Gee thanks, k&a&c'smom, and all other LLs who've commented on my report! All I can say is you guys are great teachers -- we've learned so much by "hanging out" here with you all! ::yes::

In the spirit of contributing in my own way here, I'd consider it my honor to drink a cordial on behalf of any of the expectant mommies whenever the service is needed! :teeth: :drinking1 With the birthday of DS this summer, we passed that 10 yr mark since #3 joined our happy family and well... there's just no turning back (at least I hope not)!!! :genie:  :rotfl:

Thank you all for your advice. Its why I posted the question here. We haven't stayed concierge level at Disney before and I knew the Lizards would know the answer!!

Yes, we DO have a nice dinner set up, which is why the friends will be at the resort to begin with. :) I just wasn't sure if the lounge was an okay place to gather - the lobby is beautiful and a fine place to meet, as well, and that is what we will undoubtedly do. I certainly didn't mean to imply that we would be bringing a gang in to eat and drink the night away. There's three people, none of whom have been to the lodge before, and yes, of course I'd ask the CL CMs before bringing anyone in.

Sorry if this sounds defensive. I've stayed concierge in some hotels where this isn't an issue, but they are typically hotels that cater to business people and not families.

I should've had another shot from that coffee machine before posting this morning. ;)

Congratulations to all the new mommies and I hope everyone who has been ill is feeling better, too (for me, its been shingles - yuck).

Susan

MNSusan, I understand your situation but the concierge is not set up for people to entertain outside guests. I think bringing three people in there is not the best way to go - I believe there is a lovely bar at AKL that you all could enjoy before your dinner. Most other concierge level lounges outside of WDW that I've been at were also only for the people paying for concierge, not their guests. Our party is split up between one room that is concierge and one that is not (because we are going on the sunset safari and the other person comes later) and we will not be inviting her into the lounge (or bringing anything out of the lounge for her) the days she is there out of respect for the other paying guests.

lindseyspol , if you cannot find the flu shot before the date your kids are scheduled to get theirs, you might want to call their doctor and explain you are pregnant and see if they will also schedule you. Good luck!!

Putting out some small puffs of filo dough stuffed with cream cheese and some Earl Grey tea and strawberries for all LL!

First of all Congrats to eveeryone expecting. My boss and his wife just had a girl-8lbs 6 oz 21 in long. She was a BIG girl.

I need to thank the ones who twisted my arm (:teeth: ) to get the Deluxe room at the Boardwalk-TA got it set up today!!!! I am excited and it is over a year away. Alana sent me a room layout so now I can figure out how to decorate for Christmas! Yes I am obsessed! Also called the school today just to make sure it was ok for DD to be gone. I was worried after reading some posts on the issue but when they asked what grade she was going to be in next year and I said 2nd, she even laughed a little and said it happens all of the time, no problems, just let the teacher know ahead of time to get homework ready!! Now I am good to go!

... to BambiTamby for the wonderful new clippie  and to my dear GoofyJoofy for his technical help in setting me up! Glad to have you back home, dear!!:teeth: :love2:

GoofyJoofy - really great pics. Beautiful kids!

I love seeing all the characters. The green army men are really neat looking.

To all who need pd, consider it sent.

I'm feeling better. My DGD and DD are on the way over. We're going to start scrapbooking. Wish me luck!!:chat:

Wonderful, wonderful pictures!! Thank you - got me all excited, thinking about my kids seeing some of their favourites, too!

Love,

Kris

GoofyJ and Muse -

Your kids have the greatest smiles! They could be doing Disney commercials! It looks like you had a fabulous time. We leave a week from today!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

GoofyJoofy/Muse - Your pictures are great, and you have a beautiful family!! Like mine, but in reverse - I had two boys, then was surprised by a girl!;) Your pictures remind me so much of our first trips, when the kids were younger. Now, the guys all think they're "tired" of WDW!! Enjoy every minute, it goes by so very quickly!!!::yes::

sfbank - LOL!! DD has been out of school several days every year for WDW!! Her school just expects it, now - her teachers say "hey, aren't you going to WDW?":p

GoofyJoofy The pictures are great! The kids' smiles say it all. I so remember the days of going with my children. Now it is awesome going with them as adults with their children!!

I posted on the Parks and Attractions forum that I was cancelling my cruise and someone got it!!:Pinkbounc I was so happy that someone was able to book it. It gave me a very good feeling.

k&a&c's mom--That seems like a great "problem" to have!!:teeth: Maybe someday we will have that same "problem" with our teachers!! I would love for the teachers to start asking when we were going again!!!:hyper:

sfbank - LOL!! Yes, that's not such a bad problem to have, as problems go!:) And, at least the teachers don't tell us "What, Disney again? Aren't you tired of it yet?!" *sigh* Some people will never get it!

I was coordinating holiday schedules with my sister yesterday and I told her that we weren't going to be around for one of the weekends in December. She asked me where we were off to and I just sort of looked at her. Her response was, "not Disney again". We have them convinced to do a big family trip down there in the summer of 2007, but she's basically turned all the planning over to me. Her family is really into camping and we always stayed at Fort Wilderness when we were little. I just don't know how to break it to her, that while they'll be camping, we'll be in the nearest concierge lounge.

On a side note, I went ahead and made the change to our arrival date. My TA was able to get me the discounted rate for the additional night, so that worked out very well. We won't be getting in until 11 o'clock so I don't think we'll be able to take advantage of private check in. I'm guessing that the CM's who work the concierge desk are done at 10pm, but there probably won't be much of a crowd at the regular registration desk that late at night.

I finished up shopping for the items that I wanted to have placed under the Christmas tree in our room. Gifts of a Lifetime has the cutest pink Princess santa hat. I ordered that for my DD today. As soon as everything arrives, Amy said to send it down to them and they'll take care of putting it into the room for me. Now all I have left is to design sweatshirts for our MVMCP night. I can't believe this vacation is going to be here before we know it.

Oldest DD is home from college for the weekend, so we are off to spend the day in spooky Salem tomorrow. We have so much fun visiting there around Halloween.

Have a nice holiday weekend everyone.
