and I agree that we all owe our servicemen/women a big thanks and many prayers to stay safe.
I got an email today from our travel agent from Small World Vacations..... she sent our info to the WL Concierge staff to let them know that we had paid our deposit on our ressies..... wow... I am so excited....

I am hoping that between the TA and WL concierge we can get all the PS we want (namely CRT and maybe Illuminations cruise). I already have PS for HDDR and Spirit of Aloha. I can see us going from eat to eat which suits me just fine. :teeth: \

Just thought I'd share about the ever so exciting but still early phase of our new WL C experience.

Kalen

LovesDumbo - Thank you soo much for the info :chat: I had looked at Song's web site yesterday or the day before and the prices were what I was paying or more :earseek:

After seeing your post, I checked again and the flight TO Orlando is cheeper. :bounce:

Alas, we have a package booked through a travel agent, and she just left for an extended weekend. :scared1:
I'll have to wait until she returns on Thursday, which is the day we pay the balance of our August trip. :thewave:

Kalen - First, Welcome to the Lounge!
If you will be using concierge and you are before the 90 days, they will be able to help you make your dreams come true.

We are staying BC CL, and the CMs suggested to me that we do CRT and Illuminations. I thought my DDs were too old for that (11 & 13). After casually talking about it, I had to call CL back and ask if they could change my CRT Lunch to the CRT Breakfast with the Princesses. And they got it on the day we wanted at the time we wanted. They do an awesome job.
We declined the Illuminations cruise based on our touring plans and PS.

Happy 4th to all of you! Yes, we are definitely remembering our service men and women...those who have died, those still fighting and those returning home. Hugs & Kisses to those brave souls!

Welcome to the lounge, Kalen! Pull up a comfy chair and stick around for tips, hints and fun. Don't worry about getting the PS and other activities, IPO will probably have more pull than the TA.

Yes, a dismeet is definitely in order. I won't be able to get down any sooner than next summer. I want so desparately to go in May 2005, but DH doesn't want to take our DS and his sister out of school (my SIL is only 16). I vote that if they have good attendance and good grades, let's go! We may even have to wait until July 2005 so we do not conflict with MIL trip to Costa Rica in June. She doesn't have firm dates yet as to when she will be travelling in June so I'm throwing ideas out and putting down on paper where we want to eat, which park to go on which days and most importantly, WHICH CONCIERGE ROOM/SUITE TO BOOK.

Maybe I should just book a small trip for myself...then it would be a complete GIRLS only PJ Lounge party! A long weekend perhaps...we shall see. Where is my tiara??? I can't seem to find it...uuuggghhh! I guess I'll have to get another one - LOL!

I finally got the photos together...it should go faster next time since I know what I'm doing now. So enjoy!

Surf school... COOL! How did your son like it? Looked like a lot of fun!

Happy Fourth of July, everyone! I reiterate what everyone else said about remembering WHY we have this holiday, and to please remember our service men and women who are still on watch.

wanting to help us with PS'ings and the such. Our trip is scheduled for 2005 and I think Michelle (IPO) is thinking 2004 and probably stressing. I called back yesterday and had to leave a message so I emailed them this AM to let them know that we have a year to get it all done not 6 days. Is it strange to hear from them a year out or are they thinking 2004? Hey, at least I got a call from them. I hope they send me some info, although I think I know what all I want it's just a matter of fitting it all in and getting it all to mesh and make sense. Hopefully they can help me get it sorted into a smooth plan. :rotfl: That's what we lacked this year.... all our PS's were all over the place and we would have park hopped and spent all out time on WDW busses to do it all. But, I didn't know about the DIS long enough to get it done right. :teeth:

Hope you all are having a great 4th. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_14_2.gif' border=0></a>

BT: Congrats on the 14th floor. What a score... even a newbie can see that!!!!!

My first post in this thread but just have to jump in...I have read all 59 pages over a few days and really enjoyed it.

I am afraid I too am a lounge lizard.

I am leaving in two weeks for the Poly. Its me, my daughter Chloe (17) and my niece Amanda (4) and her brother Alex (6). This will be our second trip to the Poly concierge but we have been to many other Disney hotels many times.

Unfortunately my husband has to stay home and work and when that came up he insisted we stay at the Poly as planned...says it will be easier for me with the little ones (and he is right)!

I can't wait to get back. My very favorite thing is to sit on the balcony and watch the world wake up and go to sleep. I almost have to tear myself from the view! But I am this trip. We have APs and a niece who has never been and knows that Aunt Liz takes you when you turn 4! She is ready.

I have lots of PS planned as well as the Princess Tea for Amanda and Chloe and the pirate cruise for Alex.

I am sure I will be sharing more as the days progress!

Liz

Shhhh its a secret

Can't believe it we are about to put a deposit down for GF for THIS December!?

We haven't even been to WDW once yet, and here we are planning to go again. :earseek:

Are we nuts or what?!?

