Good afternoon everyone!!!

So glad to here everyone had a great and safe holiday!!

DF The party sure sounded like a blast!! I can't wait 'til We can do those kinds of things for our children! DS 5 and DD4. It will be a while but I guess I can wait! (don't want them to grow up to fast.)

WR your still in my thoughts..

Gotta go.. Going to see Alison Krauss and Cold Mountian, anyone here of them?? Not sure if they are my thing but I'll let you know in the morn'.

:wave2:

Hey, folks!

DF - I'm so glad the party was a blast!

Woodysroundup - I'm still thinking of you. Keeping only positive thoughts in my head right now. I know the wait must be torture at this point. But you seem to pull on strengths in moment of weakness you know! to you!

Tammy - I'm glad to hear of your Mom's improvement, too. Breathless cruise - very cool!!!

inthemood - ALISON KRAUSS - Gosh, I'll go with you! I absolutely LOVE her voice. I believe she is more bluegrass than country though. I'd still steal a chance to go see her. We have a bluegrass festival close to our home and I missed her when she came! I'm still waiting for her to come back around - LOL!

Does the BWI & Poly have 2 bdrm suites? I was starting to think about it for a future trip. You know, the trip where I whisk my MIL away to the world to be treated like the queen she is! I'm thinking both resorts have 2 bdrm suites, but want to confirm. I really want to keep CL instead of doing home away home. Shame on me, huh? I'm trying to get one for 6 people, possibly 7 (infant - possibly). Maybe I should also consider two different rooms.....oh, the possibilities!

I've been reading up on you lounge lizards for a while now.....and you all are the reason why me my family will be staying concierge for the first time in september at the akl.

Best part about it is, that I didn't even have to talk my husband into it price wise. I just told them they have food out during the day and everything from there was all :teeth: :teeth: if you get my drift.

Someone had pics of the one bedroom suite:tongue: ....... I would love to stay in one :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Does anyone know if you can upgrade to a suite upon check-in? and Is the cost the diffrence from what I would already be paying for my concierge room? or Would it be alittle less?

BambiTamby let me just say you must be the princess: of concierge lol :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

DF - Sounds like your DD and her friends had a BLAST!!!:Pinkbounc What a wonderful hostess you are! Thought I'd ask, you mentioned a few days ago this was an early party, and you have a "lion-baby." If you mean a Leo, I have three of those myself! Yep, all three born to the lion-sign! Birthday parties around here aren't as elaborate as yours, but they come three-in-a-row, so I'm usually beat, too!
You are RIGHT~ON! She's PURE 100% LEO! Such a great sign, you are indeed fortunate with THREE! I just am wiped-out after the party....I could never imagine THREE~IN~A~ROW (Gasp). :faint: Although, I must attest...they are much "easier" now in many ways. The kids do not need monitoring or constant distractions/games...they are content doing their own thing together. DH & our friends are able to sit and relax as well. Especially with Catering...makes it SO much easier!! :teeth: Her Birthday is late August...and we'll still be in the WORLD then~! She's in for a few more "surprises" with regards to her Birthday...she has no idea. :goodvibes

goodferry ~Just "yesterday"...DD was "12." :( WHERE did those 5 years go? Have fun on your ORLANDO visit!! :hyper: I'm right behind you. Any chance you could "extend" your stay 'till mid-July?!

Tammy ~Wow...hope all is better with your Mom. :worried: Please, let me know how everything is going. You KNOW you are in my heart and prayers!

To my Dear SISTA BambiTamby ~YES!! DD's party was definitely a HAPPY day!! The kids are so fun to chat with now...they reveal their hopes/dreams and plans for the future. I'd love to bottle all of them, and open them years later! In fact, next year...I'll do just that on her 18th~! I'll have a TIME BOTTLE...where they can fill out little sheets on their dreams/desires/goals, etc. We'll seal it...and bury it in the yard. We'll set a "date" to dig~up the bottle...and check the notes a few years down the line. They will LOVE the idea. They enjoy these annual get-togethers, and have been attending DD's birthday celebrations for the past 12 years! It is quite a BASH, creating precious memories for all to carry with them. ;)

disneyholic family~So sorry about the trouble with DL concierge. Please, contact them asap...and let us know the results. I love these resorts, and have never experienced a problem.

inthemood~Oh, to have a little ones is so much fun! Those parties are so great, as ANYTHING will please them at those ages (LOL).
I LOVE Alison Krauss!! In fact, she sings my #1 favorite version of the DUMBO lullabye...BABY O' MINE! Makes me CRY every time I hear it. Have a FAB time...and ask her to sing it (if she doesn't) when she asks for requests! She's a SWEETIE! Enjoy the eve. :sunny:

VAgal76~Yes...it was WILD, that's for sure!! :hyper: So glad to read you are planning your visits...and always thinking ahead. I DO believe they both have 2 BR suites. I know the BWI has some amazing suites, as our friends stayed in a HUGE (special) one. They loved it...and can never stay in anything BUT this suite, now~! :p

I LOVE the new DIGS here in this lounge! Fresh wallpaper and deco, very cathartic & relaxing. ::yes:: Those lounge chairs are the most comfy EVER!! These are many of the reasons, I find it SOoo difficult to stay in anything but a suite on CONCIERGE/CL at ANY RESORT! It's the same with the darned airlines. We have not flown coach in more than 10 years, :cloud9: and can't even contemplate anything but first class.

