I have booked a package holiday with airtours to stay 2 weeks at easter at ASMo with my 9 yr old DD.

Because she is classed as an adult as one room must have 2 adults to get the child discount, her price is the same as mine.

But that cost includes the park hopper tickets, shouldn't they have discounted the ticket cost for a 9 yr old. I have asked the travel agent but they reckon not

As the trip has cost £3.500 for the two of us, I feel that I have been ripped off somehow

Any advice ?

Hi,
I dont know if you have been ripped off or not but, we have paid £2,500 for 2 adults and two kids (15 and 12). THis includes airport transfers, hotel suite 4* two rooms, off international drive with free breakfast, shuttle to all parks and insurance. It does not however include the park tickets. If you are staying on- site I think it is a bit more expensive. I keep looking at the boards as well, thinking I may be able to do our hol cheaper.Hope this helps and have a great holiday. major

I;'ve just taken a look on the www.disneyworld.com website, and 2 weeks at Easter at the AllStar Movies, for one adult & one child is $2,375.28, and 2 weeks for 2 adults is $2,494.88

so, it is quite possible you have been overcharged. I would ask when you check in if you have been given 2 adult passes, they might be able to change one to a child pass for you.

I think a single adult and child is a scenario where you could make big savings if you book things independently. The airline would give you a child price, your passes would be cheaper, and the room is the same price regardless of how many people are in it (and their ages)

Saying that - Easter is one of the busiest times of the year and it can be quite hard to get reasonably priced flights at that time.

The problem with UK package holidays, is they charge per person, unlike every where else where it is per room. You would be far better off ging independently if you can - even direct thro Disney would be better than this price - it's a rip off! If you can't cancel without penalty then try to just keep the flight element and book the room separately.

All Ill say is due to recent experiences I wouldnt give Airtours a penny of my money And Going Places who own them just tell you lies and are run by what seems YTS staff I asked about a brochure One Girl said they hear the day before when it comes out,A week later Another girl says they only get to hear 6 weeks before!! THEN another girl says shell ring me when it comes in its been in a while now--Guess what Still no phonecall!! Absolute terrible system and Company I booked the same hol with Virgin online more perks and better planes and bag drop-off,Twilight checkin etc for about 30 percent cheaper!! All I can say is Virgin get betterand airtours/Going palces will go bust soon as their that bad!
