Have any of you seen the picture floating around on the internet, with the family poking fun at Disney in New Orleans?

I have the picture but I can’t post it here it’s a family board after all.

At first I thought it was sick, after a bit I thought it was pretty funny, and then I realized it was what looked like to be a father and his daughter with the mother in it as well, then I started to get offended.

I don’t know it is pretty funny I guess, but I have a love for Disney that makes me wish it was not done at all, I guess I’m a hypocrite because I kept the picture and added it to my collection of funny stuff.

Also it was done in New Orleans and it is an adult play land of sorts.

Some of you may see it, and want to go out and make those outfits I’m sure they are for sale somewhere. Some of you may get upset if you see it. I would love to make it a poll but alas I cant post the picture.

I’m just curious to those that have seen it, what did you think about it?

If your curious and want to see it Email me and I’ll send you a link to it.

Ed - I think the concept is hilarious but not necessarily the people in the picture...if your assumption is correct.

Make a poll for the folks that have viewed the picture.

I find the concept kinda cute, just like Mario said, but kind of grossed out if it is the family combo you said. (that was my thought on WHO it is as well). Well kind of gross they would wear that in public (I know it was probably Margi Gras). Seems more to me something fun to save for you and the honey in the bedroom, you know?

Funny.....yes
Pretty much inappropriate.....yes

Ed,
If you had posted that picture I think Lauri would have broken her fingers trying to get that deleted as quickly as she could.
I too find it very strange that a mother and daughter would walk around with dad in that getup. Ok, parts were covered, but still. And that mother! Mickey must have been having a bad day, he was looking down. lol sorry, couldn't pass on that one.

I could see some teens or 20's dressing like that, but not the family together. Guess some people will do anything for Mardi Gras Beads. Peggie

Peggie...those were Mickey Through The Years...1953 and 1982

Maybe that was someone who just wanted his picture taken with them.

Well, I think my feelings are quite similar to everyone else's here...

On first glance, it was :earseek: "oh my"...

Then I have to admit, I laughed... :jester:

Followed by thoughts of "why, oh why do people have to do something like that... if any kids see it..." (and yes, we waited to view it until the girls were in bed... we're fairly open about a lot of things dealing with life and such, but I don't think I really want to explain some types of behavior just yet to the girls!) ;)

Then the artist side of me took over, and I started to really critique the artistic talents and abilities of the person who crafted the "costumes"... :p You know, they could have done a much better job in recreating a more authentic Mickey and Minnie... the eyes are all wrong... the noses... okay, I know why they did the noses the way they did, but c'mon! And when is the last time you saw Mickey & Minnie with whiskers??? :smooth:

As to the familial connections of the parties shown... well, I'm pretty sure the 2 women are related in some way, shape or form (their noses do look similar... as to other body parts, well...) Giving a little benefit to the doubt, I'm hoping that the guy shown is a friend or acquaintance of the photographer and not related to either of the women.

That's about it for now... I'll let Brian add his 2 cents worth later, if he has a hankering to.

Well, first I laughed because I thought it was one of those costume like things. Like the hairy, muscle Tarzan chest you can buy and wear like a shirt. Then I realized it WASN'T a costume and I thought...eww... well, braver souls than I.....

I'm thinking the guy wasn't actually with them. You'll notice he's the only one looking at the camera... kind of a "Hey, buddy! Get a pic of this!" shot that he ran up to get. At least I'm hoping.....

Mickey through the years!!!!!! ROTF!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess you are probably right about the guy sneaking in the pic.......MEN! :)

Well, Ed, thanks for the picture. It was certainly......ahemmm......eye catching. It does look like a cozy yet slightly dysfunctional family unit. I like the guy doing the ogling from behind on the left. They certainly didn't do Mickey justice! (Well, maybe the younger one did)

HBC;)

I have not seen this. Will someone be so kind as to pm or e-mail me a link?

Thanks for sending along the picture!!

Funny--YES!
Inappropriate place for such attire (or lack of)--YES!

Being female--my twisted mind is really wondering how much pain was involved (I guess this would depend on adhesive type) removing Mickey's/Minnie's nose?????:jester:  ....and.....at least these 2 women were well endowed, because the alternative location for Mickey/Minnie would probably have made it difficult to sit down.............which brings up even more twisted things:eek: !

Thanks for the good giggle, Ed!!
