Sorry for the double post.
I didn't want to post too much information about the Summerhouse BBQ because I know Janet would be able to describe it so much better than I could.
The BBQ was amazing. We made our way to the Grand Floridian from the Wilderness Lodge and were told where to find the Summerhouse. Our jaws dropped when the party area came into sight. The area was blocked off and we were met by Stuart-if I ever have an event at WDW, I hope Stuart can handle the arrangements. He is wonderful-very professional. He seems to really have that Disney spirit.
We were overwhelmed by the food offerings: steaks grilled to order, corn on the cob, shrimp, salads, chicken. We all stuffed ourselves!
There was a gentleman there who made sure we had seconds of whatever we wanted (I don't remember his name) Our drinks were always full. I had a chance to talk to the bartender for a while about how he moved his family down to Florida and where his daughters go to school. He was very nice.
My children really enjoyed meeting and spending time with Janet's daughter. She is a doll!
The breeze coming off the water was so nice during our dinner. Time just flew by as we talked and listened to some of Janet's wonderful stories.
I should say that we all just stood there in shock when we saw the boat come around the island after our arrival at the party. It took a moment to realize who was waving at us. Mickey Mouse!
I guess this was the first time Mickey ever made an entrance like that. It was like something out of a movie. The boat pulled right up onto the beach (we thought Mickey was going to fly right out.)
I still can't believe Mickey was the surprise guest. He took many pictures and spent a lot of time with everyone at the party. We will never forget such a special time with Mickey. Thanks Janet!
Janet, you can share any of the pictures that you have of my family (just in case you were wondering.)
Many more exciting things happened that evening. I hope you all get a chance to look at Janet's photos. Janet just seems to have a way with words and with photos, so I hope she gets to describe the evening soon.

He needs to get used to waiting around on women.
It does just figure that the weather here in MI turns beautiful just as we head for vacation. I know, however, that it won't last long. . .Michigan weather is as changeable as Florida's.

I knew something was wrong!