We want to do MVMCP, Candle Light Procession & Osborne Lights.

Anyone use the GF Spa services? Thinking of treating my 2 DDs (11 & 13) to mini-facial for teen girls. What do you think? Just the princess: princess: topping to a special surprise trip?

Have to think of something for me and DS to do while the 3 girls (DW & 2 DDs) do the facial. What do you think a fishing excursion? :boat:

Oh by the way... - I think I would look silly in princess PJs, with slippers, crown & crystal glasses :jester:

GoofyJoofy, you are not nuts at all! The allure of Disney when it's all decked out for the holidays is something no mere mortal can resist! ::yes:: (At least that's what I keep telling myself on our yearly trips to the World in December, LOL). December (as long as it's before the Christmas rush starts) really is an ideal time to visit the World. The weather is generally pleasant (my best advise is to pack for any type of weather (I have been every December since 2000, and I have worn shorts some days, and needed a coat and gloves on other days--also never listen to the forecast too closely--they are often wrong). Plus, the crowds tend to be pretty light, and there is something extra magical about WDW in December. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the Osborne Lights are fantastic! Believe it or not, I've never seen the entire Candlelight Processional, but it's on the list for our upcoming trip. Plus, the spa treatments and the fishing excursion sound like wonderful ideas. ::yes:: When are you looking at going? We will be there Nov. 28 - Dec. 4. :)

 Welcome to the Lizard Lounge, Traveliz! You sound like one cool aunt! ::yes::

I love the plans you've made, and I think the Poly is a wonderful choice when traveling with young kids. Your princess tea sounds lovely too! I look forward to hearing more about your plans. :)

Good Morning All - I've started the coffee and put out some tasty treats. Ya'll enjoy.

Traveliz - Welcome to the Lounge. Wow, what a nice treat for you to give your Niece & Nephew. I remember back in 1969, when my Aunt took my sister and I to Washington DC. It is still a special memory for me.

Oh Elizabeth - I can't believe I forgot to put in the dates. We are planning to be there 12/9 - 12/12. We (DW and I) are sooo excited :hyper: but I don't want to add a counter, in case my kids take a peek while I check the LL. :rotfl:

Thanks for the welcome!

I am so excited for this trip but a bit sad my husband can't come. We have taken nieces and nephews several times - sometimes with their parents; sometimes without. Alex went with us two years ago and at that time his sister was two and we told her when she was four she got to go to Disney with us.....well who says they don't remember!!! as when her bday rolled around all she would say is that she is four and she gets to go to DisneyWolrd now!

My husband lost his job last year unexpectantly (same company 25 years) and fortunately got on with a large earth moving company located here within a month but he really doesn't have vacation to use now. Orginally we planned this during their normal shut down time so he could go but this year they are not shutting down very many areas! So anyway Chloe and I decided to go on ourselves with the kids.

We are driving from Central Illinois in my full size van. I am a little nervous about that but it should be ok. We packed goodie bags for the kids last night. They will sign our "Florida Fun Contract" and we will be off on the 16th.

I have been using IPO for the PS and we have our traditional Crystal Palace for lunch our first full day (don't you love traditions!), CRT for breakfast, Le Cellier one day for lunch (had their steakburger over Memorial Day weekend and it is soooo good!), 1900 for dinner one night and then 1900 for breakfast the morning we leave for home (another tradition). Chloe and I have APs and the kids will have 5 day hoppers.

We have the kids booked for the Neverland Club one night (might add a second) so we can go to Comedy Warehouse and shopping.

Our non park day Chloe and Amanda are doing the Princess Tea and Alex the pirates cruise. I realize there is a bit of a price disparity there but he doesn't! I bought Chloe and Amanda complimenting colorwise dresses for the tea. They will look so cute together!

We might also try and get in Cirque our arrival day ... I want to wait and just see how we feel and if we can get in fine; if not that is fine too. The resort deal where you get a half price ticket when you purchase and adult full price ticket is a great deal I think.

And the pressing question...how did I become a lounge lizard.... I would have to say LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Our first trip to the Poly concierge I was mesmerized by the view. I sat on my balcony every possible moment to soak in that view. I love watching the monorail start up and circling the lagoon, the ferries, the boats; I love hearing the train whistle from across the way and the sounds of Haunted Mansion. It is all so enchanting. We have planned a couple of nights in the room for the fireworks from there and I suspect I will be up early and up late for my balcony time!

Where's he and Donna been lately?
Missing our Poly Lizards!:love1:

DS downloaded something from a game channel...so our computer crashed yesterday afternoon...and it's been a real treat having to reload and clean up the mess.
He now knows better to go to those darn game sites!

Kerry...I re-read your question, but don't understand it.
please PM me for assistance, OK?:D

Grabbing a coffee and bagel as I head out!
(Thanks GoofyJoofy for this morning's offerings!):wave2:
