He is great, as are the rest of the cast there. So glad everything was set in your room. i have been working with Alana and she has been so wonderful. I can't wait for my trip. How was your room? I had a less than wonderful experience with the WL IPO.

E-mails and phone calls went unreturned, e-mails came that didn't answer my questions and were filled with spelling errors.

I had to book several things myself and would have lost out on one particular thing had I not called myself to reserve it.

Melissa is great but she doesn't work every day.

Good luck. I don't know what else to tell you.

well, I have just been reading all of your posts and thought that I'd invite myself in (considering that I've stayed at the AKL CL back in September!)

I have many photos and great memories of staying there. Do we want to go back? duh!

However, before we do, I'll be going down in October and staying in the Dolphin CL. (yes, we're hooked!)

Can't wait until we get the opportunity to take our grandson down and show him the AKL!

BIG GIANT WAVE! We're back!

Had a lovely running amuck time at the Dolphin CL with the sorority sisters, followed by transferring to AKL CL four our third concierge visit there where we were comped the ENTIRE FOURTH FLOOR! ok, just kidding, but that is what Disbug said! I have letters to write to Disney for all of the wonderful experiences at AKL concierge! Oh, its great to be remembered, too!

WESLEY AND MIKE! YOU ROCK! Yes, my family was upgraded to a two bedroom suite! We had the exact same suite (one floor under) as is in Janet2k's reports which was the reason I originally went concierge at AKL. To make the irony stick.... in the concierge lounge, undercover on a secret mission... we met two dis'ers! Both wonderful ladies, and while chatting with them my phone kept ringing, which meant one thing.. Disbug needed to be let up to our floor! Where else can you go on vacation and feel so comfortable that you have guests visiting in your suite? I love the DIS! I also want to send a big thank you to Karen Jean who always has a greeting for us on our first day, Tanya (from Kalamazoo? ack my memory is failing!) and Ann. Tipton from Bell services who had to move our luggage TWICE... THANK YOU! As always, the team at AKL is all wonderful and I have never had a bad experience that would ruin even a minute of my day.

I only read back three pages... Goofyjoofy, I am a member of both the sorority and here if you have any questions! Our first rush week was a success! Alice, I toasted to you at tea where I met Dreamflight and Mouseteacher and Jgates! (I had met Disbug earlier in the trip). JGates and her DD, Disbug and her DD and my son and I did E night Friday night and we had a riot together!)

I MUST get some laundry done! Missed you guys! Good luck with your LL meet. I am so glad we had our sorority meet!

KerryCM Do you know that I have never seen Carousel of Progress? Anyway, Pete was just the most wonderful soul...we ran into him in the hallway as we were trying to find our room and he was so friendly, upbeat and helpful in telling us exactly where to go and that they were looking forward to seeing us in the lounge; later that evening he insisted on getting me a fridge for the room and came out with 2 huge bottles of Vitel (what a treat, especially after buying 2 bottles of water for $3.50 each out of the GF minibar one evening ); we also noticed a couple thanking him for his recommendation of the coffee in Marrakesh! We got such joy from his kindness and enthusiasm -

I have been to GF many times; AKL CL and regular; WL - loved them ALL but I was completely THRILLED with BWI- the IPO planning (again, Alana is amazing), the location, the decor is RIGHT up my alley , the CL Lounge was gorgeous and the food offerings were beautifully presented and delicious. I just love it there
We were in room 4232 which was RIGHT NEXT to the lounge I had requested non-smoking and told Alana I'd love to be close to the lounge and would love a view of Epcot - said it would also be fun to overlook the Boardwalk - didn't matter where the room was really. Well, we had a perfect view of "The Eiffel Tower" and were a few steps from the lounge - pretty perfect, I'd say
Once I showed DH the dig. photos of the Lounge and told him there were the carnival-style "shooting hoops" games right outside on the Boardwalk, he is THERE I can't wait to show him the place...maybe right before Christmas

johnsonet That is the exact same room I had my first time there. I told k&a&c's mom that would be a good room for her since she has trouble walking and her daughter sprained her ankle recently. I am so happy you had a good time there. It is the only place I will stay now. The cast just makes you feel so welcome. The IPO is the best in getting right back to you, no matter who you deal with.

#1hockeymom welcome back!! So glad you had a great trip. Did you daughter's BF have a good time? Can't wait to hear all about the trip.

VAgal...is doing OK. No one was hurt, (thank goodness!) but things have been very hectic for her and her family. She sends her love to all!

Alana has been a gem! I sent her a couple of thank-you gifts for all the wonderful things she does for us!

We walked past one day and the doors were open and I haven't been able to get the image out of my head ever since It looked too divine for words - imagine 4 uproarious Southern girls in there whooping it up! Pitchers of Spoodles sangria all 'round!!

(How difficult is this suite to get? Have you heard any stats? I would want it for a long weekend in Jan or Feb)

WELL, after the day I Had yesterday, I need to get together with some good old Dis girls, excuse me ladies, and have a Grand Old Time at the BWI CL. Thanks for thinking of me Bambi - YOU ARE SO SWEET.

Not to put a damper on things, but I DID promise to let y'all know my doc results. Not too good The damage was more extensive then the doc had anticipated, BUT he didn't have the time to do a knee replacement then. Shock of all shocks - he did apologize to me. He said that I must have been in agony all these months - I cracked apart my patella and lost a big chunk of it. So right now I'm bone on bone. The good news is I get to recoup for a year then go for new ceramic knees. He says I can travel though.

So Ladies - start your engines and lets start planning.

Welcome "home" johnsonet and hockeymom!! Glad your trips were fantastic.

Thanks to those of you who are keeping our family in your thoughts. I really appreciate it. I'm on strict bedrest indefinitely. Fortunately, DH is on vacation right now. Without going into too much detail, both the baby and myself are at extreme risk. We're being thankful for each day that we make it through. As it stands, we're scheduled for weekly visits with two different specialists.

I will continue to come here (when I can) to get my dose of "DIS" cheer. Not sure when we'll be going back to WDW, but it will be great when we do!!!

that is my favorite suite in all of Walt Disney World. Just love the decor.

I thought I'd pop in for just a second to say that I got to meet #1hockeymom in the AKL's Kilimanjaro Club lounge the other day. I was sitting in a chair talking to someone when she walked up and said that I looked awfully familiar and asked if we had met before. I told her that we hadn't, but then my partner in crime mentioned the word "Dis" and that was all it took for #1hockeymom to figure out who I was -- my cover was blown (hee hee).

I must state how nice #1hockeymom is. It was so much fun spending a little time with her that evening (I got to see her beautiful suite, too). And her son and daughter are just as nice as can be. I can tell that she is a wonderful mother to them both. What a truly lovely family. I hope I get to "bump" into you again on a future WDW vacation, Debbie!

Best of luck. I, too, was on bedrest as I was a very high risk. I suffered from HELLP and ended up delivering Brittany at 29 weeks.
