregnant, I fell asleep on the toilet, leaning against the side of the stall.

I used to work with a lady that would fall asleep at her desk all the time. We wouldn't wake her until she started snoring. It was pretty funny.

Yes several times.I work in a daycare and the toddlers sleep about two hrs.I am sitting in the dark in a rocking chair with soft music playing.VERY difficult to stay awake.

Once while delivering for a florist I got so drowsy I had to pull over. I closed my eyes thinking I'd just take a minute or 2 to rest. I woke up 1/2 an hour later when owner came on the radio wondering where I was! Another time, I was working 2 jobs. One in a very slow mini mart. I sat down in the chair and put my head down for just a sec. A regular customer came in and woke me up. Lucky it was just him, someone could have walked out with the whole inventory and I'd have never known it!

I have scared myself a time or two when I almost fell asleep in a meeting  That would be BAD.

I am glad I am not the only one to have fallen asleep on the toilet!! LOL!! I thought it was only me! They just keep it so warm in those bathrooms!!
