BUT I had a lot of meal coupons to use (leftover) with only 3 days left on my trip. So, I did things the Disney way. I took total strangers to breakfast, lunch and dinner - some of these people I still keep in touch with

mmausse...you are such a dear! What a generous heart you have!

YCFAN...nothing like a "glitch" to leave a bad taste for a resort!
I'm sure we'll get over our Poly "fiasco" just as we did our Spring break YC CL "glitch" with them giving away our room! ACK!
But, they did fix it right away with a BC CL room and some nice comps. That's how I got to stay at the BC CL!
And...it's a nice CL also! Can't wait to take mom there in less than a week and a half! YIPPEE!

And, looking forward to trying our the 14th floor CR!

Gotta, get back to BWI CL soon though! That was a FIRST CLASS place, my friends!
And ....I'm doing everything in my power NOT to add another AKL CL night or two to this trip.....speaking of,
I hope Debbie is having fun with her little baby ankole!

BambiTamby: I've been really wanting to try BWI CL too. I've seen pictures and I think it really looks great!!

mmausse I absolutely love it when people do things like that. I gave away a few things during our last trip and I love seeing people react to it. Sometimes almost disbelief. Just think what better moods everyone would be in if every person in WDW did something for the next guy just once a day. You're a special gem.

ValerieK - I have had trouble getting Poly IPO to respond to calls, too, but they respond pretty quickly to email. I've called twice since booking a couple weeks ago, but no return call, but I always get a response from email. As much as I adore the Poly, that is one area they need to work on. I sometimes think Melissa is the only IPO employee they have right now, as she is the only cm who responds! She is a treasure, though! (I have to add, she did mention my last phone call in her message, mentioning that she noticed I had also sent an email, and that she'd be glad to call if I wished. I like her very much, she's a sweetheart.)

YCFAN - Very sorry to hear of your disappointing trip to the Poly, but loved your report about HRH's suite! Wow! Your trip reports were a very enjoyable read.

I have to agree with KerryCM and BT - BWI CL is fantastic! Of course, I haven't stayed there yet, but their front-work is really great. We decided to wait a little before booking any PS's, etc., as I wanted to make sure we wouldn't have to cancel, therefore wasting their hard work again. But, over this past weekend, someone from the BWI IPO called and left a message for me to call when I needed something. Monday, I received another call from Annalisa, asking if they could do anything for me. Talk about service, I felt like I was their only guest! We discussed some of my plans, and she helped make PS decisions, annnnnd *drum-roll* she booked us an Illuminations cruise! Wow! When I asked if they could check on the cruise, I told her I was sure it was all booked up at this point, never expected to get it. What a great surprise for DD, I'm very impressed with BWI IPO!! Couldn't ask for better service, can't wait to get there now!

k&a&c's mom : Good for you on getting the Illuminations cruise. Amy got us the Breathless with just 3 days before our vacation began! You'll have such a good time on the cruise and seeing the fireworks from the water is a great experience. GOOD FOR YOU!!!

YCFAN - thank you, we - I mean I, since DD doesn't know yet! - am very excited, never done a fireworks cruise before! Can't wait! We had planned a somewhat quiet trip, in the circumstances, but now I have something to jump up-and-down about! It's really nice to have something to look forward to.

ask away any questions about Sugarloaf! we stayed there three nights, then went to Royal Palm, then decided to extend our stay another two nights and we decided to go back to the Loaf cause we loved it so much! we missed our Zena and our Norma LOL.

Norma said "Oh yeah, we're da bomb." LOL she is right, they are!

i hope we get to stop in to say hi to her, we actually have kept in touch through emails since my trip so we'll have to say hi to her!

thanks for the welcome lounge lizards! even tho we're not doing concierge this trip (quickly planned trip, azz codes LOL) my heart still lives at the Loaf!

so they won't let you move in permanently eh? well, 31 days sounds pretty good to me! how sweet of them to send you soup like that, they have GREAT chicken soup at the grand!

Yes, the YC has a separate check in for concierge guests. The IPO planner will send you a key to use in the elevator for access to the fifth floor. Don't even stop in the front lobby. Walk straight to the elevator and go up to the fifth floor. When you get off of the elevator some one at the desk will greet you and you just give your name. It's never taken me more than 5 minutes to get checked in and it may just be a miracle but my room has always been ready, anywhere from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm!!

I would love to know more about SL. We did RPC for our honeymoon 7 years ago, but due to our lack of knowlege also did the full meal plan so we used the lounge for all of 1 time on our checkout day (yes, I could just kick myself now!)

Anyway, we are returning for 5 nights the first of Dec. and have RPC booked followed by AKL--they blew us away last time. Now, I'm wondering if we should just do SL. Do you have castle views there? What is the lounge like? Any pix? Just trying to justify the difference in price--yes, we know about wine but we're trying for #3 so hoping I won't be having any this trip!

awwwwwwwww, how exciting! my daughter and i were both FL babies! *giggle*

Having stayed in both, i MUCH preferred SL. i don't drink so i didn't notice the difference in the snacks.

the cast at SL was so much warmer than the cast at RP. I just loved the atmosphere overall so much better there.

i'm trying to get my huge trip report (41 pages in Word! ) up onto my website, lots of details in it, will let you know soon as its up! i'm working on it now.

Just a bad time, they've been having! No serious injuries though!

August lizard Poly mini-meet is finally shaping up! Bambi Tamby & I have reserved a fireworks cruise following dinner at Ohana's on Weds. Aug 4. The cruise will leave the Poly marina around 9 PM and lasts for about an hour, so we would still make it to e-ride night. We have room for four more lizards, cajunfan & twinsmomplusone! Please PM me if you would like to join us. I need to give IPO a final head count so they can have enough soft drinks and such, so let me know as soon as you can.

k&a&c's mom Congrats on the Illuminations Cruise. We went on one in May, they are so wonderful. I am hoping for on for our Oct. Trip.


The BC/YC IPO was so wonderful. I always had great communication with them. They were always prompt in getting back to you. They came through on all the requests I made. It was a great trip.
