Going to Orlando in March during spring break so expecting a heavy crowd and we are not staying on-site. My DDs will be 6 and 4 at the time, with the 6 y.o. being over 42 inches and the 4 y.o. will likely be between 40-42 inches tall. They are HP, Simpsons, Seuss, and Despicable Me fans.

Considering the crowd, the rides their eligible for their heights, and their favorites, my question is, do we buy a 1-park ticket, or 2-park? Is it worth it to buy express pass?

TIA

Given what your kids like your probably looking at 2 park.

Universal Studios
Simpsons 40"
Despicable me 40"
HP Diagon Alley Gringotts 42"

IOA
Seuss 40" and Under (several rides)
HP Hogmead
Forbidden Journey 48" (everyone can take castle tour)
Flight of Hippogriph 36"

Hogwarts Express (transportation between parks park to park tickets required)

If you had to narrow it down to just 1 I'd say Universal Studios. As far as express passes go, they are not useful on most HP attraction. I would budget for them but wait until you get there before you actually purchase them. If you arrive at RD and have a good plan (if you search online there are a couple that could be customized touring plans.com and orlando informers are 2 sites that have 1 day 2 park plans. ) you may not need them if your will to wait in a couple of moderate length lines.

If you are at all interested in Harry Potter, You will need a PARK TO PARK ticket ( Universals version of a park hopper).Harry Potter Hogsmeade is in Islands of Adventure and Harry Potter Diagon Alley is in the studios. The Hogwarts express runs between the 2 and requires a park to park ticket to ride it

To fully experienc HP you will need a two park pass. I would buy the two park ticket and get the express pass. If it were a quiet period I might say skip the express pass but with one day and all that, I heavily recommend the express pass.
