I don't think you have gone to far. I would have been at their door before now! No one is going to stick up for your kid but you.

The only thing I see negative I see is you calling those kids little pricks. Sorry, just don't like that word.

It sounds like Kendra is in her own yard doing her own thing. I would take the tape to the parents and let them watch it. Make sure you make a copy first

Also, I like the idea TOYSTORYFAN said. Martial Arts. Then she can kick the *&$% out of them.

believe me deep down I feel the same way, but violence should be an absolute last resort. The key is the ability to defend herself and instill a cetain level of fear when confronted by multiple attackers/bullies. In some very specialized training we have done called Krav Maga (combat version) (which I am NOT suggesting for your daughter) you acquire a target and overcome quickly, then move on. If your attacker's "partners in crime" see that you incapacitated one of them in seconds (the look of terror in their faces is priceless) they will ABSOLUTELY think again before stepping out of line again.

There are 3 stages you go thru on your way to becoming a Black Belt (I'm not there yet but working towards it)

1st Stage (Fear) I hope no one picks on me because I don't know how to defend myself

2nd Stage (Aggression) I hope someone picks on me so I can kick the crap out of them

3rd Stage (Fear) I hope no one picks on me because I don't want to hurt them

Jules - I also don't think you've gone too far. I hope you took a pic of the writing on the sidewalk. And you need to begin documenting EVERYTHING - including doing as many tapes as you feel you need to. I also think that the next move is not only to talk to the parents but perhaps the police. See what you need to do and what type of "scare" you can give these kids if you don't want to press any charges. Sometimes the police will be more than happy to help you put a scare in the kids that are causing this - these are the kids that tend to up on the streets in gangs and causing problems later in life. The more to help them now, sometimes the better!!!!
