Hi

I was wondering if anyone has heard of any Canadians winning in the Disney OMDD contest? :goodvibes

Here's one for the conspiracy theorists... I haven't seen any Canadians yet on the scroll, and the winners seem to concentrate around the Southern states (low transportation costs?) Hmmm... Food for thought

I believe that one of us will win by the time the contest ends!! Or at least I'm hoping!:)

USA has 10X the population of Canada, so not surprising that none of us have won yet.

I'd be very surprised if more than 1-2 of us actually did win....and not surprised at all if none of us won.

But I'll take my chances and enter everyday.....you can't win if you don't enter popcorn::

Trying and trying! :goodvibes

If any of you won, what would you choose? DL or WDW?

If Disney would let us take our return flight home about 2 weeks later, then we would choose DL. That means we would be able to take the October Hawaiian cruise! Airfare there & back, plus 4 days at DL which we have never been to.

And if not, then we would choose WDW. And as a 13th birthday present for our DD, we would invite & pay for her to bring a friend or two.

I believe that one of the winners is a Canadian living in the U.S.

I am getting an error message almost every time I enter :(

I am getting an error message almost every time I enter :(

I did too the first few days. I found some advice that helped. I am on a Mac, exited Safari, emptied my cache, quit Safari, went back to disney.com and logged in. Then went to the OMDD site and entered. No more errors. You can do the same thing with Internet Explorer. After doing that I seemed to get no more errors at all for the last couple of weeks, and I enter myself and my husband each day, logging in and out through the disney.com website.

Good luck

I repeatedly try, still no luck!

We're going to pick DL since it's only 4 nights.

I have been entering every day since the 2nd week of January. I am keeping my fingers crossed :D We would pick WDW and would make it an adult trip since we have 4 kids.....we are mean ;)

emptied cache and still can not enter the contest :(

try entering with another browser, for a few days I would hit enter and get redirected to kick butowski page. I finally went to google and tried and could enter again.

I've entered every day since day one! 10 Dis winners makes me more optimistic since there have been no Canadian winners yet! Here's hoping:wizard:

This is unfair !!!

It does suck, I used to live in Montreal.

It isn't the company holding the contests though - apparently there are really strict guidelines with contests within the province that just make it impractical for the sponsoring company. I don't know for sure if the info below is 100% correct as I found it on another site. These apparently are just some of the things the sponsoring company would have to do:

-Register the sweepstakes rules and all advertisements used to promote the contest with the Quebec government at least 30 days ahead of the sweepstake's launch.
-Pay a fee of up to 10% of the sweepstake's value, depending on who is allowed to enter.
-Agree to allow the government of Quebec to mediate any lawsuits arising from the contest.
-Follow strict guidelines about the contents of the sweepstakes rules.
-Allow the Quebec government to determine if the sweepstake may be changed or canceled once it has started.
-File a written report after the contest has concluded, attesting that the prizes have been delivered or attempted to be delivered.
-Agree to follow a number of other rules and guidelines. See the Quebec Sweepstakes Laws.
