Have you been to Disneyland,CA?

I went last year with my SIL and we both loved it. If it weren't for the long trip I'd do it again soon but my back was not very happy with the length of that trip, which btw was the only drawback of the whole trip. It was wonderful to visit the Original Disney park. Maybe if I can get a good price on connecting flights I'd do it again but for now I'll have to stick with WDW which is only a 2 hour flight. I also stayed 5 days thinking that would be enough but it was not. Between all the stuff to see and the crowds in the smaller park make it difficult to see everything. I had to wind up renting an ECV because my knee gave way again and its very hard to maneuver those things in big crowds. We stayed at the HOJO right across the street and it was wonderful, the staff was very friendly and helpful but the time went by too soon. Next time I'll stay for the full week to take it all in.

AP holder. Went last Thursday, taking PIL next Monday. As long as you don't go on a Saturday, its never that crowded.

I must say that the rides are better at DL then they are at the MK. I was a little disappointed with SM & WTP, SW outside theming, and very disappointed with POTC. Plus DL has Fantasmic, HISTA, Matterhorn, Indy and dinosaurs on the train ride. Plus you can walk from DL to DCA in 3 minutes.

I did like Splash, TTA, COP, Buzz, and Phil. This was my first trip to Florida, and I will be back in April(new DVC member), so understand I like both parks alot, but head to head I think DL beats MK.

I have only been once and it was a great time. It just so happened to be the movie premier of Pirates. We got to see all the stars walk down Main Street. What an amazing time. Of course the park closed early, but then they gave us free passes to California Adventure. So it really doesn't get any better than that.

It is definitely different from the World, but as long as your prepared for that you won't be disappointed. We are going for 4 days in August for our honeymoon. I'm so excited to see the 50th celebration. It's going to be amazing!

YES! That is where our love to Disney began. We lived 3 blocks from Disneyland for a few years. It was awesome. We could walk out our front door and see the fireworks each night.

We moved from California 11 years ago and haven't been back (although my DH has been back on business and told me about all the changes to the DL area). We do want to go back, but just can't see to drag ourselves away from WDW. ;)

Yes, we've been. After 30 years of WDW, it was fun to see the original.

Would love to go back and see California Adventure.

I was there just once way back in 1972. It's funny how little I remember about the park except for Its a Small World and a huge Christmas tree. The most special memory was being able to pick oranges off a tree just outside our hotel room and eating them for breakfast
