Now I'm curious which resorts @Matty B13 and @Bing Showei were checking out...
Doing a split between BCV and VGF. The latter being my home resort, sadly (speaking of buying sight unseen). Now I'm curious which resorts @Matty B13 and @Bing Showei were checking out...
Does your comment suggest you are unhappy with VGF?Doing a split between BCV and VGF. The latter being my home resort, sadly (speaking of buying sight unseen).
Not at all. I bought without having ever stayed on the DVC side. Love the hotel side, but have never seen the inside of any DVC room or stayed on DVC points.Does your comment suggest you are unhappy with VGF?

A big no-no ‘round these parts, I know. Here’s hoping there’s enough parallel between GF and VGF.
Agree with above. You'll be fine! Allow Bell Services to "do their job" (they do it well). Have a great trip and enjoy that new home! Not at all. I bought without having ever stayed on the DVC side. Love the hotel side, but have never seen the inside of any DVC room or stayed on DVC points.

Not sure if you have little kids, but we found that split stays at different resorts wasn't for us because it pretty much ate up a day in the move.
Yes they can, but you still have to be in the room to hand it off to them, and then at the next resort you have to call and wait for them to drop it off. So I would say it takes about 2-3 hours out of your day to hand the luggage off to them.

I'm with you on the feeling of losing a day between split-stay locations. I've done a couple when needed ... but don't plan to do them again. One of our problems are our electronics ... we feel we must hand carry quite a few of these (rather than simply hand them off to bell services) and they are a pain to lug around.I think that it could have gone smoother if we hadn't over packed, maybe it just seemed like it took a lot longer than it did because of how much we had to pack up first and then unpack.
Than being said, after that trip my wife and I decided that split stays weren't for us, maybe when are girls are teenagers we might try again. It just felt like we wasted a day with moving all our
stuff and would have enjoyed our vacation more without moving between resorts.
Also, Bell Service did an excellent job with our luggage, I think the problems were on our end.

Ugh! I had forgotten about the electronics. I will definitely see if we can get a late checkout at the Dolphin so minimize the time we are out of the room.
I split stay a lot and always leave my laptop in the bag I leave with bell services for the transfer. I haven't had any problems to date. As an alternative you could rent a locker at the park and put your electronics in there.
If you're having bell services move your luggage, doing a late checkout at Dolphin (assuming you're handing off the luggage later in the day) may delay getting the luggage to the second hotel when you get back from the parks. I guess it depends on your plan. I've done a split stay between Swan and WL and it was very easy!
