We're going March 2 - 11 2006, hoping to get S/D at the Teacher's Rate but expecting that we'll have to settle for a Mod. Our last trip was this Jan. and we used code BPD to get 2 days at AllStar between 3 days each at S/D and I noticed that the code was good until April 15 and could be used at Mods. With all this in mind I haven't booked a room yet as I figure: 1. There will be a code I can use that will probably come out in Oct. as it did last year, 2. If not, I'll get the AAA code and save 15%, or 3. I'll buy one AP and book the room at that rate.

What concerns me is that others are booking this time frame already and I'm thinking I should lock something in now regardless of price, and wheel & deal for a bargain later. Any thoughts along these lines?

We have booked our rooms already at the CBR for March 31 through April 9. I only booked the room because I am still waiting for cheeper airfair for that time frame. If a discount or a code comes out for the rooms or packages I can change my stuff but for now I only had to put down a small amount for the room resevation which can be cancled within five days of arival with a full refund. I am happy that I did get 30% off the rooms with that "court case" settlement thing (I do not know what to call it exactly) but I am hoping for a free dinning thing or something better to be offered in the fall for the spring ... either way the only thing that would stope Us from going down in the spring is if we do not get good airfair.

Can someone help me with the discounts you are talking about? I've booked the CBR Feb 25- Mar 2 (5 nights before our Wonder cruise). I booked the land portion seperate from the cruise b/c it is cheaper that way. However, I also am a teacher so i would love to know what deal is being offered! If a code comes out in Oct. can I alter my reservation? TIA for any advice.

Yes if a code comes out and is available for your time frame and resort you can apply/change your resevations to reflect that ... lots of people do that all the time. FYI ... teachers can get a discount at the Swan and Dophin, it is a nice dicount if you like the deluxe places and if they offer it when you are going (I do not think they have them out for sping yet but I might be wrong.)

Bill from PA- S/D teacher rates for 2006.
I called yesterday for June 2006 - they told me to call back in December 2005 or January 2006.
They told me no teacher rates out yet for 2006.

So, you did not miss the boat :boat: !

I did reserve a 'BEST RATE' for the Dolphin - but it is $304 :earseek: for a deluxe non-smoking room with a balcony and view of Crescent Lake and resorts.

Hoping for the teacher rate :teacher: - DH teaches at a College in the evening after his normal job one night a week. Great way to qualify for the teacher rate - and I guess a good retirement job for my DH ;)
