Have you been to DW in October??

Just a heads up...our locals schools here by Disney have our fall break the 23-26, that Friday-Monday will be extra busy.

Thanks for the heads up!! :smickey:

I am thinking about changing my plans a little. I originally thought that I would go to the Wine and Food Festival on Friday. But I think I may change it to Thursday. We arrive at the POR resort at 7:00am. I can change the MNSSHP to Friday night. Does anyone think that is a good idea? Does anyone think the party will be super crowded at MK Friday night?

Hello!

We have our trip booked for October! :cloud9:

Has anyone been to Disney World in October? I am looking for tips during this month :magnify:

How was the weather during your October experience? Day & Night.
What should I pack to accommodate October weather?

Are there any October events or activities that shouldn't be missed?
We are going to MNSSHP for the first time in MK. Any tips for that?
We were there the end of October a few years ago for the Food and Wine fest....it was HOT! we were surprised at how hot it was! locals told us it was one of the hottest Octobers they had. With the weather going crazy you can never tell...we will be there this coming October too and I'm hoping it's a little cooler then last time. When are you going? My advise is just to pack a little bit of everything! a light windbreaker type jacket and shorts along with some jeans/slacks. that way you are always ready for what comes up.
We did the MNSSHP that year too and it was FANTASTIC! the costumes some of those people wear are home made and super creative! if you have a chance to make your own do it, if not just have fun with what you've got but be sure to take lots of pictures because some of those outfits are out of this world! I would NOT miss the parade so stake out your spot early! My husband and I are going to be on our own for a whole 12 days and are still thinking about the MNSSHP...it was THAT cool!
I sort of mentioned the Epcot Food and wine fest....if you are any kind of foody you will LOVE this! check out the information blog on this because there are a TON things to do! it can get a little costly and you need to make reservations for some of the venues as quickly as you can but what a BLAST! It's the whole reason my husband and I are going!
So, just remember to pack a little of everything so you don't get caught unaware and most of all....HAVE FUN!

I would for sure go to F&W Thursday instead of Friday...Friday-Sundays at F&W are crazy! MNSSHP might be busy Friday night, but they limit how many tickets they sell, so it will be less busy than the MK on a normal day.
