Which hotel has the prettiest decorations?

Are there any special meals/dinners we should know about?

Any Christmas tips?

This will be an important family time, we don't see each other as often as we like. We're looking at the week before Christmas.

Any Disney Christmas tips or advice would be appreciated.

GRAND FLORIDIAN hands down! I love Wilderness Lodge a lot too, but the Grand Floridian has THE most beautiful and ginormous tree ever. They also have a life sized gingerbread house from which they sell all edible gifts...amazing stuff that you would not believe was even edible by it's look. We never miss going there at Christmas.

Yes I think that Grand Flordian has one of the best decorations for Christmas as well as the Willderness Lodge. I been at Disney for seveal hoilday vactions. Done both a week before Christmas and the week of Chirstmas. What a huge difference in crowd, so much more people the week of Christmas. I would make reservations ahead of time for the restaurants. There are restaurants that have special "Christmas" dinners, you can go to Deb's website and you can usually find them list of the restaurants there. Most families from what I saw the times I have gone have their dinner Christmas Eve rather than Christmas day, and people like getting a little dressed up for it!

The Candlelight Processional at Epcot is my favorite thing about Christmas time at WDW. It is a presentation with choirs and a celebrity reading the Christmas Story. It is beautiful and so moving.

You can get reserved but not assigned seating by doing a dinner package which is well worth it I think.

All the parks and resorts are so beautifully decorated for Christmas but the Grand Floridian's decorations are my favorite as well.

The Grand, Wl, BW and the Yacht and Beach Club. If you get the chance see as many as possible.

Try to get tickets for the Candlelight at Epcot.

If you have the time do Mickeys Very Merry at the MK.

P.S. Don't forget to close your mouth once in awhile, because you will be in awe, the entire time.

Definitely do the Candlelit Processional...really adds to the Christmas Spirit!! :)

Xmas at Disney is seeing the World at it's best. Just as each resort has it's own theme, each resort's decorations has it's own "personality"! There are so many different styles, from the rustic charm of WL's tree, to the African inspired masks that hang on the AKL's tree, to the Victorian beauty of GF, there is really something for everyone at WDW during the holidays! I don't think you can go wrong anywhere at that time of year! ::MickeyMo

Any of the deluxe hotels have great decorations. I was not their on Christmas day, so I do not know of any special meals.

It's one of the best times to go to WDW.

Went this past Christmas. Well actually the week before. Left on the 23rd. We had a grand time. Caddlelight processional is a must. We had 12 with us and had a dinner package. Very fun.

As for resort, the Grand Floridian was awesome. We didn't stay there, but we did spend time resort hopping just to see the decor.

Osborne Lights was overwhelmingly bright, but fun.

For us there really wasn't a big crowd. However the cast member checking us out on the 23rd said the flood was coming in that night and the next and that she was off the rest of the week. She had 15years of senority and she was using it to the max. Said it would be crazy with people. That's from a CM.

Hands down the GF has the best decorations....

I say take some time to visit all the deluxe resorts if you can. Explore the Magic Kingdom at Night...its breathtaking.

And the Candlelight Processional is AMAZING! a MUST see....you might look into the dining packages with garunteed seating....they used to offer a pretty good deal.

We've been to the BWI & the WL at Christmas time & both were spectacular. I still remember the multiple trees all over the BWI property & the most amazing candy Christmas village ever. It was simply spectacular. It was beautiful to walk the grounds, drink hot chocolate & eat one of their wonderful desserts at the bakery. The WL felt more rustic, but equally beautiful & I loved the lobby with the huge tree & the decorations everywhere. Then the parks themselves. Wow ! You are surrounded by Christmas everywhere you go ! Might be I'm a little sappy but it was a Christmas wonderland !! :wizard:
