I would have waited. Unless it was actually time to get on the ride, what's waiting a few more minutes really matter?
I would have waited a minute and avoided the remaining 20 minutes of awkwardness with that family in the line. You only got 1 family ahead in the line but paid a price by having your night ruined.
Lets use another analogy here. I was at McD's this morning getting my breakfast. I proceeded to the speaker and ordered. I then went ahead a bit but had not reached the first window to pay yet because there was a line. SO, I began counting my change. While counting, the car ahead had moved up leaving me room to get to the first payment window but was still not at the second window. The car behind me actually beeps. I thought that was absolutely ridiculous. The car in front of me had not even gotten to the pick up window yet. Should he have just gone around me? He really wasn't moving any quicker. He was just hurrying up to wait. Slow down and enjoy life people.
Should I have waited while they finished their rather lengthy photo shoot? Really ruined the night for me. I suppose I should have just let her have her way but she made me sooo mad!!!!
Maybe the guy behind you shouldn't have beeped, but the guy behind him, waiting to pull up to the ordering kiosk, sure would have been justified. While you're counting your change, nobody behind you can move, which means there's someone who could have been ordering but isn't.
OK, I just found this thread. I don't have time to read 19 pages, so I skipped from page 1 to 19.
Did I miss anything?

Initiating confrontation, not really, if you, general you, take your time to move, you initiating negative reaction from others, so just be consiered for others an they will not bring negativity to you. you starting a chain reaction and it is up to you not to do it, remember you can only control yourself and you cannot expect anything from anyone.
And? What would ordering 15 seconds earlier have done?
I'm gonna call BS on this one. Ain't no way CMs would let this happen. And this from the poster who asked the question "exaggerate much" waaaay back in the thread.
I guess you don't have much of an "actual life" today, huh?
Oh, it's definitely human nature to want to move, even if it's just to stop and stand still at a point 20 or so feet ahead. I feel it too. As someone said earlier in the thread, hurry up and wait!
I'm just saying it's polite to restrain that urge when it won't actually delay anyone from getting on the ride... which in the case of TSMM, it won't.
Since you asked....
Yes, you should have waited, at least it would have been reasonable for you to do so. Provided of course that they weren't there so long that the people in front were getting to the line merge (where the glasses are given out).
That said, the other lady should have asked you if you wouldn't mind waiting just a minute while they snapped the last few photos, and then she should have thanked you profusely when you said "sure".
So while I think your best move would have been to wait it out, the other lady wasn't being courteous either.
Miss anything ?
No.

Like cutters are trying to explain why it's OK for them to cut in line.![]()
There's at least one rule -- No cutting in line.
And if you agree that it is cutting to jump in front of somebody to fill a two foot gap between them and the next person in front of them, no matter the reason for the gap, I don't see the difference in jumping in front of them to fill a thirty foot gap, when their dalliance will not affect, in any way, the time you get on the ride (or, in TSM case, to the FP merge point).
Anyone have a photo to post of this rule... I've never seen it... clearly it isn't written in Portuguese as the Brazilian teen tours will swarm past you in a line like locus moving toward an crop of wheat.
Because it is one of the urban legends. Sign suppose to be somewhere as you just enter the property but nobody ever saw it and lived to tell the story.
There's no sign that you shouldn't defecate in the line entrance, either, but I'm pretty sure most people realize that's not allowed.