It's just become such a part of our trip...the plush leather seats, luxury...treatment & food, etc. Ahh...it's just like full CONCIERGE/CL in the AIR! It definitely "spoils" you. And, once you KNOW about these things, that they exist...you simply MUST have them! (LOL). I tend to live by a simple philosophy. I choose to never settle for mediocrity. And, the funny thing is...I never have to. If you refuse to settle, and work for these goals...the SKY's the LIMIT! Of course, this involves a lot of help from a higher being, and a pure source of unlimited inspiration/possibilities. Through prayer and focus...we reach our goals and desires. We are truly blessed, and give thanks each and every day for everything we have...and are able to enjoy. Make sure to always HOLD your dreams in your hands (literally)...for, what you take into your hands...you take into your HEART.

TTFN...DF99 :wave2:

k&a&c'smom It is quite a walk from the elevators to the CL rooms. Garden view rooms have the view of Illuminations. Last Oct. we were in room 4252, this was a garden view and halfway between the elevators and the lounge. Give Jacki a call 10 days before your arrival date, that is when they assign your room. Explain the situation to her. She has Thursdays and Fridays off. She will do her best to accomodate you and she will be able to give you a better idea on which room is best for your needs.

VAgal76 Yes, the BWI does have 2 bedroon suites. I don't know how many there are though.

Hi everyone!! I am dropping in to leave out some wine and desserts, hope you enjoy them.
I am approaching being packed. It is very stressful, I am so afraid I will forget something vital! Have any of you ever forgotten something really important that you could tell me about, therebye helping me learn from your mistakes. One time we went on vacation and left THE bag at home. The one with medicines, makeup, contacts, all the vitals!
I am still keeping my secret. I have told them that I have a very big surprise for them on Friday. Shelby has been trying to guess all night. She just said "Is it Disney?" I had to bite my tongue and shake my head.
I wish you were all coming, DF99 can't you make your trip early, if you do I will stay another week and we will get to see BT!::yes::
Thanks for the eloquent post! You are very inspiring.

DF - You're absolutely right, the parties now that the kids are teenagers are much easier, just make the plans and they take it from there!;) We used to have the boys' party (they're 2 years and 1 day apart!) at the city pool - with pizza and snacks, they really enjoyed that! Not many backyard pools in this cold area. DD's b'day is late July, our very last day in the World this year! We have a late flight, to soak up as much magic as possible, yet be home for Daddy to wish her Happy Birthday!!:teeth:

KerryCM - Thanks for the help!::yes:: I'll be sure to talk with Jacki before our trip. I thought I remembered you saying the garden view had the view of Illuminations, it's hard to choose, a Boardwalk view sounds fun but the garden view sounds very pretty! Can't wait to try this resort again, CL this time!:sunny:

goodferry - Loooove that counter!;)

Tammy, I am so glad to hear that your mom is improving. She must be feeling so much better with that much fluid gone. My prayers are with her and you too.

goodferry, you're REALLY close now! I have forgotten to pack a jacket (big mistake, LOL) as well as forgetting to bring my reservation confirmation sheet. I can't wait to hear about your family's reaction when they learn about their surprise!

My computer crashed today (Sasser--even though I've had every protection known to man AND everything completely up-to-date in re: virus protection AND Microsoft). I have spent all day trying to reinstall everything (and encountered many more problems along the way).

I am desperately in need of links to the sounds of Disney. For the life of me I can't remember the name of the website that I used to download the "monorail" sounds--the "please stand clear". . .all of the various loop spiels, etc. Do any of my fellow LLs have the links so that I might reinstall these to my "sounds" file--I'm so bummed not to have the Mickey Wake-Up in the a.m. when I start up. . .I know I got all of these in the same place. In fact, I can copy the "please stand clear of the doors" spiel from my other computer, I really want to get the others back though.

Hoping someone here can help me! I've got a terrible headache after a day of this nightmare! :(

Just checking my counter :wave2: I have started packing and Don just sent an email telling me what to do upon check in. I am sooooooo excited.

All this "SUITE" talk!!!!

