Last night DH went to Wal-Mart to buy diapers and some baby food (isn't it amazing how you always need more? ;) ) and while he was there he put his cell phone in his pocket WITHOUT locking the keypad.

I got several calls at home from his cell phone and I could hear background noises but no DH so I figured that he must have forgotten to lock the keypad. I kept getting calls and I was really starting to wonder how many other people he was "calling" as well.

Finally after about 15-20 minutes of this when he "called" again I just started screaming his name really loud into the phone. About a minute later DH finally pulled out his cell phone and was able to lock that darn keypad. He said it was pretty funny to be standing in the checkout line and all of a sudden hear his name being called from his pants pocket. ;)

Have you every forgotten to lock the keypad? I think I have done it maybe once or twice but DH seems to do this a lot and it is annoying to the people he calls and he is wasting lots of minutes of call time.

heh heh, as a matter of fact I got a call from a DIS friend from her cell phone when she didn't realize it. It was hilarious. I'll let her fill you in on the details.

Actually I accidently called CookieGVB1 w/out realizing it last summer but she wasn't home so my phone stayed connected for about an hour somehow before I happened to take it out of my pocket!
I've done it a couple of other times but that one is my "best", I think.

My sister did that once...at like 1am on the way home from a party.......she accidentally called my house.....and I heard their whole conversation on her way home with her BF.....it was really funny.

I never lock mine.....I don't think I know how...and isn't there a code to unlock it??? I have a nokia 3360?

DH has done it to me also. Mostly from work. I'll be able to hear the background noises and I'd try the yelling into the phone thing but it never works. I *think* I might have done it once but I'm not sure. I forgot to lock the keypad and when I looked at the screne that shows the #s you've dialed I had all kinds of insane numbers on there.

I know what you mean about the diapers and food though. We had to go out and buy some last night. Its really weird though because I know I just bought some baby food but I must have just bought some fruit thinking I had enough veggies because he didn't have any more veggies. DH doesn't understand how he goes through so much food...and diapers! He's always like, "Didn't we just buy some?"

My DH has done that before, calling home.

It's funny you mention this, this morning on the radio they had a caller who caught her boyfriend cheating on her because of this

yep and i was caught talking about them as well, I couldnt deny it cause it was recorded on their answering machine

I don't think that I've done that but just a few days ago, I got a call from a friend. I answered and never got anything on the other end. The call finally disconnected and I used the call back feature on my phone so I know I got the right number. They thought I was crazy.

My cell phone calls my sister or niece on a regular basis! It has a mind of it's own. LOL I forgot the code to lock the keypad....so....about once a week or so, I hear voices coming from my pocketbook :p

One of our sales guys accidently hit the send button on his cell phone clipped to his belt when he got into his car. I knew it was him because he was singing out loud to his car radio. :teeth:

Another time, my best friend did the same thing fumbling for her drivers license to show the cop who pulled her over for driving the wrong way down a one way street. It was funny to hear her try to talk her way out of a ticket. She was saying, "oh, I just moved her recently" and I was screaming into the phone, "SHE'S LIVED HER FOR 9 YEARS!" :p

Oh yes this happend to DH and I. We were on a little weekend getaway downtown Chicago a few summers ago. While waiting in traffic on the Mag MIle, we started fooling around:o and talking VERY VERY VERY AND I DO MEAN VERY VERY NAUGHTY to one another :o Later that evening, we invited his cousins and their so's to join us at the Signature Room. When they arrived, they were snickering and blushing so we finally asked what gives. Well, they said they and dh parents, grandmothers, aunts and uncles and their parents friends heard everything we said and did to each other on DH parents speaker phone :o :o :o :o :o
At first I did not believe it so his cousin Gerald said to call his dad and ask him. So I called ,but dh grandmother answered the phone:rolleyes:  When she heard my voice she started screaming in the phone, "YOU NEED JESUS YOU AND THAT GRANDSON OF MINE NEED JESUS I DON'T WANT PORN STARS FOR GRANDKIDS AND HUNG UP:rolleyes: :o :o Somehow dh or I hit the number 9 and dialed his folks house. Well all I can say is now when we are naughty in the SUV we turn the phone OFF

My mom does that all the time. I frequently get calls where I can hear her talking in the distance. I've done it a few times, but not too often. There's one big central button on my phone that if I press it repetitively, I call my BIL's cell phone since it's alphabetically first in my phone book. I know he thinks I'm nuts.

I admit it - I'm the one who called Snoopy from my cel - Something in my purse must've hit the buttons & called - I was on the landline talking to my Dad & I thought I heard strange sounds, but had no clue what it was!
I put my cel on the charger & almost immediatly it rang, with a woman asking who it was....I asked who she was & when she said Judi - I realized what had happened! We were rolling....

I also called Beverly Lynn from the Great Bear coaster in Hershey Park - I had my cel in my fannypack & apparently during one of the inversion, it pushed the buttons for BL - Left a 20 min. message on her answering machine.....

I just GOTTA get a phone with keypad lock! :p

DH does it to me all the time. It's pretty funny!

ps Becka...here's a sig for you...with a little one as cute as yours you need to be showing him off all the time!

LOL! You guys are cracking me up!!!! I've never done this (to my knowledge) and I almost never lock my keypad unless I'm letting neice or nephew play with the phone (don't tell my dh I do that, he thinks I lose all common sense when dealing with Hannah and Blake, and he's right, lol)
I love your story PRINCESS Ariel34. The grandmother that didn't want porn stars for grandchildren had me laughing my head off! Just so, so funny!

Lisa L - all you need to do to lock your keypad is press the menu button, then the * button. and do the exact same to unlock it. :)

Thanks for the laugh!...
My DH and DD do this all of the time!...not quite as funny as any of yours though!...

These stories are hilarious!! LOL
I just called my brother the other day w/out knowing it, but luckily I noticed and ended the call.
My 7 month old nephew called mine and DH's cell phone the other night. :teeth:
