Well, I am already impressed with the AKL pre-planning staff. Today I was thrilled to find an envelope addressed to the "O'Brien Safari" in the mail. It contained our pre-planning itinerary info sheet, info on the special activities at AKL, an AKL newsletter, a sheet where we could select any items we would like stocked in our fridge, and a neat little guide to the World. I've never received something like this in the past before I have contacted the CL myself. What a nice surprise! I think I'm gonna like this place.

GoofyJoofy~ I have eaten at Palio's (2x), bluezoo and Fresh. I liked all 3 - we had breakfast at Fresh. Bluezoo is pricey but the food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. I don't think I would do Fresh again b/c we usually just go to the Lobby Lounge and get coffee and croissants for breakfast to bring back to the room while all are getting ready to start the day. However, this trip we thought we would treat ourselves. Come on over to the sorority house (just look for Dreamflight99 thread) and ask away anything you want to know about the S/D.

I've been lurking long enough time to join in We love the CL at the Polynesian and AKL. We have an upcoming trip (12 days away). We are staying 5 nights at the Polynesian LVC (we will be here on our 10th anniversary ) 4 at the BC and then 2 nights at the AKL-CL. I love ending our trips at the AKL

And I agree, the AKL CL is a fabulous way to end a WDW vacation!
Their IPO is up there with the YC/BC/BWI IPO....no doubt!

KerryCM...DH and I are STILL thinking about doing the BWI garden suite for either our 10th or the marathon.
We really loved it there! Jackie, Robin, Scott made us feel so welcomed and they are truely into "pampering" their guests!
Tell them I said HI! and that I think the world of them! They are a super bunch over there!!!!

GoofyJoofy...one of these days, you need to try the S/D CL.
Love those beds at the S/D!!!! And the suites aren't too shabby either!

I am going to try and join this thread. I have tried to read a few previous posts, but there are alot of unfamiliar short forms etc. I am hoping I'll figure it out as I go along!! My family and I (me, DH and DS 3) will be visiting WDW for the first time in Feb '05. We will be staying 3 nights AKL concierge and 3 nights Poly concierge. We are then moving on to the Wonder for a 4 night cruise. Unfortunately we could not swing concierge for that one, but are praying for an opportunity to upgrade at the port - however I'm not hanging my hat on that one! Anyway, I am SO looking forward to this trip and all the great things I have heard about both resorts and the concierge offerings. I imagine as we get closer to trip time I will have all kinds of ?s for you "Lizard Loungers".

I think she'll enjoy "camping" at the Poly! The Tiki torches can be her campfire.

Okay, BT, a full scale LL meet - THAT[/B] might be what I need to ensure I heal 100%! I had a little accident one the "back 40" of my property today. I went for a walk a little too early in my healing days and got stuck in mud. Let's hear for my big baby Boxer who rescued me - it took 3 showers to get all the mud and creepy crawlies off me. So glad I see Doc tomorrow

If you need any help planning, count me in, we could probably shut down WDW with all the CL LLs !

I'll let you know results of visit as soon as I return!

Hooray for Alana! I now have an Illuminations cruise for Saturday, Oct. 16th! I am so excited. My husband has never done one and it will be a big surprise for him. Alana has been awesome. The e-mail responses have been so prompt, I am very impressed.

My daughter Suzanne and her husband Josh (who just returned from being deployed) have had to postpone their Sept. trip because Josh needs knee surgery. I told her to rebook for when we are down in Oct. I hope they do, then they can do the cruise with us!!!!

Well, I emailed Poly last friday and they called about an hour later! I can't remeber who I talked to, but it wasn't Melissa. She pulled up the emial and said that Melissa had looked at it. My 90 day date is July 31, so I hope they get me the Illuminations cruise that I want. I gave them 3 different days to try for.

The CM that I talked to did say that she was glad that I contacted them. I booked through MouseEars Vacations and when you book through a TA or on line, your contact information does not get downloaded in to their computer. She was telling me that there are hundreds of people that they can't contact, because they don't have the information on them.

Hi guys I was wondering if anyone has had trouble with the WL Concierge staff getting in contact wiht you before you leave.?

We are just over 60 days before getting there and we have not heard a peep . I have left a message with the vacation planner about my needing a ressie to Scuba in the Living Seas while there . nothing back yet ???

Also I stayed there back in Oct03 and they had bottled water to take to the park with me nice and half frozen I keep hearing they dont offer it anymore to take with you and then I heard from someone who just wen t in June that they did have it . Anyone know for sure?

BWI CL Rules! Just wish we could've spent more time there We made the most of it, though! I wish you could've all been there when we walked into our room:

Balloons, a personalized cake, party "blowers", Mickey confetti, personalized Mickey photos for both girls, a candle and book of matches (talk about covering all the bases...)

Costumes laid out on the beds:

Snow White costume and wig for DD (7); box of chocolates as well as choc. coins and BWI pin;

Cinderella costume and "accessory set" (gloves, purse, etc.) for DN (6) and chocolates and pin.

My niece didn't notice the costume at first - she ran straight to the balloons/cake/etc....turned around and saw DD w/ Snow White wig on...looked on the bed and saw her "pile" and SQUEALED in delight!! My sister-in-law burst into tears and just couldn't believe it!
Alana is the best!! I couldn't believe the attention to detail - it MADE my niece's bday - and our trip~ She even had my receipts in an envelope for me!
The Lounge was so beautiful and Pete is Disney service at its finest - I couldn't get over this sweet, enthusiatic man
Needless, to say, we had a fabulous trip and I cannot wait to get back to BWI CL again S-O-O-N!
