Sorry folks.... Have to remove the actual data because there are apparent copyright issues. I'm gussing thousands of posts will be removed or edited in the next few hours that contain any reference of direct information from the UoG.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello all... I ran by the bookstore today as my Unofficial Guide hasn't arrived yet from overstock.com (It should be here soon!).

I wanted to check the crowd level expectation section for our upcoming trip and thought I'd share what I found.

The guide lists the level by day in a 1-10 format with 1 being empty and 10 being the week between Christmas and New Years.

So... For our dates:

Thursday November 18 - Crowd Level X
Friday November 19 - Crowd Level X
Saturday November 20 - Crowd Level X
Sunday November 21 - Crowd Level X
Monday November 22 - Crowd Level X
Tuesday November 23 - Crowd Level X
Wednesday November 24 - Crowd Level X
Thursday November 25 - Crowd Level X
Friday November 26 - Crowd Level X
Saturday November 27 - Crowd Level X
Sunday November 28 - Crowd Level X

We are actually flying home on Thanksgiving day, but I knew many of you would like the info for the Thanksgiving weekend so I picked that up as well. :smooth:

As a comparison, a quick view of July had the parks at an X for almost every day.

By the way.... This is our 4th year in a row going this same week and I would say the UOG expectation seems consistent with what we've seen in the past. Bigger crowds have been reported lately, so it will be interesting to see if the trend holds true this year.

Hope this helps and is useful!

Thanks for the info!!! My family arrives on Tuesday, Nov. 23 for seven days. This will help us plan our daily activities.

Given all of the reschedulings because of the August/September storms, I think you can reasonably expect the crowd levels to be bumped up a level or 2. There have been a number of posts by long time off season travelers noting higher than average park attendance.

Have fun!

The chart matches our experience. Starts light on the weekend before and builds as the week progresses. By T-Day it is very busy...

Maverick - This is our maiden voyage at ASMu, and our dates overlap with yours (ours 20-26). If you see a guy with a shaved head, a DW and 2 well behaved teenagers... it will be us. :)

Thanksgiving Day is our getaway day as well. I certainly hope the trend reported is correct

Whew! We have the same dates.. fly in the 18th and depart on Thanksgiving evening. I hope the crowds aren't too bad. I know T-Day will be FULL but I'm hoping the days prior aren't bad.

What I've noticed the last 3 years is the day before Thanksgiving (Wednesday) just SEEMS so much busier than the other days of or trip leading up to that. If Wednesday truly is a '5', I know I don't want to be there for Christmas. LOL!

I'm sure there are benefits to being there between Christmas and New Years, but I just don't think it would be a good fit for my family after all these years of traveling off-season.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info! It will certainly help with my park planning.

We arrive the 28th for the week after Thanksgiving. I know that the weekend will be crowded but I sure hope it clears out after that!

Where did you find the crowd level chart? I would love to know the crowd levels for Dec. 4-8.

Would you mind letting me know what the crowd levels look like for Veteran's Day weekend? I didn't think it was typically a huge holiday weekend, but there are a lot of sellouts in hotels.

michmouse, the UOG says Dec 1-16 is all 1's. Supposedly the lightest crowds. I have to believe predicting the crowd levels in WDW is like predicting the weather in Orlando. Hope for the best, but expect the worst. ;)

I am arriving the night of the 17th and leaving the morning of the 22nd. I hope these levels are true for the days we are there. Just over two weeks to go!! :Pinkbounc

Does anyone know what is says about the following Monday and Tuesday (Nov 29 and 30)?

When I get the guide in the mail I'll try to answer any other date questions. Hopefully I'll receive it this week as overstock.com sent me an email saying it had been shipped.

The 29th and 30th of November will have drof off, if I remember correctly, but it wasn't as much of a drop off as I thought. Maybe people stay an extra day or two after the weekend holiday hoping for lighter crowds???

More info to come......

WOW! All I can say is I am disappointed!!
From everything I have read here, everyone goes home on the 28th! I SURE hope so!
I maybe rethinking fantasmic on the night of the 28th!!:(

Maci,

I got the book today. Don't be disappointed as my memory was incorrect.

November 29 is a 2 for crowd level
November 30 is a 1 for crowd level

After that it is a crowd level of 1 all the way to December 17.

Hope this helps!

It looks like it will be a great week. We're planning to be at US on Thanksgiving Day and end our trip at WDW on the Friday. I'll probably try to pick the parks that are the least crowded but we have to go to MK that night to end our vacation.

Oh GOOD!! Thanks Maverick!

Hi Maverick,
I would love to see the rating for November 6 if you get your book soon! Thanks!!
