So I was coming out of the store and a guy asked me for directions to a local place...I gave them to him and proceeded to get into my car.. As I am getting in, he pulls around and apologizes that he didn't want to bother me again, since I already gave him the directions, but wanted to know if I was single..that I was absolutely adorable...I said no, sorry.. He apologized again, and just said he had to ask...OMG he was adorable himself..looked like Seth McFarlane. That hasn't happened to me in years! I had such a bad day at work, this really ended the day well for me .:cutie:

Yes, happened to me and I agree, especially when you've had an Icky day, it can make you smile. :thumbsup2

Nothing like a little reminder that
Over worked, super moms are still Hot, :rotfl2::rotfl2:

That was really sweet!

I worked at QuikTrip in high school and my first 2 years of college.. compliments are nice, but I couldn't believe some of the nasty things people think they can say, especially to a young-ish girl.

Love it! What a great feeling that must have been especially after a rough day. :goodvibes

I feel complimented everytime I get asked for ID for a drink. I'm 41. Last time my mother was with me and she nearly busted a gut laughing when I was asked. I gave her **** for spoiling my moment. :lmao:

That is a good feeling, isn't it? I'm 36 and it still happens to me. :thumbsup2

Yes, I've had it happen. It is a wonderful feeling!!

I'm sure no one will believe me, but I know it happened and it still makes me smile to think about it. Our last WDW trip, my DD14 and I were exiting the bathrooms in Adventureland and a woman and her little boy were on their way in. He was probably about 4 years old. He stopped me and asked me if I was Cinderella! Now, for all I know, he had asked every blonde woman in the park if they were Cinderella before he got to me. I was wearing nothing like Cinderella, didn't have my hair up or anything. But it was the sweetest compliment I have ever received in my whole life.

I am complimented on my eyes and voice all the time. However, I have had soooo many guys say "How did you get your eyes that way??" I don't understand what they mean since I don't wear make-up?

:) How sweet.

that was sweet :)

my most recent compliment was on monday, some guy told me he thought my top was cool. and someone once whistled at me. it was embarrassing because i was with my mum. lol

I get complimented by strangers every once in awhile (other than the weird things guys say when I get hit on occasionally) and it is the best feeling. I try to compliment a stranger every day because it makes me feel so good to see their face light up (especially when you can tell the person is having a rough day).

Two weeks ago I got my hair cut and stopped at Costco on the way home. A stranger came up to me and told me that my hair looked beautiful! Sine I had absolutely nothing to do with the appearance of my hair, I sent a text to my hairdresser and told her. She earned the compliment, not me! ;)

It is! Odd sidenote. We used to frequent the Cheesecake Factory here. Big place, lots of seating. Over 2 years (and about 12 visits) or so we had the same table 4 times. Everytime we sat there I was aksed for ID. No other time. Different servers. I still joke that the lighting is awesome at that table. :lmao:

I think, the most memorable and sweetest compliment I've ever received was from an elderly lady. I'd had a really bad day....one of those days where nothing went right and I felt lousy (danged fibro). She walked over to tell me I had the prettiest eyes and skin she'd ever seen....that I looked like a doll.(sniff, sniff) I almost cried. She absolutely made my entire week. A kind word can mean so much:goodvibes

Yes, every now and then, and it really makes me feel good. I like to compliment other people as well because I know it makes them feel good, too.