WELCOME to the
LIZARD LOUNGE

Concierge princess: ???? LOL!
But, to be honest...there's a lounge full of concierge royalty here!:teeth:

for you and PRaffen....here's some of Janet2k's pics of a
One bedroom suite at AKL. and the master bedroom of the AKL 1 bedroom suite.

goodferry...Big time KUDOS to you for keeping this trip
TOP SECRET!!!!!
You are GOOOOOOD!::yes::
Yes, stay another week and you and DF can join us on the G1 for Father's Day!:hyper:
please! please! please!
LOL! Think if you show this to DH he'll let you stay an extra week?:scratchin

kacsmom...I'm so excited that you're going to stay at the BWI CL!!!!
I also like your combination of resorts.....the woodsy WL and then the Atlantic BWI. Definetly will be TWO vacations in one!:cutie:

Also...goodferry...don't forget your makeup~!
That's what I forgot this last trip and it cost alot at the GF and France to get replacements!
Must the Southern gal in me...we like to wear our makeup!puckerup:
Even in hot, humid Florida!:sunny:

dreamflight....I love your eloquent posts! Inspiration and JOY that I know your DD will have inside of her also!

sojo...the famous email from DON!!!! You're almost there!!!!
:bounce:

Tess...How awful! :(
I'm no help ....I didn't know there were sound sites for those!
Maybe on the Tech board, Cricket or Dan Murphy has some links!
 to you!
I hate it when computers get "sick"!:badpc:

As for the Father's Day dinner before the G1...has anyone eaten at Citrico's?
Narcoosee's is another great choice! One of DH's favs.
:earsboy:

I'm settled in tonight with a decaf latte and a slice of Italian cream cake.:cloud9:

You mean Don sends those emails to EVERYONE?!? I thought I was special princess: I guess that is the point. :sunny:

Actually, he doesn't send them to everyone!
So you ARE special!:teeth:
;)

Between sojo and goodferry going to my two favorite CLs,
I'm  :hyper: :p  !!!!!

Morning Everyone - I'll start the coffee and lay out the pastries and bagels, maybe some fresh fruit.

goodferry & sojo - You guys are soo close, how do you stand the pent up excitement?

DF99 - Party sounds really awesome or is that wicked cool? I can't keep up.

Tammy - Great news on mom.:Pinkbounc

Woody - My thoughts and prayers are with you. Lots of PD & to help you through the next days.

Tess - Computer crashes are the pits!:sad1:. let us know if you get the sounds.

We got our confirmation from BC IPO on all our PS. Our days are packed full of park touring, so not sure how much lounge time we will get that week. Just have to plan another CL vacation to WDW!

dreamflight99 -
we got bitten by the business class bug about 3 years ago....actually what happened is my son started wearing a body brace earlier that year....using those all important connections i was able to secure exit seats (in coach) for him and my 6'7" tall husband....but after only one hour into the 12 hour flight, my son was in agonizing pain.....so for the flight back i upgraded all four of us.....i always considered flying anything but coach terribly frivolous....terribly terribly frivolous....but since that summer (2001) we've done all of our longhaul flights in business class....but still domestically we fly coach.......it's kind of funny after flying super pampered for 12 hours, to have to rough it....
but i still can't justify that part of the expense....but i might breakdown after this summer....

Tess -
i just noticed your tagline - "buckeye in wolverine country" - funny....beware....i'm a wolverine and we have teeth (do we?...i've never actually seen a wolverine other than the kind in a football uniform).....
but in any case i don't live there anymore....i miss the lakes, trees, etc etc etc.....

BT - Yes, we're excited about trying WL for the first time, hope we like it almost as much as the Poly (not expecting to surpass Poly or AKL!;) )

We are trying Citrico's for the first time this trip, we've eaten at Narcoossee's a few times and really loved it, I love the location on the water. Artist Pt. and CA Grill will be new for us this trip, too. I don't know how we've missed these rest. in the past!:teeth: DD and I love to try new restaurants at WDW almost as much as we love the parks!!::yes::

Morning all!:wave2:

GoofyJoofy...thanks for the coffee and fruit! I'll take a pear this morning with my coffee.

disneyholic family...I've enjoyed all my freebie tickets from SWA, but first/business class is the way to go when you're flying for an extended time...no doubt!::yes::

I'm leaning towards Narcoosee's for pre-cruise dinner.
Dad and mom have never eaten there and I think Dad would get a kick out of those "yards" of beer.
:drinking1

So much to do this and next week!

goodferry.. and sojo...ya'll ready yet?

And wondering if floridafam has made it back home.

hehehe! kacsmom...I know what ya mean! But, being adventurous is wonderful! You will love the WL and the BWI.
(Notice my trips are ADVENTURES!!!!):teeth:

Good Afternoon all!

I couldn't stand this thread getting so low on page 1, so I am giving it a little boost.

I am less than 60 days out for my first CL experience!:scared1: I still have so many PS's to decide on!!!!

Oh well...I'll put out the afternoon snacks and sodas!

I need to pack and I am here at work:earseek: It is a good thing we are driving because I am already taking way too much stuff. Please send your final suggestions. I still have managed to keep the concierge upgrade a surprise for my husband. He is very bummed that I wasn't able to secure an upgrade, but I keep telling him not to give up that maybe some magic will happen

sojo, you're so close too! I never pack until the last minute, so you're way ahead of where I would be. Since you're driving, I do have one suggestion--take your own pillow. I never sleep as well on another pillow as I do on my own, but I always forget to take it with me (even though I drive too). I am looking forward to hearing about your husband's reaction to the surprise of staying concierge! :)
